Creative Design Team

Michael Gray

is an acclaimed Impressionist painter with representation in six galleries throughout the United States.

His paintings can be found in government, corporate and private collections throughout the world. Gray was a charter member of the Governor’s “Canvas the Arts” committee and is a founding member of the Daedelus Workshop Theater and On Stage Theater. His involvement in winter guard in the Carolinas can be traced back to its roots and he has served as designer, consultant, and/or clinician for many notable units and a host of circuit champions. Michael went on to participate as a WGI Judge, where he served three years as the Ensemble Analysis Facilitator. Michael’s clinics at WGI’s SPINFEST were among the top rated and he has conducted both designer and judges training clinics throughout the US, England, Japan, and the Netherlands. He has 6 years experience as an Ensemble Visual, General Effect and Color Guard Judge for DCI. He is frequently seen in the judges seat at many BOA Regional competitions as well as the Grand Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Rob Depp

has over 30 years of design experience for some of the nation’s finest bands, including concept development, drill design, uniform, flag and prop design. His experience includes design consulting for over 35 state championships, 5 BOA national class champions, as well as multiple BOA regional champions and finalists. As a principal in an international design firm, Rob leverages two decades of experience in corporate brand design to develop uniform concepts that reflect the unique character of each band program.

Chad Duggan

has been involved in the performing and pageantry arts for more than thirty years. He has participated as a performer, educator, designer, clinician, and adjudicator. The expertise gained from involvement at every level has placed him among the leaders in the uniform and costume design industry. Many of the costumes and uniforms he designed for the Madison Scouts and Every-Body Winter Guards are talked about even today. Past collaborations and design work also included Bluecoats, Santa Clara Vanguard, The Cadets, Phantom Regiment, Blue Knights, Boston Crusaders, Crossmen, The Academy, The Troopers, Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard, West Chester University, Towson University, Ball State University, and Missouri State University.

Chad understands the impact of having the right look and how that look contributes to the overall effectiveness of the performance ensemble. Chad’s resume includes design work for theatre, modern dance, ballet, casino productions and Mardi Gras!
