WARRENSBURG | When you arrive at the Nettle Meadow Goat Farm on South Johnsburg Road in Warrensburg, you are greeted by a sign making two claims: Happy Goats.

Great Cheese.

While visitors will have to take the word of the farmers Sheila Flanagan and Lorraine Lambiase for how happy the goats really are, anyone can visit the farm’s shop, taste the cheese and judge for themselves.

However, the Nettle Meadow Farm and Artisan Cheese Company has again won medals in world competition, garnering three 2018 World Cheese Championship bronze medals.

The farm won third for its “Simply Sheep”

in the semi-aged sheep milk cheeses category; their “Briar Summit” won third place for mixed milk semi-aged cheeses and “Slate Ridge” received a bronze medal for mixed milk, washed-rind cheeses.

Slate Ridge is made with goat and cow’s milk, with a layer of vegetable ash that helps it resemble the local geology.

Their cheese were among the winners chosen from 3,402 entrants from 26 countries— the largest-ever field in world cheese competitions.

“There were lots of big cheese countries competing,” Flanagan said, listing France and Spain as some of the “big cheese” countries.

“Norwegian cheese can be very interesting.”

Flanagan said every region of the world has its own take on cheese production, but

The babies spent about a week at Nettle Meadow before being shipped off to another farm. cheese makers in the United States seem to have more freedom to experiment with cheese; such as using locally sourced maple syrup in their Maple Chevres cheese.

“We have a freedom of creativity that makes it kind of fun,” Flanagan said.

The result is multiple-award winning cheeses.

In 2017, Briar Summit won first place and Sappy Ewe won a second place. Nettle Meadow’s Kunik, a triple creme cheese, has also been a blue medal winner.

The Nettle Meadow Goat Farm was founded in 1990 on the site of what was historically a dairy farm.

The farm has grown to 70 acres, with over 350 goats and sheep. Lambiase said she and Flanagan are both from the east coast, and worked for the same law firm in California - Flanagan as a lawyer and Lambiase as a legal clerk.

Warrensburg chamber soliciting nominations for annual awards Deadline to nominate citizen, business is May 14

WARRENSBURG | The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce has been recognizing prominent citizens and businesses annually for nearly 40 years.

“I wish we could give out more awards, but there are only two — the citizen and business awards,” said Suzanne Tyler, executive director.

The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce is now in its 39th year of awards - some years giving either one or the other but for the past five or six years, has attempted to award both.

“It’s hard to give out because it is totally community-based, and there are so many people in the Warrensburg area who give back with their service and their time; people and businesses too, who want to make it a better town,” Tyler said.

The 2017 Citizen of the Year was Sandi Parisi, the Town of Warrensburg Historian.

Parisi was selected for being active in the community over the past 30 years, a member of Warrensburgh Beautification, Inc. and active in the Warrensburgh Historical Society and Chamber of Commerce.

Businesses are all nominated by members of the community and not the chamber.

The 2017 Business of the Year winner was Julie Gallup of J. Gallup Farms in Warrensburg.

Gallup was recognized for giving time and resources to whatever charitable resource needed it, Tyler said, even if only a plate of cookies.

Gallup was also a volunteer at the Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber hopes to award a businesses that enhances the community, providing jobs and resources, but also donates time, staff and resources to help the community.

Tyler said the chamber has already received a few nominations, and the selection process should again be difficult.

“It’s going to be a long meeting to decide. Everyone who

The more detail they give, the better for the judges. The nomination letters are given to the awards committee, which is co-chaired by Miko Galusha-Hensler of Ray’s Liquor, and Rev. Aaron Spoonhour, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg. Tyler, as executive director, does not have a vote.

“Technically, I’m the only one in town not allowed to vote,” she said.

South on the Northway: Observations on life in the Adirondacks

Oh, look at the deer

I was prepared for, and even hoping to, see deer when I arrived in the Adirondacks.

By Christopher South fairly rural area, we had seen plenty of • COLUMNIST • wildlife - raccoons, opossums, and skunks, which you could often see dead along the side of the road. The first roadkill I saw in the Adirondacks was a deer.

Deer are either one of nature’s more gentle, beautiful creatures, or a plague on modern man, depending on your experiences.

I recently talked to someone who hit a deer with their two-month-old SUV. The vehicle probably still smells strongly like a new car.

