INTRODUCTION I.

Business Description

A. Company Name, Address, Form of Ownership

1.1 Company Name: Easy Clean The team has come up with a brand name Easy Clean, tagged as EC. This label was created so that the target market would know our products are easy to use, travel friendly, and eco-friendly. Like the brand name itself, Easy Clean aims to safeguard its consumers by providing them easy access to cleanliness wherever they are.

1.2 Address Production Place: 55 Polk Street North Greenhills

Easy Clean’s production/manufacturing site is located in North Greenhills which is a walking distance away from the brand’s selling place, Greenhills. The company’s manufacturing site is very convenient for its employees since it is close to the brand’s selling place. The company’s manufacturing site is also a great advantage since it can help reduce the company’s travel expenses.

Selling Place: Greenhills Mall

Although Easy Clean (EC) will have an online store, the company will also have a small stall at a bazaar, located inside Greenhills. Given that Greenhills Mall is a well-known place for shopping, this will put the company in many opportunities and increase its sales since the stall will have more exposure to customers who will visit the place.

1.3 Form of Ownership Easy Clean (EC) is a partnership of eight (8) people who have invested money and developed innovative ideas to create our product. Each team member is empowered to share responsibilities, ideas, and ownership. Individuals agree to operate the business as co-owners in this business partnership. In general, each member of this company will share difficulties, profits, and ideas for improving their products.

B. Statement of Mission, Vision, Goals 2.1 Mission Easy Clean desires to provide people easy access to proper sanitation and promote sustainability wherever they are. Empowering a clean community and a clean planet.

2.2 Vision Easy Clean strives to consistently create a world of pleasure by producing quality, reliable, and environmental-friendly products. We aspire to become a well-known brand that continues to empower people to live sustainably.

C. Nature Of Operations 3.1 Nature Of Operations Easy Clean (EC) is a manufacturing company that manufactures paper hand soaps. The products are created from sourced raw materials such as soluble paper, which acts as the product's base. The company will be in charge of current and future product innovations.

3.2 Product/s being Offered The central concept of Easy Clean’s product is to help customers maintain good personal hygiene by providing them with different light-scented paper hand soaps. The main ingredients of the product are soluble paper and scented liquid soap. The different scents of the product offered include citrus, aloe vera, and lavender. Easy Clean’s product is suitable for different skin types and is designed for travelers in which they are portable and easy to use.

II. Marketing Plan A. Market Description Because of the pandemic condition, people require good hygiene to avoid and prevent the virus' spread. With that, Easy Clean (EC) targets travelers, students, and employees, particularly commuters or those on the go, since they are more likely to be exposed to the virus daily. Easy Clean (EC) will be convenient for them because the products are compact and easy to carry to work. The products are for handwashing and are intended to moisturize and kill bacteria.

B. Competition Analysis Since the online purchase of paper hand soap is not very common in the Philippines, as you can see, Easy Clean has only two major competitors. These two businesses offer a variety of paper hand soaps at different prices.

With fewer competitors in this sector, Easy Clean will be at a good advantage since its products are more affordable and are environmentally friendly and safe to use helping meet the demands of its target market.

C. Marketing Strategies 1. Product Positioning/Strategies Easy Clean is an innovative hand soap that aims to spread joy and cleanliness for individuals who are always on the go. Easy Clean desires to provide their consumers with cleanliness so they may experience a clean life and a cleaner planet no matter where they are because the company values easy access to safety and sustainability for the world we live in.

Easy Clean makes sure its products are safe for everyone and the planet. That's why the company's paper-thin hand soap comes with a variety of scents to choose from.

And is made from water-soluble paper that easily dissolves in water, a plant-based 6

material composed of cellulose that guarantees that it is purely biodegradable and safe to use. a.) Branding

Easy Clean (EC) is the company's official brand name. The brand name emphasizes how easy, convenient, and travel-friendly our product is. Moreover, it is also aligned with the company’s mission and vision that focuses on creating easy access to proper sanitation.

