Welcome, 2016! Change is never easy and for the first time in 17 years I have made a move. To me, making a move has to involve several key aspects: 1. Does the move make sense for my clients? 2. Does the move make sense for me? After doing my homework I answered “Yes” to both. As a bank our rates and fees are much cheaper than your traditional mortgage company. Also, having the backing of a bank allows me the ability to use their in-house bank products for those scenarios not exactly fitting the traditional lending box. As for me, the move to KS State Bank makes great sense. The ability to grow within the banking environment and to also offer mortgage financing across the U.S. with low mortgage rates is a win for all.

2016 has arrived and it’s been another year that went by in a blur. The Orange Tree area had an almost identical appreciation in 2015 as it did in 2014. For 2015 our homes appreciated 3.1 % compared to 2014 rise of 3.7%. The top spot in the valley was Glendale at 8.5%, followed by Phoenix 6.4%, Paradise Valley 2.4%, Scottsdale 1.3%, and Fountain Hills 0.4%. As recently as August, Paradise Valley was at the top of the table at 9.3% but the recent plunge in high end luxury sales activity has knocked our appreciation down significantly. For 2016 I look for a modest rise of 5.5%. Interest rates are on the rise, but I doubt the Fed will raise them more than once between now and the November presidential Sports Predictions 2016 election. Seven of my 9 1.