After hearing about a guy who drove off the road when several deer ran in front of him, I started asking people about deer strikes.

I had heard from more than one person in my life that it is better to hit the deer than to swerve off the road and hit a tree. “I don’t know,” someone here responded, “I have totaled three cars hitting deer.”

The point is she lived to tell about it. Trees are not as forgiving as deer.

I was driving through Minerva not too long ago, and every 100 to 150 yards we saw at least one deer, sometimes two. I told someone, “You couldn’t swing a dead cat without

hitting a deer.” The person had never heard that expression before.

I asked someone else why there were so many more deer in Minerva than any other areas I had driven through.

“Because people feed them,” was the answer.

As I interviewed a master gardener recently I mentioned that I see a lot of gardens with a four- or fivefoot fence around them, obviously to protect the garden from deer.

I mentioned that some people feed deer, intentionally. He said it is against state Department of Environmental Conservation regulations to feed deer. A neighbor told me people feeding deer really upset her because “deer carry disease.”

Technically, it’s the deer tick that carries or transmits the disease, but I get the point.

Still, there are a lot of people, like me, who are transplants here, and they like seeing an animal that is as large as a deer, grazing in the yard, looking up with its ears sticking straight out to the side like airplane wings, and then bounding away with their snow white tail sticking up in the air.

I will stop and take photos of deer, which I send to my kids. My oldest son always responds the same way.

“Food!”

There might be some deer hunting in the South family’s future. ■

QUEENSBURY | Washington County Supervisor Dana Haff (Hartford) said someone at the Lake ChamplainLake George Regional Planning Board (LCLGRPB) had forged signatures on proxy votes, crudely changing the dates on photo copies.

Haff attended the May 3 meeting of the Economic Growth & Development Committee of the Warren County Board of Supervisors to tell them of various improprieties in the operation of the board and its Economic Development Committee (EDC), which administers about $2.6 million in outstanding loans.

A “proxy” vote is when a voting member delegates his or her vote to a representative. Haff held up several copies of proxy votes to the light, saying the signatures on each page matched exactly, meaning although the original signature was valid, the others were copies.

The first proxy vote was signed by Beth Hunt, dated Dec. 14, 2017, which he said was probably proper. He said the dates were crudely changed, and the white out had been used to cover the previous fax machine dates stamp. He said this was not done for mere convenience, but because the board needed more votes to do business.

“This is all done by the same person. Why? Because they did not have a quorum. You need this for a quorum,” said Haff.

“I was told the regional planning board is a contractor to the development committee, but I think the development committee is a shell and the planning board administers everything.”

Haff called for the cancellation of a Memorandum of Agreement between the planning board and the development committee.

He also alleged the committee had illegally done business without a quorum. The EDC was established with 10 members, which means six must be present in order to make decisions.

During the meeting, LCLGRPG Director Walter Young said there were only six active members out of 10 positions on the EDC. Young said four votes represented a quorum of the appointed members.

Haff said six votes are required, and if there are six members present and one recuses himself, there is no quorum.

He said there are appointed members and ex-officio members of the EDC. He said ex-officio members cannot vote, but EDC minutes repeatedly show ex-officio members making motions and voting. Haff also referred to an ex-officio member issuing a proxy in August 2015 giving permission for Bolton Supervisor Ron Conover to attend a meeting.

Haff also said a list of appointed and ex-officio members on the LCLGRPB website are incorrectly identified.

“I think the regional planning board lets everyone vote who attends. I have a feeling at every meeting everyone votes by voice. They need to have role call voting so only voters can vote,” he said.

Young, who was present at the meeting, did not respond to Haff’s accusations. ■

QUEENSBURY | Warren County Treasurer Mike Swan told the Warren County Board of Supervisors Finance Committee last month that about $1 million of $2.8 million in federal funds loaned by the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board probably will not be collected.

Swan said he was asked to look at an audit of a revolving loan account financed with U.S. Department of Commerce and Department of Agriculture funds.

The LCLGRPG makes loans through its Economic Development Committee to businesses considered to be high risk by commercial banks.

Swan said a review of the 2016 draft audit showed $2.8 million in outstanding loans as of Dec. 31, 2016, with provisions for $480,000 written off as losses.

In addition, the audit showed $1 million, or 37 percent of the loan balance as no longer collecting interest because collection of the loan was doubtful.

