BROTHERHOOD
BRAGGIN’ RIGHTS
Spartan lacrosse trampled the turf at MICDS on April 13 when De Smet Jesuit became the first Missouri team in seven years and 99 games to take down the Rams. Connor Clancy ’21 scored the game-winning goal moments after Kyle Granquist ’22 saved the penalty shot, leading to the 8-7 overtime victory and elevating the ferocious brotherhood that comes from perseverance, a total team effort, and everyone playing his part. FAITH

WHAT REMAINS
Strip away the traditional schedule. Shorten the free time. Add the masks. And yet, what remained as powerful as ever in the spring 2021 Kairos retreats — the first since the pandemic — were student leaders still willing to put themselves out there. To be honest and vulnerable. To talk about God, faith, self, and how we grow and change, even as the world and traditions change around us. PHOTO: CARRIE BECHER
