AT proposes charging for ferry car parks

Parking meters should be introduced at the two Devonport ferry terminal car parks, an Auckland Transport (AT) report says. Car-parking has traditionally been free at these parks, athough various time restricti-

ons are enforced. Establishing “paid parking in the totality of the two ferry terminal carparks” would improve availability and turnover, cut down “car shuffle” and would encourage alterna-

tive modes of getting to the ferry such as public transport and cycling, the report says. In the “medium term”, AT also wants to increase paid-parking (P90 or P120) supply in the town centre by adTo page 2
