Founded by Ashley Walsh in 2005 and based in Watford, Ash Logistics has grown from strength to strength. It all started with Ash and his van delivering Urgent Blood to hospitals for the NHS then moved quickly onto forming delivery teams and resource to help cover a national contract of dedicated load-stock movements for Virgin Megastores across the UK.
With ambitions to build his own distribution network providing service excellence, in 2006 Ash was introduced to Harrods and invited to offer logistics resource support for its high- end furniture deliveries to locations across the UK and also to Europe. By obsessively learning the trade of working to such incredibly high standards and serving the customer with excellence, this led to the successful onboarding of the luxury department store.
Soon after came a further introduction to a well-established furniture brand retailer Graham and Green which has, like the relationship with Harrods, blossomed into a long-term working partnership. Working very closely with these well-established brands undoubtedly helped Ash to develop a strong and notable reputation, and provided a huge step to fine-tuning the business with the aim to solely deliver bespoke furniture.
Ash Logistics can now boast 4 depots across the UK, serves top-flight high-end furniture clients, and in the last year alone delivered delight to over 48,000 customers.

Delivering Delight™
Ash’s laser-like focus on its highend specialism has enabled it to build an enviable reputation, with business growing at an impressive rate. Delivering Delight ™ is one of the firm’s core values.
A brand is a promise delivered. The team has built client trust by ensuring excellence throughout many long-term partnerships with exceptional brand names in furniture retail including Harrods, Ralph Lauren, Graham and Green, Cox & Cox, Atkin & Thyme, Rockett St George, Rose & Grey and Noa Home. Clients consider working with Ash Logistics as ‘part of the furniture’ which has been trademarked as their strapline.

Vital management information
Recognising the important role they play in being the last customer touchpoint with their clients’ brands, Ash is obsessive about delivering consistently high levels of personalised care with stringent quality checks ensuring minimal returns and repeat business.
Their best-in-class bespoke industry platform maximises efficiencies at every level, and provides vital management information to both them and their clients to drive profit.
Every customer is given the opportunity to provide feedback after receiving their delivery, and all comments are published, unedited, on the company’s website each quarter.
Philanthropy
As if entrepreneurial and financial success were not enough, Ash Logistics has also forayed into philanthropic pursuits, raising over £30,000 over recent years for charities such as the British Heart Foundation along with local charities Home Start and Peace Hospice Watford.
Award winning
MD Ashley Walsh decided 2022 was the year to enter business awards for the first time. He felt it was an excellent opportunity to review the business, particularly as they had surpassed their five year strategic targets in just three years! Having won the SME Hertfordshire’s Most Enterprising Business and the Best Business overall, the team were catapulted to the SME National Awards Finals where they won Most Enterprising Business and topped the judges list of over 400 finalists to be crowned Overall Winner for 2022.
Ash said: ‘Having been a guest at the 2021 SME Herts awards, my wife and I had such a great night, the energy and recognition for hard work made me realise I just wanted to have my team out together to have some fun and possibly win an award. Winning Herts Business of the Year was such great recognition but winning at Wembley was absolutely fantastic! I knew we had a great story to tell - a superb management team with great friendly crews and some of the best consultants in the business - but winning such a prestigious award at a national level is a brilliant accolade for not only the whole team, but for our valued clients too’. www.ashlogistics.co.uk
