Expo is in the midst of carrying out; its success is growing day by day, visitors from around the world flock to Milan to visit its halls and participate in the dozens of events that animate the city every day. Even DesignCircus wanted to make a contribution with a themed event: Design for Food, inserted in the calendar of “Expo in Città”. On 27th and 28th June, the wonderful spaces of Palazzo Giureconsulti (Piazza Mercanti) host the fourth flash temporary of the event dedicated to the best of Italian selfproduction. At the center of it all, this time, we find the table and the kitchen. Designers and small producers - coordinated by the creative Stefano Epis and the PR Laura Alberti - tell the public their ideas and their interpretation of objects related to food: dishes, glasses, cups, trays, but also tables, dining chairs,
Again, in addition to paper version, thanks to the collaboration with PixelBook (expert company in the creation of applications for tablets and smartphones), DesignCircus realizes and presents the App, available for free on AppStore and Google Play, where you can download the browsable catalogue in Italian and English.
centerpieces and everything that makes kitchen and table the queens of the house. Objects and exclusive creations to admire, to touch, to buy for yourselves, for your home, for the loved ones. To support Design for Food there’re Porcelanosa - that, with the Porcelanosa Design Hub, sustains DesignCircus since last April - and Ventuno, which presents to the press its innovative project of food experience. Again, DesignCircus goal is the realization of a unique event, which give the right space to all those designers who make a new creative frontier of self-production. A goal also pursued online. In addition to the original catalogue/notebook made in conjunction with our consolidated partner Arbos, DesignCircus has created an App that gives all designers more visibility on the global market. DesignCircus, which again won the support of the Municipality of Milan, will present the next 11th and 12th October “Green Design”, the second event in calendar dedicated to Expo 2015. Then, it will continue the commitment of DesignCircus in favor of Panda Onlus and its plans in support of mothers and children.

For Miky Design - Milanese artist who has exhibited at the Venice Biennaleand has partnered with companies such as Adidas, Citroen and Toshiba - Art Communication is an alternative to classic advertising. For this reason Aldo Cami, administrator and deus ex machina of TILESKIN® (www.tileskin.com), has chosen him for the role of art director and designer of his company. So, Miky has spawned Pop Series, a line of 12 tiles with pop colours thought for a young and trendy public. The grandma’s old tiles meet the mosaic and the colours of urban graffiti, for a modern interpretation of the cement-glass tile. “Everything that is produced and not consumed, in the end contains a second poetic chance” said Marcel Duchamp. Alessia Bongiovanni, born in Cremona in 1970, took up this motto that is a philosophy of life. After studying at the school of violin, section furniture, she specializes in Milan in the field of commercial art and, working as an interior designer for seven years. Today, with her brand questolhofattoio, she realizes “serving items and objects that do not serve” in wood, glass and iron. “Ideas are like rabbits: you get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen”. Alessia has ideas and translates into work by the dozen. bongiovanni.ale@gmail.com > +39 333.8555741 Via Mazzini 6 RIVAROLO MANTOVANO (MN)

PAOLO MEZZADRI des ign fo
After years spent in the world of iron, immersed in increasingly innovative and high-performance technologies, Paolo Mezzadri abandons speed for a more delicate slowness. He leaves behind the idea of iron as cold and useful piece, in approaching a dimension made of evidence, mistakes, losses and draws. With Metallifilati he realizes in the traditional way, with hands, hammer, welding and paints, unique pieces, characterized by the harshness that only the manual skill can give. At Design for Food, he presents several items including Spaccone, nougat scoop in stainless steel, and Cuori, a romantic tray which seems to say that the heart always serves to create and share projects. The collection “Porta via con te la mia città” includes practical shoppers in raw iron or painted in white, designed to bring home the typical products of major Italian cities. info@metallifilati.com >+39 392.7077766
