The Outward Bound partnership is an experiential education initiative designed to build resilience, leadership, and teamwork skills through challenging outdoor adventures and excursions
In partnership with the Bunnell Idea Group, the Give to Grow event inspires participants to take charge of their future and aims to foster growth, increase effectiveness, and support longterm career success through genuine relationship building
COMPASS is growing to include three experiential-based program offerings. These programs, provided through world-class partnerships, offer a wide range of experiences for all learning styles and knowledge levels. Find yourself at a COMPASS experience!

ABOUT
You have likely experienced or heard about the gap many young people have in social and professional skillsets. You also might be asking yourself, “What is Delt doing to help our members prepare for the real world?” That is a valid and important question. Delta Tau Delta has developed a set of proposed program partnerships that will deliver exactly that! Here’s the concept:
“COMPASS Experiences” provide a menu of program options focused on character education, values identification, leadership development, skills activation and more through a variety of world-class partnerships delivered by Delta Tau Delta. Like the needle on a compass rose helps position a traveler, our COMPASS Experiences help orient young Delts for successful futures. Our progression of programs offers a wide range of experiences for all learning styles and knowledge levels, helping usher Delts through the transitional undergraduate years into their careers and life post-graduation.
YOUR HELP
We see the need for these experiences and hope you do, too Our goal is to offer these programs at little or no cost to our participants while not creating a financial burden for the Fraternity at large Through the Membership Impact Study conducted by Delta Tau Delta, we know that more than 40% of young Delts work full or part-time while attending classes and participating in the Fraternity. We also know nearly 70% are paying all or a portion of their dues. We believe that the ability to participate in these life-changing programs should not be determined by a student’s financial status. Here’s the good news each program is fully fundable through charitable contributions to the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation. For you, that means tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation can be leveraged to offer these programs while reducing your taxable income.

LeaderShape Institute
This experience is designed for emerging leaders or anyone interested in strengthening their capabilities through values identification and vision setting. Participants will develop a sense of community, make meaning of their personal values, connect their actions to them, strengthen their leadership style and understand how to work with other leadership styles.
Outward Bound
This experience is designed for individuals looking to hone and apply their leadership skills through outdoor adventures and excursions. The Outward Bound partnership offers participants the opportunity to develop essential life skills such as resilience, selfawareness and conflict resolution while building confidence, teamwork and goal-setting abilities. Participation also fosters belonging, environmental awareness and a sense of purpose among the students.
Give to Grow
This experience is designed for upperclassmen and young alumni seeking to identify, refine and apply real-world transferrable skills. Give to Grow instills career and business acumen amongst participants, preparing them for lasting personal and career success Led by renowned business strategist Mo Bunnell, participants will master the art of building strategic relationships, confidently navigating career transitions and cultivating the highimpact skills that define top performers in their industries.

Outward Bound
This experience is designed for individuals looking to hone and apply their leadership skills through outdoor adventures and excursions. The Outward Bound partnership offers participants the opportunity to develop essential life skills such as resilience, self-awareness and conflict resolution while building confidence, teamwork and goal-setting abilities. Participation also fosters belonging, environmental awareness and a sense of purpose among the students.
By investing in the COMPASS x Outward Bound partnership, you are not only increasing your impact but also expanding the influence these programs have on young Delts across the country. In turn, together we are developing a critical mass of individuals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to navigate the modern world with confidence.
This experience 100% changed me and how I view myself and my abilities. It made me feel more comfortable being uncomfortable and stretched out my comfort zone. I gained a new appreciation for the little things in life and a newfound respect for the Earth and the environment.
*Programs funded by the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation must be determined as educational in nature to maintain standing with the IRS. These programs are deemed 100% fundable through charitable contributions.
SUMMARY
Delta Tau Delta’s programmatic offerings should be viewed as a layered continuum, building on one another without limiting pathways to engagement. These programs, resources, and initiatives deliver a multifaceted approach recognizing the interconnectedness of various aspects of an individual's growth. These opportunities offer comprehensive support tailored to the diverse needs of our members and chapters, helping them to reach their full potential.
Recognizing that excellence is not a destination but a journey, we are not looking to simply alleviate immediate challenges but instead lay the groundwork for long-term resilience and success. We have accomplished much in our first year of COMPASS Experiences, and with continued support, we can reach even greater heights.
OUTWARD BOUND IMPACT
I can’t stress enough how amazing an opportunity Outward Bound was. It truly changed my life, and I met some incredible people with whom I’ll be friends for a very long time.
I have never done something like this in my life... This trip adds to the list of ways that joining Delta Tau Delta has improved my life, whether it's improving my social skills, my work ethic, or my critical thinking skills.
I have never heard of another fraternity offering any sort of program that comes close to this experience. If there is any COMPASS experience worth keeping, it would be this Outward Bound collaboration.
