Welcome to

DUCATI CAMBRIDGE

Hello and a very warm welcome to the latest

Ducati Cambridge newsletter.

And what a year it’s been so far! We’ve seen so many exciting new bikes, including three models with a whole new engine: the Multistrada V2, Streetfighter V2 and the Panigale V2. This all-new 890cc V2 engine platform has redefined the range – instead of chasing horsepower, it’s moved the focus of these bikes to torque and being lightweight. The feedback so far has been incredible!

What makes 2025 even more thrilling is

that the new models are still arriving, with the stunning XDiavel V4 being our latest arrival and the new Desmo450 MX just around the corner.

The motocross project has been really interesting for me personally as it’s been a number of years since I last rode MX. The journey to becoming a dealer has been a fascinating one, from going through the selection process to sending a technician to train in Italy – not to mention the opportunity to work with one of the top suspension companies.

With our off-road adventure continuing in July, as we join the team at Sweet Lamb in Wales for a blast around the countryside

on some DesertX bikes, this year is starting to feel like we are going to be getting very muddy!

It’s not only been a busy year for new bikes – the Ducati events have been coming thick and fast. The Ducati track day at Donington Park has been one of my highlights so far. The weather was amazing, and the group of customers we had in the garage made the off-bike time so enjoyable. What’s more, my laps in the Hypermotard 698 Mono have to be some of the best I have ever turned around that track. I can’t wait until the second date in September!

Another highlight was, of course, the Ducati Roadshow, which happened at the

end of May. We were delighted to be one of the hosts this year, with customers from across Cambridgeshire and beyond joining us at Three10 Automotive to get up close and personal with the latest Ducati lineup. Over 100 keen riders took bikes for a spin, while other guests enjoyed the fun activities and refreshments on offer. We’ll be updating our customers with exciting content soon. If you missed out on this annual event, fear not – you can still arrange a test drive from our showroom by contacting our team today!

Favourite Ducati:

This week it’s the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak! But that could change with the new model launches…

Fun fact:

I am afraid to admit, I name all of my bikes!

Favourite road trip:

Riding down to the Pyrenees on a Streetfighter V4 – but any national park in France works for me! One of my favourite rides is the N106 from La Grand-Combe, then picking up the Gorge du Tarn on the way to Millau on a dry day with sticky tyres!

PETER Service Advisor

Favourite Ducati: Desert Sled.

Favourite road trip: Isle of Man TT circuit on Mad Sunday.

Fun fact:

I keep buying project bikes on eBay and I repair them in my lunch breaks.

CHRIS Motorcycle Technician

Favourite Ducati: The new XDiavel V4.

Favourite road trip:

I’ve been to the Isle of Man TT twice – it was amazing!

Fun fact:

I’ve not ridden a motocross bike since 2007, but the arrival of the new Desmo 450 MX has inspired a trip into the loft to blow the dust off my kit!

MODELS LATEST

Multistrada V2 S

Lighter, smoother, smarter. The all-new 2025 Multistrada V2 S is primed to take your adventures to the next level. Tipping the scales at just 202kg, the V2 S offers improved handling and low-speed manoeuvrability. Equipped with the new liquid-cooled, 90° V-twin Ducati V2 engine, it stands out with electronically adjustable suspension and a quick shifter for seamless gear changes.

XDiavel V4

Made for cruiser lovers. Revamped in every aspect, the new Ducati XDiavel V4 brings that unmistakable Ducati DNA and Italian craftsmanship to the longest road trips. Its sculpted, muscular silhouette exudes elegance and dominance. Powered by a 168hp V4 Granturismo, it flaunts thrilling performance without sacrificing comfort as you devour miles.

Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak

Named in tribute to the legendary race, the Pikes Peak has always been the Ducati for those who love having a faster, meaner version of the Multistrada. The 2025 version shares electronic and mechanical evolutions of the latest Multistrada V4. But it’s sharper, lighter and crafted for serious curves with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension.

