Olmstedville author Carol Gregson was busy April 20 making her famous stroganoff, a dish she tells readers about in her latest memoir, “Wet Socks,” which will be officially released at an event at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at the Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls. The event will also feature former Olmstedville resident Dan Berggren, a singer/songwriter who will be releasing his newest CD, “Tongues in Trees,” at the event. Gregson’s first book was “Leaky Boots.” In “Wet Socks,” she refers to her children by numbers. She had dinner Saturday with #1 daughter and #3 son. Stories about Gregson’s new book and Berrgren’s new CD will appear in the May 4 issue of the News Enterprise.

By Andy Flynn andy@denpubs.com NORTH CREEK Ñ With the Adirondack whitewater rafting season gaining momentum and the 56th Annual Hudson River Whitewater Derby on tap for May 4-5, New York Gov. considering the town of Indian Lake as the headquarters for the Challenge, according to a tentative schedule acquired by the News Enterprise.
