25 Easy Ways to Be Kind
Doing a good deed for others is awesome … and did you know performing acts of kindness can also boost self-esteem and improve your mood? Here are some simple ways to spread happiness. As the Dalai Lama says, “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”
1. Send your mother or father flowers to thank them for all they did raising you.
2. Let someone out ahead of you in traffic.
3. Leave a big tip for your server at a restaurant.
4. Like someone’s posts or photos on social media.
5. Pay for someone’s toll behind you on the highway.
6. Surprise your kids with an impromptu trip to the movie theater, with popcorn, drinks, and candy.
7. Leave a small thank-you gift or note in the mailbox or by the front door for the mail deliverer.
8. Do the laundry for your significant other and fold and put it away for him or her.
9. Write someone a love letter … a spouse, a partner, your mother or father, or even a grandparent. They will save it forever.
10. Tell a friend how pretty she is.
11. Bring in your neighbor’s trashcan without them asking.
12. Let someone go ahead of you on line at the store.
13. Pop a sweet note in your child’s lunch box.
Asian Seitan Stir Fry
INGREDIENTS
¼ cup yellow onion strips ¼ cup sherry wine

¼ cup red bell pepper strips 1 tsp cornstarch
14. Pay for the car behind you at the drive-thru. We bet they pay it forward and treat for the next in line.
15. Hold a door open for a stranger.
16. Leave donuts outside your neighbor’s door on a Sunday morning.
17. Email one of your children’s teachers or principal and tell them what a great job they are doing.
18. Compliment someone on his or her outfit or new haircut.
19. Make a meal for a friend who’s going through a hard time and drop it off with a note of encouragement.


20. Give the counter worker at the coffee shop or pick-up window a big tip.
21. Send in extra tissues, pencils, or Clorox wipes to your child’s teacher.
22. Offer up your seat to a stranger on the bus or train.
23. Smile at 10 people in a day. We bet they smile back.
24. Wake up a family member with breakfast in bed for no reason at all.
25. Finally, treat yourself to something special—a massage, a manicure, or a milkshake. You deserve it!
¼ cup halved snow peas 1 pkg (8 ounces) traditional seitan strips
1 tbsp diced garlic 2 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp minced ginger 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 diced Serrano chile 2 tbsp soy sauce
¼ cup sherry wine ¼ cup water
Directions
Mix onion, bell pepper, snow peas, garlic, ginger, and Serrano chile in a bowl. Mix sherry wine and cornstarch in a bowl. Add seitan strips and let marinate for 10 minutes. Heat medium pan on high. Add canola oil and toasted sesame seed oil, and heat until oil slightly smokes. Add vegetables to pan. Stir for 3-5 minutes, avoiding scorching. Add seitan, sherry mix, soy sauce, and water.
Stir until sauce thickens and coats all vegetables. Serve hot with rice or noodles. ENJOY!

June 2023
The Housing Market in the southeast Valley is still active. However, some cities such as Scottsdale & Mesa are continuing to see a higher number of listings than the other cities. All cities are less than 50 days on market except for San Tan Valley. All in all, we are still having significantly low inventories overall and the demand remains high.
