The JumpinÕ in July concert series will take place at the Strand Center for the Arts, on Thursday nights from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m, which are all free to the public. Ò ItÕ s a great way for the Strand Center for the Arts to bring the community together and give back,Ó said Jessica Dulle, executive director at the Strand Center for the Arts. Ô DELTA SWINGERSÕ The concert series will begin July 10 with a performance by Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers. Ò WeÕ ve played it twice before, and itÕ s a great series,Ó

AUSABLE FORKS Ñ Family, friends and community members gathered from their homes for Tucker and Payden BurnhamÕ s vigil at AuSable Valley Central School Wednesday night. Ò ItÕ s a very close community here, and it always amazes me how supportive people are with each other here in a time of crisis,Ó said Gigi Mason, principal of AuSable Valley Elementary School who also assisted in organizing the event. Ò ItÕ s very heartwarming. Ò Hopefully, they (the family) will feel that support because they need it.Ó The night started with the lighting of the candles. Situated in a circle, the large gathering passed around the small flame from candle to candle until all were lit and all became silent. Ò There are no words to say to you tonight, but weÕ re hoping together we can help you feel that thereÕ s a great amount of love and support in the community,Ó Mason said to begin the vigil. Mason handed the mic to Father Kris Lauzon, who led the group in the hymn Ò Prayer of St. Francis,Ó a hymn, out of the
