Packaging Project: The aim of this project was to learn the design skills needed to create a 3D box packaging for a series of tea. This series is designed for the famous ‘Wissotzky’ brand. Design and Outcome: Soft sans-serif fonts and pastel colors give a feeling of calm - the purpose of the tea, as is evident by the names of each flavor. The illustrations, as opposed to real images, help to create a more ‘surreal experience’.

Packaging Featured here are the backs of each series and the individual tea sachets the contents of each box.

Book Covers Project: ‘Stargazing’ - a new book aimed at teenagers that tells a story of emotional, complex characters and how they overcome difficult family dynamics. Design and Outcome: Elements of brightness and darkness are reminiscent of the hope that the young girl clings to throughout her challenges. The teddy, being a central theme in the book, was vital to incorporate too.

Advertising Project: The aim of this project was to create an advertising campaign for a public service - deforestation. After researching the topic in great depth, we had to create a series of advertising posters, relaying an underlying message with accompanying slogans. Design and Outcome: Creating a series involved tremendous planning and thought. This series depicts the fate of monkeys, as they are an especially beloved animal to the human race. In addition, the reference to the terrible damage of human homelessness evokes pity and understanding to the dangers and deadly toll of deforestation. Making this comparison highlights the grave situation endangered species are in, and aims to encourage donations.

Design and Outcome: I created three logos but went with the simplest design so that it wouldn’t interfere with background graphics. It was challenging to create appealing designs whilst ensuring that the typesetting was clear. Strong colors and exciting images draw attention.

Corporate Identity Project: A new identity for a start-up massage business founded by ‘Yocheved Morrison.’ Extensive research of the company, creating a logo and an accompanying stationery set was the aim of the project. Design and Outcome: Sample logos: co-ordinated soft colors and delicate feminine graphics create a personal and pampered atmosphere. In addition, the initials Y.M are embedded into some of the logos to give the branding a unique element.

This is the logo that the client chose for her new firm. The clean stark font, delicate graphics and her initials are the perfect combination for a massage therapist.

Typography Project: Creating a poster to advertise an upcoming Art exhibition, celebrating Paul Rand’s work. The project also included an in-depth study of typography. Poster Version 1

Design and Outcome: Rand’s choice of typography is simple and sans-serif. His work often incorporates his own script handwriting. He uses mainly solid bright colors and simple amateur illustrations. Hence the poster is a reflection of these elements.

Stationery

Project: Experimenting with patterns and different color palettes. The stationery set for teenagers uses an analogous color palette. It includes a file, A5 notebook, mouse-mat, wrapping paper and a pencil case.

Design and Outcome: The design is pretty and colorful. Its conservative pattern will work with a wide variety of teenagers. It’s intended to be used for girls aged 11-14; beyond this age the choice of colors may be viewed as childish.

Patterns using Monochromatic and Complementary color palettes.

Branding Project: Designing a branding for a restaurant including a new logo, menu design, signage and branding products.

Design and Outcome: Sushiana is a Kosher boutique restaurant in Highland Park, New Jersey. It aims to cater to an upscale market and is proud to offer an outstanding variety of Japanese cuisine. The colors, symbols, font choices and illustrations used are all based on Japanese cuisine and culture.

Branding

Here is the tri-fold menu design for Sushiana. The illustrations are hand-drawn and then edited in Ps. A selection of the research material used is displayed. The colors, fonts and symbols are aimed to give Sushiana’s guests ‘a real taste of Japan.’

Brochure Design

Project: A brochure for a reputable travel company geared to investors and professionals. Eddie’s Kosher Travel - a well-known company - offers Kosher cruises, tours and hotel vacations.

Design and Outcome: Deep, rich colors and clean graphics give a sophisticated impression of the company. There is a lot of ‘blue’ throughout; reminiscent of the ocean and traveling. Font choices are readable and elegant and the imagery is original and exciting.

creamery Your favourite ice cream flavour could say more about your personality than you think.

Bring us to you! The Vanilla Creamery Ice Cream Truck has proudly served Orangetown and Clarkstown New York Since the Summer of 2010! While Vanilla Creamery may be new to your neighborhood we hope to bring Sweet Memories and Joy to you and your family for so many more years to come!

We have a theory: your favorite ice cream selection will tell us more about you than you can imagine. While there are “studies” out on ice cream personalities, we thought about what the elements of the actual flavors mean for you as a person. For instance, strawberry is an extremely sweet flavor but also is a non-threatening color. It isn’t overpowering, but a distinctly recognizable taste. We figured that if you gravitate towards that, you must be very similar: extremely sweet, easy going and uniquely you!

Trust us on this one!

Admittedly our method isn’t a scientific one, but we’d bet we are on the money with most of these. Whether you are sharing an ice cream cone on your first date or curling up on the couch with a freshly scooped bowl, think twice about your ice cream choices. After all, you could be sending the wrong message about yourself.

Unlimited supply of every topping in the store with your purchase of $5 or more worth or ice cream!