“There is no way of telling if principles are being paid, but my gut tells me if they are not paying the interest they are not paying the principle as well,” Swan said.

Glens Falls Supervisor Claudia Braymer asked if there was a time frame for the loans going into default, but Swan said it was not recorded well in the audit, and he can only assume the payments lapsed over a long time frame.

“We really don’t know anything about these loans,” Swan said.

Swan recommended the committee request the LCLGRPB supply a loan aging report, which included the original loan amount, the current balance, the date of the last payment, and if the loan was in default.

Warrensburg Supervisor Kevin Geraghty asked to send a letter to the LCLGRPB requesting that information.

Swan said there is no way to pull that information out of the audit.

He said the 2015 figures were very similar to the 2016, so it appeared that the situation was ongoing.

Warren County Administrator Ryan Moore last week handed out copies of what was titled “Loan Portfolio,” but Queensbury Supervisor Douglas Beaty said it was not an aging report.

The document listed to who loans were given, the amount, outstanding balance, and date of last payment.

Beaty said the report should show the date the loan originated to indicate how the loan was aging. ■ giving (the LCLGRPB) more money.”

BOARD MULLS SUPPORT

The body’s director, Walter Young, was summoned before the Economic Growth & Development Committee to answer questions about the planning board’s practices.

Young attended a similar meeting last month in Washington County, where officials removed Putnam Supervisor John LaPointe from the LCLGRPB over an apparent conflict of interest.

Young attempted to explain to the board how loans are granted by a loan advisory committee established by the planning board.

Queensbury County Supervisor Douglas Beaty has been struggling to obtain records from the LCLGRPB. Beaty said when he verbally requested documents from Young, he was told at least five times to request documents under the state’s Freedom of Information Law. Supervisor Michael Wild asked Young why the board of supervisors should continue to support Young’s leadership of the regional planning board.

Young attempted to answer that the board had awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in economic development loans in Warren County, to which Braymer replied: “Supervisor Wild did not ask why we should support the board, he asked why we should support you?”

Beaty asked Young repeatedly about his statement that the loan advisory committee acted autonomously in awarding loans, while Young wrote a letter to the committee asking them to grant a loan.

Young also described personally changing the terms of a loan for a borrower, a right he said he had under board guidelines. He also said he and the board’s accounting firm made the determination of which borrowers would default on loans.

Beaty said some of the loan applications did not include a business plan, but Young said some of the borrowers were mom and pop operations that did not actually have a business plan.

“This application has no business plan, no jobs created, sketchy financial information, and you give a second loan without a business plan?” Beaty said. “You just agreed the financial committee does not have to follow its own requirements.”

Young said the information supplied was substantial enough to make a decision about the loan.

Loans receivable which are considered collectible and are still accruing finance charges totaled over $1.8 million as of Dec. 31, 2016.

Amounts not accruing interest because management has determined that collection of interest is doubtful totaled $1,062,030 as the end of 2016.

The LCLGRPG, formed in 1967, has 30 board members, five each from Clinton, Essex, Hamilton, Warren and Washington counties, and meets twice per year.

The board mainly deals with water quality issues, but is also involved in promoting economic development. According to a 1978 agreement, employees of the LCLGRPG are employees of Warren County. ■

Now, some 30-plus years later, the practice is plain common sense, not only for world leaders, but also for ordinary people doing everyday tasks.

There are so many scams, careless errors, and companies with selfish motives that it serves us all to be on guard, even when dealing with those we have long deemed trustworthy.

Any organization or individual that balks at providing proof of their service should become an untrusted source and anyone claiming to be above reproach has shown their true colors.

Where’s the infrastructure bill?

Inspiration often comes from unlikely places.

Like this week, when our car hit a pothole in downtown Plattsburgh and the check engine light came on.

We’ve long said infrastructure isn’t sexy.

But our crumbling roadways, bridges, waterways, seaports, sewer lines and public school buildings are facing a crisis.

According to the 2017 Infrastructure Report Card released by the American Society for Civil Engineers, America’s infrastructure is rated a D+.

The City of Plattsburgh is broke and the rest of our municipalities aren’t exactly swimming in cash.

Nationwide, the fi x is projected to cost at least $1.6 trillion above current levels, and crumbling infrastructure costs the economy nearly $200 billion annually, according to a report by U.S. Senate Democrats.

We’re not the only ones paying attention.

