DIARY

On the boat

DAY 1 Today we went to London with the bus. It was very nice but a long trip. We also went with the boat and Raezel, Franka & Jessie were sea sick, so we went inside but there it was even worse so we went back out but it only worked for Jessie & Franka so I went along with Raezel inside on a place where the boat did not move.

Our guest parents came a little later because they had to prepare their first child but that was not that bad. I was together with Jessie, Franka & Sabine in the host family. It was very nice. We ate lasagna which was very tasty and after that we watched television and then we went to bed.

After that we had to get back in the bus and Raezel got well again.

Moments later we were in London. It as very strange because we had to drive on the left side of the road so that felt a bit different. But it was a fun trip. Then we arrived at the meeting place where our host families were waiting for us.

DAY 2 We had to get up early. That was not great. Jessie, Franka and Sabine found it very cute that the children were wearing costumes for school. Then we had breakfast. We got cereal with milk. I don’t like milk very much, but I eat it since I’m very polite.

Then we had to go to the meeting place. We went to the center of London and visited the Royal National Theatre. That was a long trip, but very nice. Then we had lunch. After lunch we went shopping.

That was very nice. I went shopping with Sabine. We had to walk through the whole building because we could not find the souvenir shop. When we found it, we bought some souvenirs.

Then we had a bustour that Nikki had organised which was nice because we could sit the whole time and I made some beautiful pictures. At the end of the bustour we came to Buckingham Palace. We took some pictures in front of the palace and some pictures of the guards, standing in front of the palace.

We went back to the busses and drove back to the meeting place.

We waited on our host family and the went home.

The longest day

DAY 3 Today we went to the London Dungeon. We had to wait very long because there was another group before us but finally we went inside.

It was not as scarry as I thought.

After the London Dungeon we had lunch. After the lunch we went to the museum with the London underground. That was fun!

Then we went back with the London underground to the London Eye where we had to wait before we went into the London Eye. I bought an “I love London” sweater in purple. The London Eye was very cool.

After the London Eye we went eating at the Mac Donalds. After dinner we went to the play “Wicked” which was nice because Sandra, Jessie, Franka, Raezel and I put all our money that we had together and bought some candy. The play was very nice and beautifull.

Then we went back to the meeting place and we had to wait very long. We thought we had to take a cab, but then she came and picked us up and we drove home.

Bye bye London

DAY 4 Today we went back to Arnhem. Sabine and I talked about it the other night. We thought it was very nice that we went home. We left with the bus and we did not take the boat. This time we went through the tunnel.

When we got home, in front of the school, I was very happy because I saw my lovely parents again. Then we got to the Albert Heijn and we bought some candy. That was my trip to London.

On the bus we did a lot of fun games, such as a fireball contest. It was a very spicy fireball and you had to have it as long as you could take, in your mouth, without spitting it out. And some people shared their candy with us. Jessie shared het cookies with us.

A: Romeo and Juliet

A: I liked the part where we stood in the largest room of the theatre where a group of kids on stage was trying to move into a circle, on command of the director. The room was the biggest and the most special room of the theatre with all kinds of special lighting effects.

B: Romeo and Juliet is a lovestory of two young people that can not be together because their parents don’t want them to be together.

B: We were not allowed to take any pictures.

C: Merlin, because it’s my favourite movie and I like to see it in real life. I want that the actors of the movie also play on stage and I can meet them.

1: an Eagle 2: it is a very beautiful animal and I thought it was nice that that was at the museum because I do know that it probably a very old animal is but I see it almost every day an Eagle flying above my house so I thought that was kind of fun and its a cool animal

1: a T-rex at the museum 2: a T-rex was even longer and taller than a double decker bus. a T-rex was as heavy as about 200 10-year-old children.

3:He has great teeth but small poor so he uses his teeth but he has really long legs so he can run hard so he gets easy prey and rips it to pieces with his razor-sharp teeth

A: The Dungeon was a kind of prison where the worst villains sat.

Who had done an exuberant crime such as: someone killed or raped or mistreats.

A: I thought it was not really that scary but I was shocked because it was dark but when the light went on, there was an ugly woman next to me and I was shocked a bit. but otherwise it was not so bad

B: It was especially nice that all these girls were about to shout: we came across a room and had to sit on a bench. The bench tickled your ass. And it felt like rats. They jumped all up and started screaming very loud.
