Hello ladies and gentlepeople, Welcome to the HAN-Kaotic Learning Trip.

10 students, 10 teachers and 2 lectors from Arnhem Business School, HAN Faculty of Education, Engineering and Health and Social Studies depart for Denmark to embark in a two-day professional development masterclass hosted by www.KaosPilot.dk.

THE ART AND CRAFT OF FACILITATING LEARNING SPACES This masterclass for higher education teachers is on the subject of using learning spaces to increase the creativity and innovation of students.

This is our first Collective Learning Journal where all participants share their dreams for the future.

What gives me energy, makes me itch is when I can make real connections with people. When someone sees his or her full potential and realizes it's great to expose this. If money were no object I would want to travel the world!

The foundation I'm building on to myself is confidence and living indipendently. There for, it triggers me to have the courage to start new habits.

The most important value to me is transparency, within personal contact as well within a business context.

Why are we so different in our beliefs, while we all want to be accepted and loved in the same way? that's the question I travel with. The most important learning question to me is how we can connect to people and help them reach their full potential without thinking in a compartmentalised way

My own transformation would be to live without ego and fear. My dot on the horizon would be to inspire people to live the life they want to live and learn them how they can find out what that life would be for them.

What’s on your mind?

My desire is to give creativity (in the larges defenition of the word) a (new?) place in our scholing system. I believe in the power of creating and the space that is nescessary to be able to create new things and learn while doing that. If money was no issue I would be making art, I would be bringing art into learning and finding ways to create space within our school system.

How can I create that kind of leaningspace, like a playground.

That's a big question... what I value most is thankfullness, connectedness, to be responsible and respectfull... and to play a little bit every day, to see life as a gift.

When the need is big enough, I have the courage to start new habits. It helps me to do that together, with other people. One of my old habits is to stay inside of my head to long, to focus on the things that might not go right in steat of focussing on the opportunities. My foundation is a mix of experience in jobs and education. The choices I made in my past that I'm proud of. It's who I am today.

I don't have a religion so my foundation is what I learned from my parents en at school, that's what I believe because I don't know better than that. I never thought about starting new habits but I think I will be able to do it.

I desire success, in this case success means passing all my exams and finishing my bachelor without a study delay and finding a job that suits my personality. I also crave for happiness and harmony. My past drives me towards having successful life. I like situations which are very competitive. If money was not an object, I would like to travel, to study at one of the best universities in the world, to shop unlimited and to serve people who need help.

Playing with numbers keeps me motivated and happy. anything related to accounting or finance can keep me focused. Stress can trigger my creativity and sometimes having sometime for my self also triggers my creativity.

What do you see?

I see shapes, colors and different sizes, I hear the vibration of the sound, I feel love, sadness, ego, stress, pain and anger, I smell fear , tension, desperation. I taste sweetness and bitterness. I travel with questions such as , how can greed play such a big role in someone's life? what stimulates success? How to overcome ego? My most important learning question would be "how to overcome ego in order to have a peaceful mindset?"

Als geld en tijd geen probleem zouden zijn, dan zou ik de wereld rond reizen om op de mooiste plekken uitdagende, extreme sporten te beoefenen. Ik geniet er vooral van wanneer ik door middel van sport mensen een beter leven kan geven en van de waardering en dankbaarheid die ik daarvoor terug krijg.

Wel de gewoontes waarvan ik weet dat ze beter voor me zijn, ook weer door logisch te beredeneren.

What do you see?

Voor mij is logica de belangrijkste leervraag. Naar mijn idee kunnen (bijna) alle problemen en vraagstukken worden opgelost door kennis en logisch nadenken te combineren.

What do you do?

Muziek brengt mij in een flow waardoor zelfs een autorit van een dag kan voelen als een paar uur. Bijna altijd heb ik muziek op staan wanneer ik alleen ben. Hieruit haal ik concentratie, plezier, energie, emoties, alles.

Genieten, geluk, optimisme en gezelligheid. Ik geniet van wat ik doe en probeer van alles een gezellig moment te maken en blijf altijd optimistisch. Ik laat niet zomaar iets mijn dag verpesten.

My most important learning question is: how can I redesign myself all the time. Like I wish for our students.

I value most: being at ease with all of me in my relations with the people around me. My essence is embracing my all. As I want to look at others; without judgement. Work in progress :-)

What’s on your mind?

What’s the foundation you’re building on?

Lead or follow with a smile. I experience too many people follow unconsciously and out of fear. Therefore I love to challenge students to step out of their comfortzone in search for their own talents and passion.

When they find it, it's easier for them to lead. The shiny eyes of a student is what makes me itch. It awakens my possibilities to help, connect and go for it. I would like to host an 'inventors academy' based on talents who like to experiment to put their core value into the world.

I'm addicted, on many levels. I know how hard it is to change habits, to look at things from different perspectives. Being actually a bit of a depressed person, the challenge for me is always to put my ego-thinking aside (that dark voice telling me I can't do things because ..) trust the process and enjoy the flow of creation.

What do you see?

I see a place where participants create their own learning space and time, decorate it, cherish it, invite their neighbours and share their knowledge, without being judged by 'so called' quality standards. I firmly believe - from quantum mechanics - that we can only 'measure' where our attention as observer goes. So let's measure love, the rest is bollocks What do you do?