Residents at a town hall in Moriah last month implored Rep. Elise Stefanik to take action, citing their deteriorating surroundings.

But Congress continues to do nothing.

Stefanik held out hope last month that a federal infrastructure plan from the White House may still be possible.

“We have a president that is focused on infrastructure and likes to build things,” she shrugged.

President Donald Trump ran on infrastructure. It was one of his most-repeated campaign promises as he careened towards the White House.

To the Editor: As a lifelong resident of Long Lake, I would like to thank state Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Hamilton County Highway Department for cooperating to repair a dangerous condition on Route 30 without disrupting our lives and commerce other than adding a few extra minutes to travel from Long Lake to Tupper Lake.

Originally the Sabattis (with an “a”) Circle Road was the state highway linking Long Lake and Tupper Lake.

The telephone lines still go that way.

Children of families residing at Whitney Headquarters on Little Tupper Lake were transported to school via school bus.

At that same time, log trucks also traveled the Sabattis Road.

But 16 months into his term, “Infrastructure Week” has become a punchline in Washington, where his administration teeters from scandal to scandal and Republicans have a thin record of accomplishments despite controlling Congress and the White House: No immigration bill, no updated health care plan, no infrastructure fi x.

Trump in February called for spending $200 billion in federal money to leverage some $1.5 trillion from all levels of government and the private sector over 10 years.

The details didn’t strike us as particularly salivating, largely due to its reliance on tax credits and other unspecified incentives to private investors.

But nonetheless, it was something.

Congress, however, appeared to quickly lose its appetite. Lawmakers kicked the can down the road by raising spending on infrastructure by more than $10 billion as part of the 2018 omnibus bill, but sprinkling it throughout different funding streams.

We’ve drawn attention to this issue as recently as last summer, but it bears repeating now that construction season is again underway.

Nearly every Adirondack town is in the process of tackling large-scale water and sewer projects, but we don’t have the population base to bankroll projects through user fees and tax hikes.

And that’s to say nothing of state and federal-owned infrastructure.

While the state has been a champ at providing grant funding — including the governor’s initiative which has funded critical upgrades at Plattsburgh International Airport

The drivers of 18-wheelers are professionals and probably the safest drivers on the road.

There is no more wildlife on the Sabattis Road than on Route 30. They are probably safer due to the lower speed limit. There are no more wet lands on the Sabattis Road, compared to Route 30, so wildlife will not be impacted because of the detour. The birds will be able to mate.

My wife commuted daily for 40 years to Tupper Lake and would not have minded the inconvenience of the detour other than leaving a little earlier for work.

I realize there may be some damage to the Sabattis Road from the heavy vehicles due to frost coming out of the road. I am sure that was taken under consideration and repairs will be made. They have chosen the optimum time to complete this project before increased traffic in the summer.

The push appears to be dead in the water as lawmakers pivot to this fall’s midterm elections.

Trump said as much at a recent Ohio rally, and blamed Democrats for not working with him.

It’s political brinkmanship at its most typical: Politicians spin and the public loses.

A long-term infrastructure fi x will be costly, but Congress should find the mettle to make it happen.

Yes, Stefanik has proven to be apt at steering funds to the district in one-off packages — a cool $500,000 to the Town of Plattsburgh through the Regional Northern Border Commission comes to mind — but we think she should use her clout with House leadership to do more.

No one likes raising taxes or fees, but we can think of a half-dozen ideas now to generate revenue — including ideas mentioned

by Senate Democrats in their report, including closing tax loopholes.

Others revenue-raisers are more unpalatable, including a proposed increase in the federal gas tax, which we think North Country residents are ill-equipped to shoulder.

Infrastructure is an issue tied directly to the economic development of our region, and should be prioritized by Congress.

Doing so could be a tangible legacy that Congress and the White House, in particular, can do more than simply perpetuate their own existence at the expense of the working class people of this country.

So far as protection against intruders and other threats, you won’t find these stories in the mainstream newspapers.

A recent study found that the use, or threat of use of a gun, has been used over two million times in the last couple of years to protect oneself against assault.

Every month, the NRA magazines have verifiable reports where people have protected themselves or others with a gun. It does happen!

NEVER SAW IT COMING

On Friday evening, May 4, the television chattered on that there was a big wind coming and that everyone should batten down the hatches. Sure enough, around 9 o’clock the wind started to howl and the electricity suddenly went out with a loud pop.