The logo represents clean hands that serve as a representation of a clean and protected community the company envisions. The brand’s identity is fun and vibrant since the company is inspired to spread joy, not germs, to the community they care about. Easy Clean wants to assure its consumers that they care for the community and the planet's cleanliness with every wash.

“Clean You, Clean Planet.”

Aligned with the business' mission and vision, Easy Clean's tagline is "Clean You, Clean Planet," so it can attract and encourage customers that Easy Clean is a brand that values a clean community and planet. This tagline is also a reflection of Easy Clean’s product (paper hand soap) that promotes cleanliness without wasting any plastic. And a declaration that the power is in our hands to make the world a better place.

The product’s label has an eye-catching design covering a small box. Every box has a different design, a green box to represent aloe vera, purple to represent lavender, and the last of which is orange to represent the citrus scent. In front, it indicates the brand’s logo along with the name of each scent and the quantity of paper hand soap sheets inside.

On the back, it indicates the company’s tagline, “Clean you, Clean Planet” together with the directions on how to use the product, followed by each ingredient used to create the paper hand soaps.

2. Packaging

Easy Clean’s packaging has 3 different colors depending on the scent of the paper hand soap. Green for aloe vera, purple for lavender, and a shade orange for citrus. The packaging indicates the brand name of the company, the scent, and how many sheets are included per pack. The background design will also be based on the 3 different scents that the brand offers.

It is similar to the packaging of oil blotting papers or chewing gum packets with measurements of 9cm x 6cm, the ideal size to store an 8cm x 4cm sheet of paper hand soap. The entrepreneurs ensure that the packaging is pocket-sized so that it is easy to bring and convenient. Thus, Easy Clean guarantees that the product’s packaging is safe for the environment and cruelty free.

4. Place

Easy Clean will sell the products online and at Greenhills Shopping Center since Greenhills is known as a huge shopping place, a lot of customers will visit the area. In addition, the customers who will visit Greenhills may include commuters who travel daily which is the target market of the company. With this, it is a good location for the company to sell the products.

5. Promotions A. Social Media/ eCommerce Easy Clean will be utilizing social media, mainly Instagram and Facebook, and eCommerce, such as Shopee and Lazada as platforms to promote and sell its product since it is more convenient for both the company and its customers. This strategy is effective because social media is a great advertising tool to disseminate information and attract consumers, especially many customers who are engrossed in their devices.

Thus, selling the product through eCommerce platforms can easily attract and create hassle-free transactions for all its customers. Through this, the company will be creating and posting its product advertisements and other relevant information to keep its customers updated.

Since Easy Clean will sell and promote the products through social media platforms, the company will be giving out vouchers to those customers who will purchase more than one product. With this, the customers will gain interest in buying more of Easy Clean’s products.

6. People All of the personnel will be trained to know how to communicate with consumers and to be knowledgeable about the products they are selling. The company will also offer customer support on their website, so anyone with questions and inquiries can communicate with their staff. They will also offer after-sale service, so they can assist people that have wrong and damaged orders as well as assist consumers about the product.

Apart from those, here are some of the people who will also take part in the company’s hand soap business.

A. Chief Operating Officer Manages the overall operation of the company. He/She is responsible for leading an effective team. Good communication and critical thinking skills are necessary for choosing the right Operations Manager.

B. Production Manager The production manager will be the one to organize schedules and ensure that the overall process is completed on time and on budget. Good time management and interpersonal skills are required for the chosen Production Head.

C. Marketing Manager To reach the largest potential market, most soap businesses are willing to sell their products online. This implies that buyers will place a high value on the skills to capture the products well. They also oversee consumer trends and help strategize innovative ideas to better market the product. For that, the company will hire a Marketing Manager who is innovative and creative.

D. Staff They are in charge of finishing the product and packing it for delivery. Production and Sales Staff will be hired, so that orders may be completed and sent quickly. They play a significant role since they speed up the handling procedure.

