hunting information

Denton Parks and Recreation offer hunting permits for purchase. Nearly 60 percent of Clear Creek’s 3,000 acres is designated as a wildlife management area, which is where hunting is allowed.

Hunting Season begins September 1 and extends through May 31.

Hunting is prohibited at the Collins Road or Hartlee Field Road areas of Clear Creek Natural Heritage Area. Community Garden Info

Community Garden Highlights Plots are approximately 15’ x 15’ or 11’ x 13’

• Plots cleared annually to prep the next year, current plots will be cleared December 10. • Plots are currently first-come, first-served. • Prior to planting, Denton Parks and

Rec will plow and disc garden sites. • Each tenant is responsible for the soil work and addition of any soils or compost materials. • Hand watering only, no sprinklers.

Watering is allowed daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Story Time Fishing, Ages 5 & Under

Dementia Friendly Nature Walks, Ages 50+

Join Dementia Friendly Denton County as an Elm Fork Chapter Master Naturalist guides a group walk on paved trails through one of Denton’s parks to meet the needs of exercise, education and sensory stimulation.

Walk N’ Talk, Ages 50+
