Good Morning Brook,

I looked into the property located at 16845 VARCO RD, BEND, OR 97703. Here is what I found:

This property does have a water right permit Permit: G 12395 * for primary irrigaTon on 4.5 acres, and a priority date of 6/3/1992. AVached are the well reports for the well on the property and that is the authorized source for irrigaTng the 4.5 acres. DESC 4013 is the well report for the original construcTon of the well in 1989 and DESC 1102 is the report for when the well was deepened in 1991.

***Please note, a water right permit is an iniTal, temporary authorizaTon to develop the water system to be used for irrigaTon and begin using water. A water right cerTficate is the final, permanent document issued a[er the water system is fully developed and the water use has been "proved up" by a cerTfied water rights examiner. A cerTficate is issued following the review of a Claims of Beneficial Use and the Department determining that the water use authorized under a permit has been completed under the terms and condiTons of the permit***

I noTced permit G-12395 submiVed a Claim of Beneficial Use in July of 2000, so I was surprised to see there was never a cerTficate issued for the permit. I spoke with the OWRD CerTficates SecTon to see if there were any issues with the permit G-12395 and asked why a cerTficate had never been issued. The issue with the permit, and the reason a cerTficate was never issued is because there was never a pump test submiVed to the department, which is a requirement to issue the cerTficate. Once a valid pump test is received, a cerTficate can be issued.

Here is a link to the department website for resources to help guide the landowner to submit a pump test and get the water right cerTficated: Oregon Water Resources Department : Pump Test Program : Groundwater : State of Oregon

Let me know if you have any quesTons!

Good Morning,

Does the attached property have a well water right? I am not finding a well log and there is well with a pump house on the property line.

Sun Mountain Water supplies the domestic water to the home, so we are thinking the well is used for the irrigation, but the Seller’s family member has been living at the property and answers are unclear. Than you for the help.
