At around 10am, a renter advised me that their smoke alarm was beeping. I lodged an urgent job order with Detector Inspector to get it fixed. They contacted the renter and were able to visit the property that day. It turned out that the smoke alarm was faulty. The technician installed a new alarm and rectified the issue. The owner paid nothing as the call out and replacement alarm was included in the Safer Home plan.
Free callout for confirmed safety issues with electrical installations, appliances and fittings, including switchboard, power point or switch faults.
Free replacement of faulty or damaged standard safety switches, light switches, power points, fuses and circuit breakers.
If we attend a property and additional parts (not included in the subscription) are required for rectification, we will issue a quote to the property manager for approval and ensure the property is made safe prior to leaving.

During a routine inspection, I found a light switch had popped out of the socket. Once the inspection was complete, I was able to send the inspection report to the owner, letting him know that as he was on the Safer Home plan, I’d already arranged with Detector Inspector to attend and fix the light switch free of charge, with no callout fee. He was delighted with the service and because it was included, I didn’t need to wait for his approval.
Free callout for confirmed safety issues relating to gas installations, appliances and fittings and other gas appliance breakdowns including pilot light relights and thermocouple replacements.
Included free during the service: rectification of certain compliance issues including basic PTR line extensions, reconnection of minor loose ductwork, securing of freestanding oven, gas regulator rotation and protection of synthetic pipework from UV exposure.
