Here is our small business story...
An art professor and her former student, we - Khara and Luckey - unknowingly launched Serious Lip Balm from our kitchens in 2014 when we discovered a mutual passion for creating handmade and useful gifts while making people laugh and trying to make a positive impact on this beautiful world. Serious Lip Balm quickly escalated from a way to give something heartfelt to teachers to a fully -fledged business with more than 15 products that include a little something for everyone from paw balms for your doggos to nipple balms for runners and breastfeeding mamas. Our little-company-thatcould also has a commitment to its community and world – we are happy to employ and support the wonderful individuals of Elm City Rehabilitation Center as well as partner with inspiring foundations that promote awareness, educate and advocate for social justice and kindness in our communities.

Story Of Lula
Lula came into my life as a sassy 4 month old English Bulldog puppy who had opinions about everything. She quickly became my constant companion and best friend. Whatever life brought me Lula was down for the ride. Traveling was her favorite and it didn,t matter if we were packing up to head to another state or just walking across the house to the kitchen. She was right there, waddling beside me. Ready to sit shotgun. She made the perfect Customer Service Representative for Serious Lip Balm because it was in her nature to make sure everyone was happy while also keeping me in my place. Unfortunately Lula left this world for one where rivers are made of popcorn, the front seat is always available, and everyone is allowed on the couches.

ORDERING AND PAYING AND WHAT NOT
We currently have a minimum opening order of $150 and reorder of $125. We offer small quantities per product so that you can try a bunch of stuff. Lip balms come in 15 per scent, everything else comes in 5 per product. Want a tester? We,ve got those for half of the lowest wholesale cost – you can get one per scent of product and we highly recommend them. A customer that tries the product becomes a buyer - seriously, our sh*t is that good. Payment is due before we ship – we,re sorry, we wish we didn’t have to say that but we are just a small business, you know? Once we are buddies for a while, we can talk about NET30.
SHIPPING AND SUCH
We are going to do our darndest to get your order out the door ASAP, usually within 1-3 days or we will let you know otherwise. We ship via USPS and UPS, whichever is the best for your region and order, but we are happy to work with you on that. Shipping is 12% of the cost of the order or whatever the online marketplace of choice deems appropriate.
Is the weather hot where you are? Make sure you tell us because OUR STUFF MELTS, y,all. We can happily arrange for cold packs and shipping on certain dates (like, not on a Friday so it doesn’t bake in a warehouse all weekend) so if you could give us a heads-up, that would be amazing.

We,ve got some amazing humans that make and ship our awesome products but life happens; should you have an issue with your order or are missing something, please hold onto your order and contact us within 5 days of receiving it so that we can do our best to make the whole situation better. We aren,t miracle workers but we can do some pretty great things if given the opportunity. Look, we can,t give you three wishes or a pony or anything, but we will bust our asses as best we can.
