Beyoncé (41) has set the record for the most Grammys ever! The U.S. singer accepted her 32nd trophy at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The superstar won the 65th Grammy Awards in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category with her record “Renaissance,” overtaking in Grammy history the already deceased British-Hungarian conductor Georg Solti with 31 awards. At this year’s awards, the 41-year-old was nominated nine times and already accepted four awards.

Beyoncé: “I try not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just embrace this night.”

She continued, “I want to thank my parents, my father and my mother, who have loved me and nurtured me,” she added. “I thank my wonderful husband and my three wonderful children who are home watching.”

Beyoncé is one of the world’s most successful musicians - and richestwith millions of records sold and seven studio albums reaching number one on the U.S. charts. She has already set several records in the charts. She released her seventh studio album, “Renaissance,” in the summer after a six-year break.

At the music awards ceremony on Sunday in Los Angeles, Beyoncé’s single “Break My Soul” was nominated in the two main categories “Best Song” and “Best Recording” of the year, among others, as well as in several other categories.

German Kim Petras wins Grammy with Sam Smith.

Cologne-born singer Kim Petras and British singer Sam Smith have won awards at this year’s Grammys for their club hit “Unholy.” They won the trophy for the best pop duo at the awards on Sunday night (local time). This makes the German the first trans person in the history of the Grammys are to be awarded in this category.

Viola Davis achieves “EGOT” status.

Hollywood star Viola Davis (57) has been honored with a Grammy for the audiobook of her autobiography “Finding Me,” achieving the so-called “EGOT” status. “EGOT” award winners are artists who have won all four major trophies in the U.S. entertainment industry: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.
