Nos sentimos orgullosos de Monalisa, esta hermosa empresa que hemos creado, integrada por tanta gente que nos acompaña. Sentimos la satisfacción de haber contribuido al progreso, al trabajo y al bienestar de tantas personas. Pero nuestro legado familiar va más allá de la empresa; es un concepto más amplio, con un enorme patrimonio emocional que incluye valores y “formas” de hacer las cosas que diferencian e identifican a una familia. Toda la vida, junto con mis hermanos, luchamos por crear ese legado: una forma especial de hacer las cosas. Hemos trabajado para que nuestros hijos e hijas, nuestras nuevas generaciones estén asentadas sobre valores que no cambian, sobre educación, preservación de la cultura, lealtad, honestidad y respeto. Estoy convencido de que hemos sido exitosos y de que nuestros jóvenes agregarán valor e historia a los siguientes 50 años tanto de nuestra empresa como de nuestra familia. We are proud of Monalisa, this beautiful company that we have created, made up of so many people who accompany us. We are proud to have contributed to the progress of this region, to the work and well-being of so many people. But our family legacy goes beyond the company, it is a broader concept, with an enormous emotional heritage that includes values and "ways" of doing things that differentiate and identify a family. All our lives, together with my brothers, we have struggled to create that legacy: a special way of doing things. We have worked so that our sons and daughters, our new generations, are based on values that do not change, on education, preservation of culture, loyalty, honesty and respect. Monalisa creció con esfuerzo, dedicación y la ayuda de nuestros colaboradores. Todos somos la gran Familia Monalisa. En el inicio, hasta tuvimos que hacer un pozo para tener agua. Yo trabajaba y vivía en la tienda. Abríamos de 7 am a 3 am, hora en que cerraba el casino. El movimiento en CDE era nocturno; hacía calor y los turistas preferían venir de noche. Cuando llovía, la gente no llegaba por las condiciones de las rutas. Contratábamos tractores para abrir camino y poder transitar las calles. Mi hermano mayor, Faisal, iba a Cataratas a invitar a los turistas a conocer Paraguay y Monalisa. Invitaba a choferes de los buses de turistas para que llegaran a la tienda a degustar whisky, y en las noches hacíamos asado en la calle para los clientes. Esto se comentaba muchísimo, y todos volvían y traían más gente. Pusimos carteles en Brasil invitando a la gente a visitarnos y de a poco Monalisa se hizo cada vez más conocida. Desde el inicio, decidimos vender solo productos de marcas premium, a buen precio. Hoy seguimos invirtiendo y creando fuentes de trabajo. Es nuestro compromiso con Paraguay. Tuvimos la suerte de elegir la tierra guaraní para vivir y trabajar, y le debemos un retorno. Además, lo más importante del mundo para mí, mi esposa, la conocí en Paraguay.
Monalisa grew with effort, dedication and the help of its collaborators. We are all one big Monalisa Family. In the beginning we even had to dig a well to have water. The store opened from 7 to 3am, the casino's closing time. I worked and lived in the store. Due to the heat, the tourists chose to come at night. My brother Faisal used to go to Cataratas to invite tourists to visit Paraguay and Monalisa. He invited tourist bus drivers to the store to taste whisky, and in the evenings, we would barbecue on the street for customers. Everybody spoke about this and everyone came back and brought more people. We put up posters in Brazil, inviting tourists and Monalisa became very well known. From the beginning, we decided to sell only premium brand products. Today we continue investing and creating jobs. It is our commitment to Paraguay. We were lucky to choose the Guarani land to live and work and we owe it a return. I met the most important person in the world for me, my wife, in Paraguay.

Quienes conformamos la 2da generación familiar de los fundadores, tomamos la posta de continuar administrando esta prestigiosa empresa de relevancia nacional e internacional. Es una gran responsabilidad mantener en alto lo logrado en 50 años y la relación con las marcas internacionales que con mucho orgullo representamos desde hace décadas. Clientes y proveedores se han convertido en grandes amigos de la empresa y la familia. También honramos el apoyo incondicional de nuestros leales colaboradores que merecen un capítulo especial en la historia de Monalisa. Hoy estamos actualizándonos con un modelo administrativo que asegura el crecimiento y la continuidad en el tiempo. As the 2nd family generation of the founders, we have taken the post of managing the company. It is a great responsibility to uphold the achievements of 50 years and the relationship with the brands that we so proudly represent. Clients and suppliers have become great friends of the company and the family. We honor the support of our collaborators who deserve a especial chapter in our history. Today we are updating our company to ensure growth and continuity. For 5 decades Monalisa has collaborated with the development of CDE and the country, investing and creating jobs. We shall continue to do so guided by the values of our family.

