This March, we recognize and celebrate the contributions women have made to United States history during Women’s History Month, by featuring Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020. In 2020, Denver Urban Spectrum Publisher Rosalind “Bee” Harris was inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in honor of her life’s work of empowering others through advocacy, engagement and publishing. As a result of the COVID-19 shutdowns, the Induction Gala for the Class of 2020 was rescheduled. At long last, the gala will take place this month. Ruby Jones also interviewed Stephanie Rance, co-founder of the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, whose monumental contributions to the film industry. After reading, find the full conversation on YouTube! Also this month, we launch a series of articles on the important topic of mental health. Alfonzo Porter writes about the tragedy of increasing African American male suicide rates and Joshua Glenn reports on the Black Journalists Therapy Relief Fund.
