The people who come to us for help are often repeating a story that sounds like, “I’m not worth it,” or “I’ll be stuck in this addiction forever,” or “No one cares about my family’s struggles.” And as long as that’s the story they tell themselves, that’s all they will come to expect from their life.
But we work hard to help them change that story, to help people from all walks of life, all experiences with addiction and all levels of poverty change their internal narrative from one of insufficiency and isolation to one of value, courage, community, and hope.
