MUSKEGON BIKE TIME

Did y’all attend Bike Time/Rebel Road in beautiful downtown Muskegon? I did and I hope you did too! It was a little rainy Saturday, but that didn’t stop the fun. Sunday cleared up later in the day and it ended up being a beautiful afternoon. We had a great time watching the bikes and talking to people. Tons of motorcycles were tightly packed along Western Avenue. I love that there are so many beverage establishments there now with plenty of outdoor seating. Of course there were beer tents set up also and those also were packed. The music was jammin and drinks were flowing. There were more vendors than I had seen in the past and I for one am glad that everything is in and around the same area again. We ran into some old friends along the walk and made some new ones also. I am amazed at the customization and time that people take to make their bikes stand out in a crowd and some of them certainly did just that! I can’t begin to guess the amount of money that goes into all of that. I sure love looking at them though. If you haven’t cruised into Muskegon on your scooter it’s worth the trip and it doesn’t have to be during Bike Time. Lake Michigan is so pretty and there are a lot of places to eat, drink, and sight-see. I hope everyone gets a lot of riding in between now and the end of fall. I have been all over Michigan and am headed up to Mackinaw again this weekend. By the way… have y’all signed up for your Ride Cards and used them this summer? I hope so. There were a lot of great establishments signed up this year! I won a prize from The Sportsman’s bar and restaurant in Newaygo. There are a few bike events left so be sure to check out the magazines event listing page to see what’s still to come. I have been enjoying my motorcycles and I hope to see you at an event yet this season. until next time....ride on, readers!
