Regional Living is really all about the memories and family time together.

DEMDACO designer Jennifer Livingston has fond memories of camping in New England as a young child. Inevitably, it would always rain.

She remembers those trips happily as being filled with mishaps, laughter, friends, family and an occasional pop up thunderstorm – all the makings of a great memory. These days, Jennifer and her extensive family spend more time at their Midwestern lake house than roughing it in the great outdoors.

“Regional Living is really all about the memories and family time together. There are certain sounds and scents that take me back – coffee in a thermos on long car trips, the sound of chimes blowing in the wind at the cabin and our favorite snack mix for game night at the campsite,” Jennifer says.

This collection highlights the colors, scenery and iconography of each region by drawing inspiration from all the different places and memories that shape us.

Sharon Nowlan Collection

Sharon Nowlan grew up drawing, painting and creating inspired by the natural beauty of her home in the seaside village of Pictou, Nova Scotia.

As a mother, the seascape and landscape came into tighter focus. Her son was three when he gathered a handful of pebbles at the beach, ending up in her first mixed media art piece. She’s since dedicated herself to the craft, working in this medium for nearly two decades.

In her home studio hidden away behind fruit trees, Sharon says she enjoys her

“messy little spot.” She describes it being “filled with trays of pebbles and glass and empty coffee cups.” She adds, “with sunshine in the summer and the warmth of a cozy wood fire in the winter.”

Influenced by her evolving style, Sharon’s designs include other natural objects like shells, twigs, driftwood and bits of sea glass. She says, “I will continue to find new ways to capture the beauty of life that is all around us.” And it all began with a handful of pebbles.

The world is a piece of art waiting to happen.

Artist Dean Crouser says, “I am always striving to say the most with the least.” His distinctive collection of home accents features his skilled watercolors with vibrant botanical, equine, floral or songbird motifs. He adds, “My goal is to capture the beauty and simplicity of a scene in a manner that people haven’t seen before.”

Dean was born and raised in Oregon. There, he spent his summers camping and fishing in the foothills of Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge and the Central Oregon High Lakes. His adventurous childhood fostered

a love of the outdoors, apparent in the expressions of his art. Dean describes his process, saying he prefers his work to be “loose and spontaneous.”

A true master of watercolor, he translates his artistry by infusing charm into everyday objects. A master of multiple trades, Dean is also known as a star of track and field. A three-time NCAA champion, he holds records in discus and shot put at the University of Oregon and is honored in the school’s Hall of Fame.

Nestled in Montana, a quaint cabin is a fitting setting for the birth of Bearfoots®. As Jeff spotted a black bear while sitting on his porch, he dreamed up a jovial character, Handy the bear. Alive in his imagination, Handy would inspire a beloved family of bear characters and sculptures. Jeff’s Bearfoots® collection delights outdoor and animal lovers alike. An ideal vacation or destination keepsake, each charming accessory offers an everyday touch of woodsy adventure.

A Montana native, Jeff says, “I love the wilderness and all things wild.” That love inspires his artistry. Jeff’s career began in 1985, and in 1996, his beloved Bearfoots collection was born.

Crafted entirely by hand, Bearfoots have taken many forms, such as hand-cast figurines, cookie jars, flower planters and more! Jeff’s work expands beyond wood carvings to include a collection cast in bronze from his original sculpts. He says, “There’s a permanence that I fell in love with when working with clay and seeing it evolve into the finished sculpture.”

Still, Jeff maintains that woodcarving is his true passion. “I’ve always enjoyed working with wood and began by sculpting large wood carvings… I’ve carved bears standing 20 feet tall.” His original and commissioned work has shipped around the world, is found in most National Parks and even Disney World.

Today, Jeff and his family work together at his Bear Country Studio and Gallery in Kalispell, Montana. An avid outdoorsman, Jeff and his family enjoy all the adventures Montana has to offer.

We partner with artists representing a wide range of styles and mediums and whose work is consistent with our values. Products are curated through this filter then carefully reproduced by skilled hands around the world. Under the DEMDACO brand, product categories include Everyday, Baby, Fashion, Holiday and Destinations.

Based in Leawood, Kansas, we believe that business is not merely a financial endeavor but, first and foremost, a human endeavor. This philosophy guides business decisions, informs how the company interacts with colleagues and customers, provides a framework for philanthropic work and leads efforts to create a dynamic workplace.

Living Our Mission: Community Giving

Community involvement and charitable giving are ways we seek to Lift the Spirit in consumers, in each other and in our communities. That means supporting people and organizations who Lift the Spirit. We are grateful for those who serve others and the opportunities we are given to support their work — financially or by volunteering our time.

To achieve our goals, we provide five paid Lift the Spirit days to every DEMDACO colleague per year. We use these days to improve the lives of others — whether it’s helping out at a child’s school, volunteering at a local service organization or lending a hand to someone in need. DEMDACO also organizes group Lift the Spirit days where colleagues join together in activities such as building hygiene kits for disaster relief with Heart to Heart International or spending time with patients at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

• Products are custom made to your order; Your confirmed order cannot be changed or cancelled.

• Lead time; our average lead time goal is 30 days, lead time can vary due to demand.

• Fulfillment; Not all product formats are made at the same time so multiple boxes and shipments can occur.

• Seasonal retailers; order early to assure availability for key selling and merchandising windows.

Product Availability

The availability of merchandise in our catalog is not guaranteed, as it maybe low in stock. If merchandise is not available at the time your order is processed, we will notify you via e-mail. You may also call Customer Care (888.336.3226) to verify availability and sign up to receive shipping confirmation e-mails that inform you when items have shipped.

Shipping Information

Delivery is limited to the 50 United States. When shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, additional shipping charges will apply. Shipping costs are based on the total dollar amount of standard product orders.

Is there a minimum order amount?

Yes. The minimum amounts are $150 on opening orders and $150 on reorders.

What should I do if product is damaged or defective?

We are sorry to hear you have received an item that is damaged or defective. Please contact Customer Care within 30 days for a Return Authorization Number and product replacement/credit. Please note that it takes 7 to 14 business days to process credit/returns once received.

Original shipping costs are not refundable. Return and exchange shipping costs are your responsibility. However, DEMDACO will pay return shipping costs for returns that are a result of our error (incorrect or defective item).

All processed returns will appear on your DEMDACO account as a credit and are eligible for use towards any current or future open invoice

Freight Truck Item Returns (items delivered by Freight Truck rather than FedEx): If a piece arrives damaged in the delivery process, please call Customer Care immediately. Please inspect all products prior to accepting delivery. If product appears damaged, please refuse the shipment and contact us immediately.

How do I change my order after submitting it?

We will do everything we can to accommodate your request, but please be aware that our order-fulfillment and shipping systems are designed to get orders out quickly and efficiently. Therefore, we cannot change or cancel an order once it has entered the shipping process. Please contact Customer Care for a Return Authorization Number and product replacement/credit.