Sitting there in an ominous world gone black, I heard a loud crack but it was so dark outside that I couldn’t see its cause.

But I knew without a doubt that it was not going to be anything good.

The next morning, at dawn’s early light, I prepared to go to the Richards Library — as was my usual Saturday morning ritual — to snuggle up with their micro-film machine to read what had occurred a hundred years ago round about and here in town.

Looking outside I suddenly realized that I would not be going anywhere because a huge, towering pine tree had split down the middle and had fallen across my driveway at an angle making it impossible for myself and my car to pass to the street.

I did what any mother would do. I called my son Mac Hadden in Queensbury and told him that his mother was in dire distress and needed to be saved from the jaws of old Mother Nature. Being the best son ever, he was here in record time with his father’s trusty chainsaw and for over an hour, as my cats and I watched in admiration, he hacked away at that monster tree. Free at last! Few residents of this area can forget the night of Oct. 25, 1960 when the sirens summoned firemen to North Warrensburg, where Karl Duell’s Garage was a blazing inferno. The loss was estimated at $100,000 and insurance covered about one fifth of that loss.

Warriors beat undefeated Whitehall in extra innings

LAKE GEORGE | The Lake George Warriors baseball team captured a key late-season victory in a rare Sunday game on May 6 as they handed rival Whitehall their first Adirondack League loss of the 2018 season.

The game was no cakewalk, however. Lake George’s 7-6 victory was a hard-fought battle that endured for 10 innings.

Lake George trailed 1-0 until the fifth inning when they engineered a six-run offensive onslaught — which Whitehall answered with a run that same stanza and four runs two at-bats later to send the game into extra innings.

One run in the 10th inning by Lake George senior Alex Jones — who had hit a double to get on base — gave the Warriors their winning margin.

On the mound for the Warriors was senior

Tony Abrantes to start, relieved by junior Nick Hoffis, who struck out four batters in his appearance and was credited with the win — his second for 2018.

Offensive highlights include Jones batting 4 for 6; senior Jack Kelleher batting 3 for 5 including a double and RBI; plus freshman Sean Butkowski hitting a double and 2 RBIs. Pitching for Whitehall was Evan St. Claire, who was credited for a pivotal win April 10 — shutting out Fort Ann, defending Class D state champions, in a 10-0 no-hitter.

With the victory over Whitehall, Lake George has a 10-2 win-loss league record and a 11-2 overall record.

After their showdown with Whitehall, Lake George had only two games left in its regular season — a game on their home field Monday May 7 against Granville, followed by an away game Tuesday May 8 against Saratoga Catholic. The Adirondack League tournament games are scheduled for Friday

May 11 and Monday May 14.

As of May 5, Lake George was leading Adirondack league Division I followed by Granville in second place and Warrensburg ranking third with a 6-4 league record.

Lake George had 12 hits backing up their pitcher, Jack Mellon. Highlights include senior Tony Abrantes hitting a triple, Kelleher hitting a double, 2 RBIs and a single; Clarke hitting 3 RBIs in three at-bats; Jones hitting a double and a single and Butkowski hitting a double. ■

On May 4, Lake George beat Warrensburg 7-6 after the Warriors were trailing for five innings.

Warrensburg had a six-run spree in the third inning, answered by four runs by Lake George in their ensuing at-bat. The Warriors added three more in the sixth inning and held Warrensburg scoreless in the top of the 7th to earn the victory.

LAKE GEORGE | The Lake George softball team won its own tournament May 5, clinching the title by beating Hoosick Falls 6-1 in the finals.

Pitcher Rebecca Jaeger, a junior, was in her competitive groove, striking out 11 batters in the game that extended the Warriors’ winning streak — giving them additional momentum as they head towards the Adirondack League playoffs and the Section II tournament while enjoying an 11-2 league record.

Against Hoosick Falls, Lake George had 12 hits to back up pitcher Rebecca Jaeger’s firepower which yielded 111 strikeouts.

Jaeger was also productive on offense, connecting with two hits — one of them a double — for three times at the plate.

Rebecca’s younger sister Rachel, a freshman, hit 3 for 4 at bat, hit a double, as did senior catcher Abby Baertschi — along with an RBI — and senior fielder Logan Clark. Exciting the Warrior crowd was a home run slugged by classmate Maddi Mann. Rachel Layton, another senior, was 2 for 3 with an RBI and she scored a run. Junior Alysia Kane

In the earlier tourney semifinal, Lake George beat Ticonderoga 12-1, with Rebecca Jaeger on the mound.

