Schroon church to present Lenten play Scheduled for April 21
By Fred Herbst
fred@denpubs.com SCHROON LAKE — A Schroon Lake church will present its Lenten message in a play. Schroon Lake Community Chur ch members will perform “The Ragman” on Maundy Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m. “It’s a moving, contemporary narrative of a ‘man of the cloth’ who reaches out to help others regardless of the cost to him,” explained Carole Ann Greig, chairwoman of worship at the church. In past years the churc h has had Communion, a Seder meal, and congregational scriptur e r eading. This is, we believe, the first time for the Easter message to be performed in this medium. “The goal is to make this evening available to persons beyond our congr egation,” Greig said. “The participants, however, are all from our church family.
