CC Bids Farewell to Four Teachers We would like to wish a VERY happy retirement to Fr. James O’Neill, CSB (15 years), Fr. Rob Moslosky, CSB (19 years total, including a tour as Assistant Principal), Mr. Bob Salter (8 years), and Mr. Tony Magni (47 years at CC, 52 in Catholic education). Coach Magni will remain at the helm of the Shamrock track and cross country teams, but is stepping away from the classroom. Thank you to these remarkable individuals for their 89 years of combined educational dedication to Catholic Central High School.
Checking in with . . . Mr. McMichael Dominic Aiello ‘23 Staff Writer
What is something you didn’t expect to miss about school? “Nothing big. It’s really all of the small talks I have with the rest of the teachers and students.”
What children’s book have you memorized? “Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?” What is your favorite at-home coffee brand? “Kauai dark roast.”
Updates From Admin Catholic Central COVID-19 Committee (C4) The CC Administration has put together a working committee to explore not only the immediate solutions to some of our situations, but also looking ahead to proactively plan for whatever may arise in the next school year. The committee is composed of faculty, staff, student and parent representatives, and medical professionals. One of the first issues C4 is working on is Senior events and how to let students reclaim personal belongings from the building when it is possible to do so. The new Drive drawing date has been scheduled for May 21 at 2:00 p.m. We will be sending information regarding a live stream in the near future. Outstanding ticket stubs or checks should be sent to CC ATTN: The Business Office.
What do you miss most about school? “Being able to teach my students face-to-face and afternoon games of bocce on the football field.”
How many consecutive days have you worn the same shirt? “3 days. It was a weekend when I didn’t have to do a Zoom video chat.”
What is your favorite thing about being at home? “Being able to spend time with my wife and daughter. I enjoy being able to take walks with them.”
Have you read any books that you enjoyed? “Rammer Jammer, Yellow Hammer. It’s a good book for an escape from the quarantine.”
Your parents can easily resubmit your Magnus Health forms, or make any updates to your current forms, through the myCC tile. Look for the cogwheel next to each form, which allows you to confirm or edit the information.
What shows have you been watching during quarantine? “I finished all 10 seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm. It was pretty, pretty, pretty good.”
What is the first thing you’re going to do when this quarantine is over? “Thank God I can stop worrying about it.”
We are extending the due date for the physical form, and will let you know when we have a new due date.
