PERFORMANCE

Special Program by the Entire Desert Chorale

Thomas F. McGuire, M.D. was a longtime supporter and patron of the Desert Chorale along with his partner David Ellwanger. Tom was a radiologist by profession and an avid artist, creating beautiful paintings. He also served his country as a commissioned officer in the United States Army. While accompanying the Chorale on our tour of Texas and Oklahoma. It was there, seeing the warmth and joy that our artists created everywhere they performed, that Tom decided he would join our Encore Society. We are deeply grateful for Tom’s generous bequest of over $800,000, half of which has been distributed to date. This gift represents the largest contribution the Desert Chorale has ever received, and is already helping to ensure our current and future sustainability through our Endowment Fund.

IN MEMORIAM

Rev. Betsy Bueschel

The Santa Fe Desert Chorale mourns the passing of Betsy Bueschel, 2019 Angel Award recipient and wife of Director Emeriti and past Board President Dave Bueschel. Betsy was key to the founding of our Hearts in Harmony program at Pete’s Place and was a beloved member of the Desert Chorale family. We offer our deepest sympathies to Dave and the entire Bueschel family. Betsy will be dearly missed.
