MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Brothers, Delta Upsilon is running a relay marathon that has no finish line. We just pass the baton and keep running. One year blends into the next. The faces of the undergraduates are new and the faces of the alumni keep getting older. The faces change, the projects get larger, the challenges intensify and the good humor continues. One thing that does not change is the dedication of Delta Upsilon to Building Better Men. As we prepare to pass the baton to a new President this August at the 2006 Delta Upsilon Leadership Institute, Convention and Assembly of Trustees, there are many observations that I have after serving as your President for the past six years. Four issues that matter most are discussed below.

Size does matter. Those chapters that support a Ed Porter, Oklahoma ’65 membership number that ranks in the top three or four fraternities on their campus find that their chapter provides a better overall fraternity experience.

I have learned through discussions with the Presidents of other fraternities that they have the same experience. Therefore, we should focus on recruiting more men of merit. Those chapters that rank near the top of the numbers scale on their campus have much more success in recruiting more men of merit and can have greater success in Building Better Men. All chapters find that by focusing their recruitment on our principles of Character, Justice and Culture result in more and better new members. Friendship with more men of merit is the product.

Principles do matter. The DU chapters that have focused on the principles that set DU apart are having the most success in Building Better Men and in maintaining or growing their already large membership size. DU’s principle of Friendship is also claimed by many other fraternities. However, the combination of the principles of Character, Justice and Culture are unique. Every act that we take as undergraduates or alumni should be measured by how that act is impacted by our belief in Character, Justice and Culture. Those principles are DU’s guide. The 2006 DU Leadership Institute in Kansas City will focus on Recruiting Our Principles.

Projects do matter. Delta Upsilon, because of our principles, has forged a unique partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the U.S. and Canada. DU was chosen exclusively by the B&GC. This is a huge opportunity for us to Build Better Men, and to help create a better world by using the principles of DU to work with young boys and girls. By concentrating our community service efforts on one organization we achieve a much greater impact than spreading our service projects over several organizations. In addition to providing a critical and much needed service, this partnership affords DU an opportunity to showcase our principles on TV and in the press.

Alumni are the key to success. DU enjoys a membership of over 60,000 men around the world. The office in Indianapolis has valid contact information on over 55,000 of those members. As more of these alumni become active in a nearby chapter (their own chapter or another chapter) they find the reward of knowing that they have a huge impact on Building Better Men. The undergraduates in those chapters that have a number of alumni supporting the chapter with their presence have a much better DU experience. The chapters that enjoy alumni support are bigger, better, more vibrant, more fun, more stable, and are best able to Build Better Men. In order to build awareness DU is/has been holding alumni receptions and dinner meetings in many cities. The DU Blue and Gold Carpet is rolled out and a number of Board members of the International Fraternity as well as local DUs attend and learn about the amazing things that are happening at DU. Be sure to attend when one of these events is near you.

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your President. As the baton is passed in this endless relay marathon, I know that all DUs will continue to support DU and its principles.

Pennsylvania State Founders Day Celebration

On April 22, brothers from all around the country and different eras gathered in State College, Pennsylvania for the Pennsylvania State Chapter Founder’s Day. Poor weather kept brothers off the golf course, but it could not keep brothers from socializing and reconnecting later that evening during dinner.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2006 Pennsylvania State Founder’s Day Award to Brother Barry Hoffman, Lafayette and Pennsylvania State ’63. Brother

Hoffman received the Founder’s Day Award for living a life that reflects the founding principles of Delta Upsilon. Brother Hoffman received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

While in the chapter at Pennsylvania State, Brother Hoffman served as the Treasurer. Brother Hoffman is Executive Vice President and General Counsel, and a member of the Board of Directors of Valassis Communications, Inc. Prior to going to Valassis, he served as an officer in the United States Army, a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation and an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

The event was organized and put together by Brothers Bill Landherr ’59, Ben Amato ’60, Vince Tedesco ’64, and (John) Cy Dubinsky ’59.

Washington, D.C. Area Alumni Reception The Blue and Gold Carpet was rolled out in grand style at the Washington D.C. Alumni Reception on April 24th. A good number of DU Brothers came together at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. to join in fellowship and brotherhood, but also to recognize some outstanding alumni in the area.

