Performance Notes:

1. Dynamics: macro and micro dynamics are indicated in the score. The micro dynamics are indicated within each part in detail and are relative to the dynamics within the parts themselves. The macro dynamics of the piece have also been indicated at the beginning of each section and are relative to the overall global dynamics of the orchestral texture with in essence is an overall crescendo from the beginning of the piece to the end. This is indicated by the following:

2. Glissandi: The glissandi begin at the beginning of the note at the pitch indicated and slide all the way to the next note indicated, landing on the next note at the beginning of the note precisely at the pitch indicated. The players do not have to slide in exact unison so long as they land on the indicated note precisely together.

3. Harmonic glissandi indicated in the contrabass part in M is ad lib between individual players.
