January Property sales were 31, up 29.2% from 24 in January of 2015 and the same as the 31 sales last month. January 2016 sales were at their highest level compared to January of 2015 and 2014. January YTD sales of 31 are running 29.2% ahead of last year’s year-to-date sales of 24.
Total Inventory & Month’s Supply of Inventory (MSI) Inventory & MSI
The Total Inventory of Properties available for sale as of January was 445, up 14.7% from 388 last month and down 0.9% from 449 in January of last year. January 2016 Inventory was at a mid level compared with January of 2015 and 2014. A comparatively lower MSI is more beneficial for sellers while a higher MSI is better for buyers. The January 2016 MSI of 14.4 months was at a mid level compared with January of 2015 and 2014.
