Alumni Association Mission Statement

The mission of the Catholic Central Alumni Association is to provide services, benefits, and activities of interest to the alumni, to foster an alumni body which is interested and involved in the affairs and functions of the school, and to provide such assistance to the school as may from time to time be requested of it.

MARY, ALMA MATER

Mary, Alma Mater, your sons of Central honor, and trusting in your goodness, we hopefully implore that by your grace we may every day prove that we are men of Mary, Alma Mater. Inspire us evermore. Mary, Alma Mater, your sons of Central honor, and proudly wear your colors, the Royal Blue and White. May valiant Blue and peerless White teach us to be men of Mary, Alma Mater. Inspire us evermore. Greetings, Fellow Alumni and Families,

I have recently been reflecting on the core mission of Catholic Central: “Teach Me GOODNESS, DISCIPLINE, and KNOWLEDGE.”

The four years at CC had and continues to have a profound impact on my life. The educators at CC were and continue to be dedicated to that core mission of teaching Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge. Life can be hard.

We, the men of Catholic Central, were given a foundation to navigate through the good times and the more challenging ones. The character we developed at CC guides us as we continue our education, embark on careers, and raise families. At CC, we learned to be men of honor and character.

GOODNESS - The will to do the right thing when you’re seen and when no one is looking.

DISCIPLINE - Making difficult choices, working hard, and fulfilling your commitments, even in the face of adversity.

KNOWLEDGE - A foundation of critical thinking that allows us to continue to adapt and learn.

We are blessed to have had this foundation, this core instilled in us at CC, and I am happy and proud to assure you that these core values continue to be taught to the next generation of the men of Catholic Central every day.

I encourage you to take a few minutes today and reflect on your time at Catholic Central and how it impacts your life. Allow yourself a moment to be grateful for that experience, and reflect on how it informs your decisions moving forward. I urge you to consider how you can utilize these core values to be a positive influence on those around you.

Finally, give some thought to how you can give back to the institution that continues to instill these core values in the next generation of CC men.

Remember, it’s always a great day to be a Shamrock, and God loves you!

Florida Reunion The CC Spirit Shines in Sunny Florida

The Catholic Central spirit was alive and well at the 2022 Florida Reunion on March 19. The atmosphere, weather, CC camaraderie, food, and hospitality of the Sharky’s on the Pier staff and Pachota Family was top notch and second to none!

Annually in March, over 100 Shamrock alumni and guests unite in sunny and beautiful Venice, Florida, for a reunion started almost two decades ago by members of the Class of ’55 and hosted by Terry ’55 and Karen Brady.

The past several years, Mike ’71 and Donna Pachota, and their son, Justin, have hosted this great gathering at their relaxing and wonderful restaurant, Sharky’s on the Pier, on Venice Beach. Thank you to Fr. John Wheeler, CSB ’57 and Fr. Tom Carzon ’86 for celebrating and concelebrating Mass at the beginning of our gathering. It is always a great way to start the event!

All CC alumni, family, and friends are welcome. See you in March 2023 for next year’s reunion!
