Wheel loader fuel tank capacity varies significantly with machine size. The Desi Machines guide notes that most wheel loaders working on Indian sites carry around 165–300 litres of diesel, while smaller machines can have considerably less. For example, the ACE ALN 100 is listed with an 80-litre tank, the Tata Hitachi TL340H Prime with 165 litres, the JCB 455-5N with 280 litres and the XCMG ZL55GV with 300 litres. Large mining machines are in a different range altogether. The Cat 994K is listed at 3,445 litres. These figures are useful for planning refuelling requirements, but the exact machine specification should always be checked.
