9-18 | CAPE COD HYDRANGEA FESTIVAL Gardeners across Cape Cod will ring in the summer season with the 7th Annual Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival, happening July 9-18, 2021. The main attraction across the 10-day festival are tours of local gardens. On Cape Cod the route runs Sunday August 8th from Bourne to Provincetown and caters to all levels of cycling ability and fundraising capacity. ennis boasts the most beaches of any town on Cape Cod (17 on the ocean, two on freshwater ponds) and is considered by many to have some of the BEST beaches on the Cape! We are one of the few towns that offer options on both Nantucket Sound (southside) and Cape Cod Bay (northside). For specific services at each beach, please refer to our information chart on page 27.

SOUTHSIDE BEACHES Our eight southside beaches are found on Nantucket Sound where, because of the Gulf Stream, the water is usually six degrees warmer than the northside making these beaches quite popular! Furthest east, Cliff Metcalf Memorial and Inman Beaches adjoin and are a short walk from Seaview Park, the perfect ingredients for a fun-filled family day! Both beaches are convenient to The Soundings, By the Sea Guests Bed and Breakfast, The Breakers, Corsair and Cross Rip, and Seashell Motel. And if you’re looking for delicious New England cuisine, mosey over to Ebbtide or Corsair’s Deep End Café!

At the west end of Chase Avenue, you’ll find Depot Street Beach cushioned between the Colony Beach Resort Motel and Three Seasons Resort. Spend the day unwinding on the beach or have a little fun next door at the Ocean House Beach Bar and Beaches Café. Why not finish your day with dinner and a nightcap at the Ocean House? For an intimate experience, try Raycroft Beach where the world seems to stand still. Feel the gentle sea breeze rustling through your hair as the sun shines upon your face, kissing your skin. Nestled amongst the Pelham House and the Kingfisher Oceanside, Sea Street Beach is a family-friendly option, convenient for those renting a cottage in Dennis Port. The beach is extremely tranquil due to its remote location… a place to truly get away from it all!

FRESHWATER BEACHES Dennis offers two freshwater pond beaches both located on Scargo Lake. Princess Beach is a perfect family environment with a pavilion for picnics, roped-off swimming area, walking trails and playground. Scargo Beach is surrounded by woods and residential area. While it has no sitting beach area, its shallow, sandy-bottom shoreline is ideal for children. Plus, the lake is stocked with fish, making this a popular fishing spot.

Mobi or Surf chairs are floating beach wheelchairs designed for limited-mobility individuals to enhance their beach experience. The town of Dennis offers the use of these surf chairs at NO COST by reservation and are available at Corporation, Mayflower, West Dennis and Princess Beaches.
