We talk about design a lot, and when it comes to kitchens, design becomes an even bigger conversation. It begins with the design of each component:

At first, we discuss the function & the form to make sure your Neptune Kitchen fits your lifestyle and needs. The next step in the designing process is our in-depth interior design part where we create the style and mood to achieve a coherent look for your home.

We start to explore composition. How to bring together all the elements in a way that suits your space and your needs. It’s about designing an entire room for You & Your family. Our aim is to help you create the mood you wish, get the ingredients right, make sure there is the right flow, room to prepare a meal, and space to dine, drink, and dance.

Initial Kitchen Consultation

The first stage of our design process is a get-together with our design team in our showroom in Kimmage Neptune by Global Village Showroom. At that meeting we will go through your full project brief, all your wants and wishes. This is a complimentary service and takes about 90 minutes. You can book it over the phone, via email, or by dropping it in-store.

Our first steps

After contacting our team, you will receive our introductory email to explain and prepare you for our first meeting.

We will then invite you to meet the design team in-store or virtually, for our complimentary consultation which will take approx. 90 minutes to discuss your wish list and project brief. At this meeting, we will guide you through the Neptune kitchen range you like most and explain its features, benefits, and materials. At the same time, we will be asking you all the necessary questions about your dream kitchen and the function you wish to achieve.

If you decide to move to the next stage, we will ask you for a €500 design fee which will enable us to present you with an estimated value and the concept design around 2 weeks after the consultation. This follow-up meeting requires our team to gather together and draw up your space. This way you will have a clear picture of how your ideas may convert into reality. This meeting may take approx. 90 minutes.

Our full design service

After your first design consultation, if you decide that you’d like to proceed, you’ll experience our in-depth and expert full design service. This is the part where rough ideas and outlines become your fully-formed vision and where your kitchen really starts to come to life (keep scrolling to find out more about what’s included).

There’s a €2500 design commitment fee required at this stage, this commitment is deducted from the full price of your Neptune kitchen. It’s also good to know that, when you are ready to place your order, we’ll only ask for a 30% deposit, with the rest due 21 days before we fit your kitchen.

A home visit

Your designer along with our installation manager will come to your home and do all of the precise measuring up for you. It takes the pressure of providing accurate dimensions off you and puts it on us to get right.

Tailor-made design

Everyone’s vision and version of a ‘perfect home’ are different, each person’s style, likes, and dislikes are different, and that's great, as no one is alike, being you is perfection in its form. With our design service, your designer will guide you through the whole process until we get to what perfection means to you.

Presentation of plans and visuals

You don’t simply get to see an A3 plan of your kitchen, but elevations and 3D views too with renders. It makes it so much easier for you to feel confident that you’re making all the right choices.

A full project quotation

So that you can easily see exactly what costs what and where you might want to make any changes before we move to the stage when we officially place your order.

Interior Design Service

When we have the form & the function approved by you, we move to the fun part where we discuss in-depth colours, materials, and finishes. In this part of your project, we create the mood.

We want to look after you and your kitchen from the word go to the very end when it’s all settled in your home. All of our fitters are trained at our Wiltshire academy, so they know all there is to know about installing a Neptune kitchen. And lastly, you’ll get our lifetime guarantee so we can carry on taking care of you for years and years to come.

Full kitchen design service & installation guide with

Neptune by Global Village

1. Initial design consultation – this is a complimentary meeting arranged in our Kimmage store.

2. Concept presentation – this meeting is subject to a €500 design fee. You will be presented with your new kitchen layout, quotation, and a 3D presentation on the screen. We will provide you with a printed plan and quotation.

If you decide to proceed with our full design service, a €2500 commitment fee is required at this stage.

3. Technical Survey of your home - once this is ready to take measurements. Alternatively, we will work with your architects’ plans until the space is ready.

4. Design Presentation – presentation of the kitchen layout. You will receive a full printed pack of drawings. A set of additional changes are included, in case of significant changes. Any further changes will be charged at €90 per hour.

5. Interior Design Service – presentation of finishes, colour scheme, flooring, furniture and accessories illustrated through mood boards and sample boards.

6. Celebration Meeting – design sign-off in store with over a coffee or maybe some bubbles. This meeting is a final confirmation of the layout including M&E requirements, all finishes, and the final kitchen quotation to be signed off at this meeting. (no changes to the design after this point).

A 30% deposit is required at this stage. (The balance will be requested 21 days in advance of the installation). Any further changes will incur additional charges and will cause delays in your project. (At this stage your order is secured for 12 months)

7. Project M&E – approximately 2 weeks after your project is confirmed with Neptune, we will issue the M&E drawings for your, builder or any relevant trade attention. Any technical questions will be discussed directly with your installation team.

8. Pre-delivery site visit – this visit is to ensure your home is ready for the installation, this site visit is arranged between 6 weeks in advance of delivery. Any changes to dispatch after this point will be subject to additional charges. (this may be for example storage fees). We will also contact you a week ahead of delivery to seek proof that the site is fully ready for kitchen delivery and installation. (please read the “Preparing for your Neptune kitchen installation” document)

Any additional site visits will be charged €110 in the Dublin area, outside of Dublin, a site visit is subject to additional charges depending on location.

9. Kitchen Installation – your installation team will fit your kitchen and return after the stone worktop has been fitted, around 2-3 weeks later to finalize project installation and to paint your kitchen with Neptune’s signature coat of paint. “Your Installation Journey” document explains each stage in detail.

Please note that installation charges are subject to direct agreement and finalization between the installers and the client. We will provide you with estimated costs in advance of the team site visit for budgeting purposes. Additional charges may apply during installation if cabinets have to be altered due to unforeseen site conditions: for example, uneven floor surfaces.

10. Kitchen Installation Sign-Off – your installation team will return after 6-8 weeks for the final adjustments. This final inspection is to ensure all cabinets have adjusted to your lifestyle, or if small touch-ups are required.

11. Lifetime Guarantee – presented to you in your home once your kitchen is fully installed and all remedial works and snags have been finalized and approved by you.

Note: Design & Commitment fees to the value of €3000 are non-refundable, but will be credited to the final price agreed at approval sign-off. We will require a 30% deposit, (which will include your fees) before we order and secure your cabinetry and continue with the process. The balance of 70% will be requested 21 days in advance of the kitchen delivery. To let you know.

A kitchen project with our team & Neptune supplying products, usually takes 4-6 months, from the day we meet to discuss your brief to the installation. Generally, all design and layout decisions take place in the first 6-8 weeks after which the order will need to be placed with Neptune (it may take between 8-12 weeks for cabinets to be shipped to Ireland). Once order is committed, Neptune guarantees the price for 12 months without an increase
