Did you know…? The Lesser Long Nosed Bat – nicknamed Leptos – is due to come off the endangered species list this year. Volunteers in Arizona partnered with scientists to observe and record their habitat and migration habits. They flutter like hummingbirds over saguaro at night for the nectar. Tequila makers now source “bat friendly” agave to protect the Leptos feeding habits.