Panigale V4 Tricolore

Three Italian colours, four decades of racing pedigree. Here, this special-edition Panigale showcases its Italian heritage and pays homage to Tricolore racing pedigree, cutting-edge style and sophistication. Limited to 1,000 units, this model boasts 213bhp, a 1103cc V4 engine and carbon fibre five-spoke rims, reducing unsprung mass by 950g to allow for remarkable handling.

Panigale V2

Introducing the lightest Panigale of all time! Designed from scratch and weighing in at 17kg less than the previous model, it marks a new chapter for Borgo Panigale twin-cylinder sports bikes as it’s the first model not to be derived from the larger incarnation that competes in Superbike.

Streetfighter V2

Panigale DNA. Streetfighter insolence. The new Streetfighter perfectly embodies the original provocative spirit, with 175kg of pure adrenaline and the trademark high and wide handlebar. No fairings, no filters – it’s the lightest Streetfighter ever produced.

A little dirt NEVER HURT

Ducati Cambridge are getting dirty! We’re gearing up for an exciting new chapter as we prepare to welcome the highly anticipated Ducati Desmo450 MX. This groundbreaking bike marks Ducati’s entry into the AMA Motocross and Supercross, and we’re thrilled to play our part in this exhilarating new venture.

With Ducati’s partnership with Troy Lee Designs, the Desmo450 MX is already proving its mettle. The bike won Ducati’s first motocross title on its debut at the MX1 Italian Motocross Prestige Championship, with rider Alessandro Lupino. And with Ducati’s sights set on the 2025 MXGP World Championship, we’re excited to see how this powerhouse will continue to perform on the global stage. Twenty events are taking place across four continents, culminating on 21 September in Darwin, Australia.

“A totally new world for Ducati“

Desmo450 MX

“I am proud to announce Ducati’s entry into motocross. A totally new world for Ducati in which we want to bring our talent in designing lightweight motorcycles, with excellent components and high performance and – above all – which can excite more and more motorcyclists.”
Claudio Domenicali, CEO

Ducati

The focus of the Ducati off-road project is a combination of the search for lightness pushed to the extreme, top-of-the-line components and engines characterised by a very broad power delivery curve.

The Desmo450 MX is the only motocross bike to feature Ducati’s iconic desmodromic valve timing – a technology honed in MotoGP and WorldSBK that delivers faster revs and smoother gear shifts, particularly

on tight corners and starts. Add advanced electronics and an ultra-lightweight design, and the Desmo450 MX is primed to take on any track.

This exciting model is set to arrive at Ducati Cambridge this summer. We’re proud to be part of this journey, offering you the chance to be one of the first to reserve this exceptional machine. Click the link below to reserve yours today!

Time to roam

5 of the best UK road trips to take this summer

The roar of the engine. The bite of the wind. The scent of pine and asphalt. The road stretching endlessly ahead, daring you to chase it. You can’t beat it.

And as the days get longer and the mercury climbs, it’s the perfect opportunity to hit the open road. Here are our top five picks for summer adventures. And don’t forget to check out our special Welsh rideout event – details on page 17. Let’s get out there!

1. Snake Pass, Peak District

An absolute belter of a ride – fast sweepers, tight hairpins and some proper knee-down action in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The route snakes its way through the stunning moors and reservoirs, but don’t let the views distract you from the task at hand!

2. Rutland TT

This popular 92-mile circular motorcycle route around Rutland Water is renowned for its varied roads and scenic views. Case in point: it’s often used by motorcycle journalists for road tests! It passes through towns like Melton Mowbray, Uppingham, Market Harborough and more.

3. Cat and Fiddle, Cheshire to Derbyshire

This infamous stretch is as thrilling as they come. A rollercoaster of bends, climbs and descents, it’s a biker’s dream. But remember, as the second-highest road in the UK, it demands full focus and respect!

4. The Cotswolds Circuit

Looking for something more leisurely? The Cotswolds Circuit showcases England’s picturesque villages, rolling hills and historic sites, beginning in Stratford-uponAvon. Well-maintained roads with gentle curves ensure an enjoyable ride through routes fringed with spring’s blooms.

