About me And I’m not just a graphic designer; I’m a digital mercenary on a mission to create worlds and build unforgettable experiences. Let me take you on a journey through my areas of expertise, each designed to bring your visions to life. My journey is rooted in Zimbabwean heritage, and my creative spirit is fueled by the incredible artistry of black designers from the African diaspora. Their influence runs deep in my work, shaping every design I craft. Immersed in Youth Culture. As the executive producer of “The Hip-hop Show” on SYN Media, I’m deeply connected to Melbourne’s youth culture. This connection keeps me grounded in the essence of hip-hop and the grungy youth culture that adds an edge to my designs.

Ophis Brand design, Visual identity, Copywriting Project (Prompt): Develop a creative ident that successfully represents and communicates the essence of a chosen topic issue’s culture, personality, a key message with the purpose of either establishing or increasing the issue awareness or increasing awareness.
Insight: Research into a suitable topic indicated a growing concern amongst younger generations regarding vehicle carbon emissions and a zero-carbon future in a world of growing automobile prices, insight displayed that high profile events such as formula 1 increased adoption for participating brands, indicating an opportunity to promote zero carbon vehicles via high profile promotional events.
Solution: Tackling the issue of Carbon emissions in recreational vehicles, Ophis was created as a speculative showcase on the future of promotional automobile entertainment in a zerocarbon future. Creating the Ophis brand to represent the pinnacle of hydrogen powered vehicles in a carbon free alternative for formula 1 dubbed Formula H.

Fear of God
Brand design, Creative direction, Copywriting Project (Prompt): Inspired by Gucci ghost, explore the relationship between branding and art, visually displaying what happens when existing brands and art are connected through commercialism.
Insight: Taking inspiration from Trevor Andrew and his Gucci Ghost, I chose to research on how the growing consumerist culture in the modern age has the ability to take the premise of art, culture and religion and form them into sometimes an entirely new reduction of the existing product - through this research I explored how one successful product often leads to many more copies and the effect that has on the world and how we interact with both art and the brands that we love.
Solution: Choosing to reimagine the existing fear of God brand, merging it with Takashi Murakami inspired illustrations created by myself, I aimed to create an all-encompassing lifestyle/ street culture brand that represented the peak of consumerist culture - a formless amalgamation resulting from years and years of overconsumption and the lack of new ideas being presented, known as the FOG. This fog represented the idea of the publics eyes being clouded by materialism, resulting in the final ident.

Opulence Brand Design, Visual Identity Project (Prompt): Exploring the narrative of decadent society - what does this look like?
Insight: Research into decadence and grandeur allowed me to look back and focus on what originally separated differing classes - what was revealed was food and meal quality was the connector, with history proving that the richer and more affluent often set themselves apart by either how much they can eat, or more recently, food quality.
Solution: Choosing to delve further into this Opulence was an ident created to represent the peak before the beginning of a society in decline - an on the nose naming convention referring to the guests and the experience - a fine dining restaurant that offers the peak of fine dining experiences.

Culture Spring
Copywriting, Document design, Visual identity, Brand design Project (Prompt): Culture Spring is a new youth-led initiative backed by the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY). We are a group of young people from multicultural backgrounds, committed to creating change using a youth-led framework We think differently, and we want our visual identity to reflect this! After years of co-design, we are excited to launch in July 2023 with a shiny new name and services… but we need a logo and branding!
Insight: Much of CMY’s existing audience was between the ages of 16 and early 30’s, this means we needed an ident with strong, vibrant colours and a visible identity, something to set the company apart and to represent the youth that they will be supporting. To make something the youth wants to interact with, it had to feel like it was made by them and for them.
Solution: Taking visual and creative direction from places like streetwear magazines, popular culture and disruptive messages and copy, the culture spring brand is built on the back of strong visuals and bright colours to represent the unique identity of our generation. Built with a digital focus the colours shine best in places like Instagram, with suitable alternates set aside for print.
