Caroline was accepted to attend the Washington trip, where she will explore an icecovered volcano called Mount Baker. Through the program, the girls will be paired with three instructors and spend 12 days exploring and learning through scientific field studies with professional glaciologists, ecologists, artists and mountaineers. Caroline applied for the same program last year, but was not accepted. After her 2014 application was rejected, Caroline resolved to beef up her resume and try again this year.