5. The NC500, Scotland

Starting and ending in Inverness, this is a 516-mile adrenaline-fuelled odyssey through Scotland’s rugged highlands. Expect twisties that’ll have you scraping pegs, epic views of the coast, lochs and spring heather – and enough elevation changes to keep your throttle hand twitching.

18 JUNE

Royston & District Motorcycle Club Bike Show

We’ll be hoping the sun is shining for this wonderful local event at Eternit Social Club in Meldreth. It’s held by the sociable Royston & District Motorcycle Club, which describes itself as welcoming bikers ‘new and old, born again or weather worn’ – who else falls into the latter camp? They’re hoping to raise lots of money for well deserving charities, having raised a total of £17,000 at the 2024 show, supporting East Anglia Air Ambulance and the Bloodrunners at Suffolk & Cambridgeshire SERV and Herts & Beds SERV.

27 TO 29 JUNE

There aren’t many places in the UK where you can ride 50km of continuous off-road trails, but you can at the UK’s biggest motorcycle festival, which is back at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire this summer. While riding is at the heart of the ABR Festival, there’s a huge amount of things to do out of the saddle – from seeing a full roster of inspirational riders ready to share their tales to incredible live music across two stages, pub quizzes and film festivals.

15 TO 16 JULY

Welsh rideout

You’re invited to join us for an incredible riding experience in Wales. It promises to be a weekend packed full of excitement, including stunning landscapes, expert riding guidance at the Sweet Lamb taster day Ducati experience and the thrilling rush of riding the Ducati DesertX. The region’s diverse landscape, from rolling hills to rugged trails, offers endless opportunities for riders to challenge themselves and refine their skills. It’ll be an unforgettable event!

EVENT RECAPS

DECEMBER 2024

A winning evening with Glenn Irwin

For the second year running, our ‘racer’ evening was a roaring success, with brilliant insights from a BSB rider and over 60 bike enthusiasts coming together to raise money for a worthy cause.

Jon and Glenn shared a brilliantly funny and insightful interview, where they discussed all things motorcycle racing, sharing stories of victory and giving guests a first-hand look at the mindset it takes to push the limits on the track. It left everyone thoroughly entertained. Glenn even stayed late into the evening to chat with our guests and happily answered any questions they had about his esteemed career and the world of motorcycle racing.

It was also a great opportunity for guests to see our dynamic line-up of newly

released models. The 2025 Panigale V4 S, Multistrada V4 and DesertX Discovery were on display. What’s more, our fantastic attendees raised just under £500 for our chosen charity: the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Thank you all who so generously donated and helped support such a worthy cause!

It was a true joy to share the room with so many bike enthusiasts who were willing to brave the gloomy December weather and bring some cheer to our Cambridge showroom. To top it all off, our friends at Pimp My Fish Catering delivered an incredible menu, served with a variety of drinks – hearts were merry and bellies were happy. Thanks to everyone involved in putting on this amazing event!

We Ride As One 2025

This spring, Ducatisti from all over the world, including our very own Ducati Cambridge riders, came together to experience the fourth edition of #WeRideAsOne – the widespread global event that Ducati dedicates to its community to meet up, get to know each other and celebrate their passion for two wheels together. This year’s event was even more special as it was the 25th anniversary of the Ducati Official Club.

Starting out from our Ducati Cambridge showroom, the riders travelled to Sandringham Estate in Norfolk – check out the incredible shots from the day.

the eyes. Guests enjoyed refreshing drinks, exclusive event-only offers and plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with our newest motorcycles.

We were also thrilled to welcome local content creator Jordan Page, who captured the spirit of the day and some truly breathtaking shots of our bikes on display.

More than 19,000 enthusiasts from over 65 countries shared the pleasure of a day of riding together. It doesn’t matter where you are, because when you are on a Ducati, you are part of something bigger. (Although, we’d always say there’s nowhere better than right here at Ducati Cambridge!)
