When you need a break from the beach…
Three golf courses in the area are waiting for you! Feel the breeze on the town-owned Dennis Highlands golf course situated on one of the highest points in Dennis. This course off Old Bass River Road offers interesting elevation challenges, not to mention scenic vistas. It is noted for having one of the most spectacular practice ranges as well as casual dining and lounge, the Eagle’s Nest, offering inside and outside seating.
The other town-owned course, Dennis Pines in East Dennis, has all of the trees and sand you’d expect from an inland Cape Cod course, with plenty of challenge due to its tree-lined corridors. You’ll find it places a premium on accuracy. The 12th hole is said to be one of the most difficult par five holes anywhere. Relax in Tee Birds restaurant and lounge after your fulfilling day.

Blue Rock, a public/private course in South Yarmouth, was one of the first championship courses built in the region and has been winning awards ever since. Among its many accolades, Blue Rock is consistently ranked the best Cape Cod golf course by the Cape Cod Times and one of the best par three courses in the country by Sports Illustrated. It’s described as family-friendly yet still challenging for the serious golfer. And it’s efficient – you can golf 18 holes in less than four hours.