7. Processing What’s unique about Easy Clean (EC) products from other similar paper hand soaps is that they are made out of organic raw materials (soluble paper) to prevent skin irritations and other possible skin problems. Though it is organic, it has a fruity, citrusy, and flowery scent that can capture the hearts of every generation. The packaging itself will be made out of eco-friendly products to be aesthetically pleasing in terms of its outbox.

With that being said, Easy Clean’s (EC) products will leave smooth, fragrant, and germ-free hands to its consumers. This ensures the safety of the customers, as well as how excellent the quality of these products are, and how they are being crafted to give satisfaction to the buyer on what type of paper hand soap product they are looking for.

Easy Clean's products will be available for purchase on online marketplaces such as Shopee and Lazada. And Easy Clean will also feature and advertise their products at Facebook and Instagram . Delivery couriers such as Lalamove, Grab, and

JRS Express will work on delivering the product for the delivery service. They will be a huge help in getting the product delivered.

Each collection will include 30 sheets of paper hand soaps but each pack will only contain 1 scent depending on citrus, aloe vera, and lavender. The fragrances have

a quota of 25 packs, with 30 pieces of scented paper hand soaps, that can be produced for 20 working hours (10:00 am - 6:00 pm) a day with 3 technical staff per set. The soap-making process would take about a week per batch of scents to give the soaps enough time to completely dry themselves before the packing and labeling stage.

III. Operational Plan (4M’s) A. Process/Operations of Design 1. Methods Easy Clean will be operating a manufacturing business since it will be utilizing all its raw materials and labor to produce its finished products, which will be sold directly to its target customers.

The start-up company will primarily manufacture its own paper hand soaps. And in order to produce their products, the company will purchase its raw materials, such as the water soluble paper and DIY hand soap kit, online — mainly in Lazada and Shopee to ensure quality and safety to its consumers. Moreover, the products will be directly distributed to the target customers through Shopee and Lazada (eCommerce) for the easy convenience between the company and their buyers. The business will also be made available at Greenhills Shopping Center, located at San Juan City.

● Data Privacy and Confidentiality It is very essential to maintain data privacy and confidentiality in the workplace because failure to do so can result in massive financial losses for the company. Every employee is expected to handle all data and information they encounter in the workplace with respect and caution. It is also important for employers to disclose confidential information about the business to those who just really need to know. ● Mobile Device Management Policy Employees’ mobile devices are among the most susceptible and least controlled technologies possible. When any device exits the company, the risk of security vulnerabilities tends to put all the equipment and confidential information at risk. That’s why this policy determines who can and should utilize mobile devices responsibly. For this policy, the company must reinforce the knowledge about this matter on a regular basis to the employees.

● Attendance, Holidays, and Leave Policy ○ Attendance Most employees are expected to work together with their coworkers to complete their tasks. To fulfill this collaborative effort, the company expects them to be punctual and comply with the agreed-upon schedule.

In case they are absent or late on occasion, they should have a good reason. ○ Vacation and Sick Leave Vacation leave without a letter may be declined at the decision of the employee’s manager or it will be charged to the employee’s salary. For the sick leave, it must be asked ahead of time, ideally five days before the start date of the leave.

○ Holidays If the company is closed during the holiday, it will be observed on the next business day. The employees will be informed immediately by communicating with them. If an employee misses a holiday due to an extended working time, they will receive additional salary. ○ Absent Without Leave Unauthorized absence occurs when an employee fails to attend work without a valid reason or if they mention illness as the reason for their absence but failed to obey the employer’s guidelines about reporting and certifying sickness absence. All unauthorized and unexplained absences are considered absences without leave, and the salary is deducted based on the length of the absence.

Financial Plan Easy Clean is owned and operated by a group of eight people, namely Destine Yam, Elaine Tiambeng, Angela Babida, Kathryna Alas-as, Christian Salvante, Kharl Dollente, Charles Mauleon, and Charleez Maranan.
