Another visitor to Mallorca was entrepreneur Frank Thelen, one of the ‘dragons’ on VOX. In a recent interview with BI, he spoke about his investment in a German start-up. “We are building with Lilium the first truly electric jet in the world. It takes off and lands vertically, travels at 400 km/h and costs only a fraction of a normal aircraft. New technology such as this is capable of completely changing the way people and goods are transported.” Auch er war schon auf Mallorca zu Gast: Unternehmer Frank Thelen, einer der Löwen auf VOX, sprach kürzlich im BI-Interview über sein Investment in ein deutsches Start-up. „Wir bauen mit Lilium den ersten wirklichen Elektrojet der Welt. Der startet und landet senkrecht, ist 450 Stundenkilometer schnell und kostet einen Bruchteil eines normalen Flugzeugs. Eine solche neue Technologie ist geeignet, die Art und Weise komplett zu verändern, wie Menschen und Güter transportiert werden.“

Sir richard Branson plays in the 2016 necker cup In mid-November 2016, Necker Island in The British Virgin Islands once again played host to the Pro-Am Tennis Event, The Necker Cup. Teams are composed of one pro and two amateur players, among them Caroline Wozniacki, Stefan Edberg and of course Sir Richard Branson himself. Sponsors included FunAir, a company that sells inflatable toys for superyachts. This year floating greens were anchored in the sea off Necker Island like small islands, so that people could practise their golf swing from their yachts, too. In order to keep this yacht-golf ecologically sound, bio-degradable golf balls from Albus Golf were used that dissolve and turn into fish food in the water.
