Valentine’s Day Awareness

This date is celebrated every year on February 14th in many countries around the world, such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France and Australia. The celebration had its origins in ancient Rome and, since then, has promoted the feelings of love and friendship. It is usually commemorated with gifts, flowers and chocolates. It is also customary to exchange cards and poems.

Our school, being a multicultural space, encourages us to learn about traditions from around the world and, therefore, to create a festive atmosphere, our students wore red, pink and white clothing today. In addition, in English classes they made cards and participated in various Valentine’s Day activities.

Cada año se festeja el 14 de febrero en muchos países del mundo, como Estados Unidos, Canadá, México, Reino Unido, Francia y Australia. La celebración tuvo su origen en la antigua Roma y, desde entonces, promueve los sentimientos de amor y amistad. Se suele conmemorar con regalos, flores y bombones. También es costumbre intercambiar tarjetas y poemas.

Nuestro colegio, al ser un espacio multicultural, nos anima a conocer tradiciones de todo el mundo y, por ello, para crear un ambiente festivo, nuestros alumnos vistieron ese día prendas rojas, rosas y blancas. Además, en las clases de inglés hicieron tarjetas y participaron en diversas actividades de San Valentín.
