NEWS FROM LUCKLEY HOUSE SCHOOL
DofE FINAL EXPEDITION Last weekend was our final DofE expedition of the year and despite threat and forecast of rain in the days leading up to to our event, the participants were rewarded with a glorious day on Saturday and a thankfully mild and dry day on Sunday. This was the Bronze assessment for our intrepid Year 9 pupils and also for some of our very patient Year 10 pupils who have waited over a year to complete this section! All pupils were a credit to the school (as always!) and performed exceptionally well, especially considering the disruptions they have had in their training this year. There was no overnight camp again for our DofE group but I tend to think this was a blessing for some, to be able to go home and rest their weary feet before the next day of walking. Well done to all who took part. Make sure you finish your remaining sections over the summer so you can move up to Silver. Thank you also to the many staff that gave up their weekends to support our young people. These events would not be possible without your help. Have a great summer everyone!