Soy el cónsul honorario de Eslovaquia en Asunción, Miembro del Consejo de Directores de Monalisa y responsable por el Departamento de Seguridad y de Relaciones Institucionales. Nos enorgullece que Monalisa haya difundido en el mundo la imagen de un Paraguay maravilloso y que haya contribuido con el desarrollo de Ciudad del Este y con la introducción de prestigiosas marcas internacionales en Paraguay. Nuestra empresa ha sido parte activa en el establecimiento en Alto Paraná del Centro Cultural Paraguayo Americano, la Cámara de Comercio Paraguayo Americana, el Centro de Importadores de Alto Paraná y del Colegio Francés Jules Verne. Me enorgullece saber que Monalisa ha posibilitado el crecimiento personal y profesional de mucha gente. I am the Honorary Consul of Slovakia in Asunción, Member of the Board of Directors of Monalisa and responsible for the Department of Security and Institutional Relations of the company. We are proud that Monalisa has promoted the image of a wonderful Paraguay throughout the world and that we have contributed in the development of Ciudad del Este and the introduction of prestigious international brands in Paraguay. Our company has been part of the establishment in Alto Paraná of the Paraguayan American Cultural Center, the Paraguayan American Chamber of Commerce, the Center of Importers in Alto Paraná and the Jules Verne French School. I take pride in the fact that Monalisa has enabled the personal and professional growth of so many people.

Desde pequeños, nuestra historia familiar siempre se destacó por el trabajo y el arduo esfuerzo. Con esa formación, como inmigrantes provenientes de una familia humilde, aprendimos que el trabajo diario honesto y tesonero resulta ser el único camino válido que conduce a la formación personal y al crecimiento económicoempresarial. Aprendimos que los obstáculos son oportunidades para salir adelante, y con estos principios logramos desarrollar y expandir una pequeña tienda comercial a una famosa empresa, reconocida nacional e internacionalmente. Los 50 años de Monalisa son fruto de esta filosofía de vida adoptada por varias generaciones. A título personal y familiar, es un orgullo haber colaborado con nuestro granito de arena en el desarrollo comercial de CDE. Nuestra historia es un “cuento de amor” y ¡Monalisa es su fruto! Our history has been marked by work. From an early age, our Family guided us towards honest work and education. We learned that the way to achieve our goals was through work. As immigrants from a humble family, we were taught that poverty is not an obstacle or a shame, but rather a motivation to work harder to get ahead. We were faithful to the teachings of our parents and we built Monalisa with work marked by loyalty, tolerance, love, union and courage. Monalisa's 50 years are the result of this philosophy followed by several generations that dedicate their efforts 365 days a year. Agradezco haber sido el primero entre mis queridos hermanos en llegar a Brasil y catalizar la venida de ellos a este bendecido país. Juntos vivimos muchas vidas en una sola, trabajando arduamente, amando siempre a la madre patria y a las patrias adoptadas donde nacieron nuestros hijos y nacerán las próximas generaciones de nuestra gran familia. In life's chain of events, there is always a beginning. A fact or a person that started the avalanche of events that followed. I am grateful to life for having been the first among my dear brothers to arrive in Brazil and to catalyze their coming to this blessed country. Together we have lived many lives in one life, working hard, loving our Motherland and the adopted homelands where our children were born and the next generations of our great family will be born. Nos fue preparando para el presente. Monalisa cumple 50 años. Fundada por mi padre y sus hermanos, es un ejemplo de trayectoria honorable. Celebramos este aniversario recordando nuestras raíces y sembrando nuevas semillas que florecen en este país tan amado, Paraguay. Ya realizado, con esposa y sobrinos paraguayos que me conectan con lazos eternos a esta tierra y como miembro de la nueva generación puedo afirmar que seguiremos trabajando y sumando logros como Empresa y como Familia.

GANA EN EL TORNEO ASUNCIÓN GOLF TOUR
Este evento de golf que es parte de U.S.Kids Golf en nuestro país, ofrece a niños y niñas la oportunidad de avanzar sus habilidades en el juego compitiendo con sus pares. Participaron 60 niños de varias categorías en 6 torneos diferentes que se desarrollaron en el Asunción Golf Club y el Club Centenario. Aurora Hammoud obtuvo el primer puesto en su categoría. This golf tournament is part of U.S.Kids Golf in Paraguay, an organization that provides boys and girls the opportunity to advance their skills in the game in age-appropriate competition. 60 children in various categories participated in 6 tournaments that took place at the Asunción Golf Club and the Centenario Club. Aurora Hammoud won the first place in her category.
GANA EL VI ABIERTO DE CATARATAS
Más de 70 golfistas de Brasil, Argentina y Paraguay dieron brillo al VI Campeonato Abierto Cataratas, realizado en Iguassu Falls Golf Club en Foz do Iguaçu. Isabella Hammond fue la gran campeona en la categoría femenina con una diferencia de 21 golpes a la subcampeona. Luego de la premiación, el patrocinador Helisul llevó a los ganadores a un paseo panorámico en helicóptero. More than 70 players from Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay brightened up the VI Cataratas Open Championship held at Iguassu Falls Golf Club in Foz do Iguaçu. Isabella Hammond was the great champion in the women's category with a difference of 21 shots to the runner-up. After the award ceremony, the sponsor Helisul took the winners on a panoramic helicopter ride.