Jaeger kept Ticonderoga’s offense contained — tallying 8 strikeouts — while her teammates produced hits scattered through the game.

Baertschi hit both a double and a triple and an RBI as well as scoring two runs. Mann whacked two doubles, and Clarke — 3 for 5 — hit a double as well as scoring two runs and an RBI. Rachel Jaeger was 2 for 4, scoring 3 runs and an RBI, Deme Fish showed patience at the plate but aggression in her running, gaining two walks, an RBI, two runs and two stolen bases in the process.

WARRIORS STAGE A LATE-GAME REBOUND

On May 4 the Warriors defeated Warrensburg 10-6 with a sixth inning comeback featuring six runs and an additional one in the seventh to secure the game.

Rebecca Jaeger’s durable arm produced consistent defense for the remainder of the game after Warrensburg launched

a six-run tirade in the third inning.

Both teams exhibited hot batting: Producing for the Warriors were Rachel and Rebecca Jaeger with one and two doubles respectively, joined by senior Morgan Zilm with her own two-bagger. For the Burghers, freshman Nayana DeAmelia and her sister Bella, a junior, both hit triples; while juniors Dianne Curtis and Mikayla Rothermel each hit a double.

A day earlier, the Warriors defeated Hadley-Luzerne by a score of 15-3. Highlights included 12 strikeouts by Rebecca Jaeger and productive hitting by her sister Rachel as well as Baertschi, Clarke — and Mann, who hit a triple.

WARRENSBURG CRUSHES ARGYLE

One of Warrensburg’s highlights of the season occurred May 3 when then cruised over Argyle by a score of 18 to 3 — a welcome respite from early-season disappointments.

The Burghers’ batting produced 16 hits, including a slew of doubles — one each from Langworthy, sophomores Hope Boland and Sydney Gerrain, as well as juniors Megan Hughes and Dianne Curtis. Bella DeAmelia, Langworthy, and Rothermel were all 3 for 4 for the game. As pitcher, Langworthy kept Argyle’s bats relatively silent. ■

Gillibrand announces bill to aid employee-owned businesses

INDIAN LAKE | Every year, the North Country Crafters undertake a service project.

This year’s effort to make pillowcases was inspired by the story of Cameron Neubereit, a local boy who has been fighting cancer, said the organization’s president, Leila Lewis.

Following a 2016 cancer diagnosis, the community has rallied to help Cameron’s family as he receives treatment.

The family benefited from the services of Ronald McDonald House in Albany and they still remain active in the organization, thus the referral to the North Country Crafters when they were deciding on their service project for this year.

The pillowcases help to provide a warm and “at home feel” for the children and they get to take their pillowcases home with them when it comes time to leave, Lewis said.

The North Country Crafters have made over 75 pillowcases and will soon be donating them to the Ronald McDonald House In Albany. ■

Right of Redemption: Any person having or claiming to have an interest in any such real property and the legal right thereto may on or before said date, redeem the same by paying the amount of all such unpaid tax liens thereon, including all interest and penalties and other legal charges which are included in the lien against such real property, computed to and including the date of redemption.

Such payments shall be made to Michael R. Swan, Warren County Treasurer, Warren County Municipal Center, 1340 State Route 9, Lake George, New York 12845. In the event that such taxes are paid by a person other than the record owner of such real property, the person so paying shall be entitled to have the tax liens affected thereby satisfied of record, but title to the property will not be otherwise affected.

Last Day for Redemption: The last day for redemption is hereby fixed as the 13th day of July, 2018.

Service of Answer: Every person having any rights, title or interest in or lien upon any parcel of real property described in this Petition may serve a duly verified answer upon the attorney for the Tax District setting forth in detail the nature and amount of his or her interest and any defense or objection to the foreclosure. Such Answer must be filed in the Office of the Warren County Clerk and served upon the attorney for the Tax District on or before the date above-mentioned as the last day for redemption.

Failure to Redeem or Answer: In the event of failure to redeem or answer by any person having the right to redeem or answer, such person shall be forever barred and foreclosed of all his or her right, title and interest and equity of redemption in and to the parcel described in this Petition and Notice of Foreclosure and a Judgment in foreclosure may be taken by default.
