ARTIST’S BIO

Each piece begins with a precisely cut crystal infused internally with blends of gold, silver, and titanium. Heated to extreme temperatures, these metals fuse within the crystal, creating vibrant, iridescent color that is permanent and integral to the material—not applied or coated. Originally developed by NASA for space applications, this technology forms a living prism that reflects and refracts light, shifting continuously with movement, changing light, and surrounding color.

LeightWorks is a jewelry brand rooted in more than two decades of glass artistry, founded on the belief that light, color, and emotion can be worn. From this legacy, Aurora Crystal Jewelry emerged as its evolution—bringing the same luminous artistry into an accessible, everyday form.

Artist David Leight began his formal glass training in 1999 at the world-renowned Pilchuck Glass School, founded by Dale Chihuly.

Studying under master glass artist Mark Taylor, he developed a distinctive cutting and polishing style inspired by crystal, ice formations, and the natural geometry of light. These early explorations became the foundation of his lifelong creative journey.

After graduating in 2004, David exhibited his work in galleries along the West Coast and soon received a pivotal commission to create a five-foot glass sculpture for Google. In 2005, while selling sculptural glass at a local farmers market, a simple request—to turn a glass paperweight into a pendant—sparked a breakthrough moment. When she put it on, LeightWorks Crystal Jewelry was born.

Today, LeightWorks and Aurora Crystal Jewelry are sold worldwide in museums, galleries, airports, casinos, cruise ships, and fine gift shops, and have been featured on FOX, NBC, CBS, and KUSI. Known for their signature glow, durability, and waterproof design, each piece is crafted for all-day, everyday wear—and built to last a lifetime.

Guaranteed Exchange Process

We guarantee exchanges on all of our products. If, after a couple of seasons or you notice the line has slowed down or some items are not moving, we encourage you to send back the slower items for credit towards best-selling products.

Please note: It is very important to always be stocked up on our best-selling items: drop earrings, x-small drop pendants, and small stud earrings.

If the price point of LeightWorks is too high for your customers, we also encourage you to exchange the high-priced LeightWorks for our new Aurora Crystal Jewelry line. It has the same high quality at a more affordable price point.

Items must be returned in good condition, and then a credit or exchange will be issued. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Minimum opening orders are $300.

Re-Orders are $150.

Credit card required on opening orders.

We accept all major credit cards.

Net 30 terms available upon approval.

3% charge on Net 30 credit card payments.

In the event products are received damaged or there is a short shipment, please notify LeightWorks ASAP so we may resolve the issue. Any returned product requires pre-authorization by LeightWorks.

New Customers: Please contact us if you would like assistance selecting items, help with custom pieces, or suggestions for your display. We encourage our customers not to use too much light on the display, as lower lighting makes the pieces glow more.
