Nadhim Zahawi MP, then Chairman of the Conservative Party, was dismissed following an independent inquiry.
Zahawi had to pay a £5 million fine to HMRC for unpaid taxes while serving as the Chancellor.
The inquiry found Zahawi committed "a serious breach of the ministerial code" regarding his tax affairs.
