THE WATERMARK AT ST. PETERS Creating a Social Hub

The Watermark at St. Peters is a three-story Independent Living community in St. Peters, Missouri, a coveted suburb of St. Louis. A $3.6 million renovation transformed the building core, corridors, and common spaces into purposeful and engaging environments.

The building’s center atrium was opened to create a light-filled social hub featuring game tables, a fireplace lounge, and access to a beautiful outdoor patio. Within this prominent attraction a new bar and café provide casual dining alternatives, alleviating overcrowding of the main dining room.

In the main corridor, a beauty salon and other amenities are presented as individual shops within a Londoninspired storefront. The new entrances offer a charming

characteristic and expanded views to the activity zones beyond. Back-lit art murals create pleasing moods inside the Exercise Studio and Swim Club, adding appeal to the community’s wellness offerings. Indirect lighting and contrasting colors create dimension where a lack of daylight once made the interiors feel enclosed. On the second floor the two-story formal dining room was transformed into an upscale destination. Concerns with acoustics and glare were addressed by introducing laser-cut wood partitions and lush full-height drapery.

Throughout the interiors layered textures and patterns create visual interest and a sophisticated yet comfortable ambiance. Essential layout changes made the interiors easier to navigate and encourage residents to explore and enjoy diverse social experiences.

- Exterior Relationships

In the heart of California wine country, the elegant residences of The Watermark at Napa Valley defy the conventional notions of senior living. The newly constructed 3-story building offers 173 residences in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

The contemporary agrarian architecture takes inspiration from and compliments the surrounding Napa Valley, with emphasis on indoor-outdoor living spaces, lush gardens, and scenic courtyards. The relationships between inside and outside guided the space planning for the 195,000 square foot facility, with interior amenities flowing seamlessly to the outdoors.

The design embraces the active California lifestyle,

with on-site amenities like a pickleball court, putting green, and yoga deck, in addition to the indoor fitness center and full-service spa.

The community also celebrates a variety of exquisite dining and social experiences; among them, of course, a wine bar. Dining venues feature a modern farmhouse aesthetic with custom banquettes creating comfortable nooks for conversation. Nearby, the heated courtyard supports al fresco dining throughout the year.

When The Watermark at Napa Valley received the 2021 Golden Nugget Grand Award, judges described the project as a “beautiful example of what senior communities should strive to be.”

DesignPoint worked with Scully Company and Serfass Construction to develop new multi-family housing in the Lehigh Valley. Terrain on the Parkway offers 160 apartments, ranging from studio, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. The apartment complex is located less than five minutes from downtown Allentown and presents a scenic retreat with quick access to all the action.

Spacious apartments showcase designer kitchens and light-filled open layouts. Apartment interiors are neutral and bright – a clean backdrop for residents to introduce their own personal touches. DesignPoint styled the model room as a tasteful example of an apartment brought to life with furnishings and décor.

Terrain is a place young professionals and families are happy to call home. Amenities on site include a fitness center and yoga studio, a community kitchen and game lounge, dog wash, bike storage, and more.

Eye-catching design statements in materials, lighting, and furnishing enhance the appeal.

The building interiors exhibit a contemporary aesthetic that exceeds market competition. This remarkable style helped sell the apartments to capacity before the project was entirely completed. Terrain now represents a new standard for housing in the Lehigh Valley area. .

The Hampton Inn by Hilton New Paltz is a beautiful hotel in the heart of New Paltz, New York. The quaint town is a trending cultural scene for food, wine, music, and art within the serene Catskill Mountain region. The 90-room hotel offers a relaxing and reliable experience for visitors to New Paltz.

The main lobby and lounge areas showcase a unique artistic flair with bold colors and vibrant patterns. Inside the guest rooms, those bold colors appear as smaller accents within a calming neutral palette and subdued patterns.

The design of the Hampton Inn by Hilton New Paltz balances both function and comfort. The hotel delivers a

high-class experience with a fitness center, indoor pool, and 24-hour business center. A snack and sundries shop in the main lobby is a prominent design feature that also ensures guests have what they need to enjoy their stay.

Pride in the location is evident through the design, providing an inviting appeal to guests. A historic painting of the region adorns the mantel in the main lobby. A neon sign in the retail area reads “welcome to New Paltz.”

Designing the interiors for The Hampton Inn required adherence to the standards and design elements to uphold the consistency of class throughout Hilton properties.

The interior fit-out began with space planning the vacant shell to create the ultimate workplace within this state-of-the-art corporate center. Occupying the full 9th floor, the layout included additional area to accommodate the firm’s planned growth.

The contemporary interior style presents CAPTRUST as a progressive firm clients can trust. The interiors maintain a professional ambiance while leaving a memorable impression. Architectural elements draw you into spacious open office areas and eccentric lighting design highlights coworking space and team meeting zones. The café boasts expansive views of the downtown. CAPTRUST branding is reinforced throughout.

CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTS CAPTIVATING SHOWROOM

Corporate Environments is a leading East coast provider of interior furnishings and facility management services.

Following three decades of growth, the company had outgrown their Bethlehem office and showroom, and they looked to DesignPoint to plan and design their expanded location.

The new Corporate Environments office encompasses an open office workplace for their sales and design team along with a fresh showroom experience. The modern showroom interiors offer a refined backdrop to showcase the MillerKnoll furniture line featuring iconic designer furnishings. Visitors to the showroom are greeted by an open lounge area that immediately reflects the company’s commitment to design excellence and attention to detail.

One of the key architectural elements in this entry is a slatted wall and ceiling feature extending from the main vestibule. Emphasizing branding and a sense of unity, this casual reception provides a spatial buffer between public workstations and private meeting rooms.

The showroom is a versatile and inspiring setting, each vignette providing vision to both employees and customers alike. The design showcases the latest trends and advancements in workspace solutions while demonstrating a successful achievement of both aesthetics and functionality.