The event started out with a welcome by Chairman of the Board, Brother Bill Messick Lafayette ’68. Brother Messick gave a presentation on the state of the Fraternity and the direction of the Fraternity. Brother Messick then turned the program over the Dave Schumacher, Executive Director of the DU Educational Foundation, who talked about the Foundation’s long term and short term goals. The final person of the evening to speak was International Fraternity President Brother Ed Porter, Oklahoma ’65. Brother Porter had the

pleasure of handing out certificates of recognition to the 12 alumni in attendance who have been brothers for 40 years or more.

The evening was made even better by the attendance of eight undergraduates from our interest group at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. This was a great opportunity for them to learn what being a member of Delta Upsilon is all about.

New York City Brotherhood Reception

Fellowship and brotherhood were the main topics on May 3rd.

Brothers from all around the New York City area descended upon the Butterfield 8 Restaurant in mid-town Manhattan.

Those who attended also had the opportunity to spend time with former Secretary of the International Fraternity Board Brother Harry Laubscher, Virginia ’50. The event was also attended by Chairman of the Fraternity Board Brother Bill Messick, Lafayette ’68 and DU Educational Foundation Director Dave Schumacher. 17th Annual Lafayette Chapter DU Golf Outing and Founder’s Day Dinner on May 5, 2006 On a beautiful and warm spring day, brothers from the Lafayette Chapter assembled at Riverview Country Club in Easton, Pennsylvania for an afternoon of brotherhood and golf.

Following the golf scramble, brothers reconvened to Marquis Hall at Lafayette College for dinner and a short program. Undergraduate Chapter President Phil Vanier ’07 recognized undergraduate members for scholastic achievement and philanthropy in the community. Greek Advisor Terry Webber was in attendance and was given the opportunity to talk about where Greek life at Lafayette College is heading.

The DU International Fraternity and Educational Foundation mourn the loss of Brother Dr. Herbert E. Smith, Indiana ’52, who passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 in Bloomington, Indiana.

Brother Smith was a long-time volunteer for Delta Upsilon and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the DU Educational Foundation. For several years he was a mainstay at the Fraternity’s conferences.

He was born July 12, 1929 and grew up on a 400 acre farm in Crawford County, Indiana. He joined DU while a student at Indiana University, where he earned three degrees, all in the field of education: Bachelor’s Degree in Language Arts in 1952, Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance in 1954, and a Doctorate in Higher Education in 1964 with an outside minor in radio and television, an area that he dabbled in for many years.

He had been in the Air Force Reserve for six years and

Chairman of the Fraternity Board Brother Bill Messick, Lafayette ’68 who helped organize the day’s events made some comments about the Fraternity on an international level. The evening was capped off by some reminiscing by brothers from the class of ’61. The day could not have been any better, except for maybe the golf scores.

Delta Upsilon Remembers Brother Herb Smith, Indiana ’52 was called to active duty with the Strategic Air Command at Omaha, Nebraska during the Korean War. Herb spent 34 years at Indiana University, serving as Assistant Dean of Students for 20 years. He was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge and a 50 year member of Crawford Lodge 470 in English, Indiana. He was also a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and a 50 year member of the Shrine of North America. He was a Past President of the Scottish Rite Club of Monroe County, Past President of the Stone Belt Shrine Club of Bloomington. In 1994 he became the Potentate of the Murat Shrine in Indianapolis.

Delta Upsilon International Fraternity Treasurer’s Annual Report for 2004-05

D

elta Upsilon completed its 2004-05 fiscal year in a strong financial position with net assets of $2.32 million, including cash and equivalents of $2.21 million.

The fiscal year began by the Board of Directors, at the Leadership Institute in Portland, Oregon, announcing the appointment of Dave Maguire, Southern Illinois ’73, as Executive Director of the Fraternity. Earlier in the calendar year Dave had received the D.U. Distinguished Alumni Award in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to Delta Upsilon Fraternity. The year progressed in a less than smooth manner, challenging Dave and his staff with numerous accounting and operational situations. Installation of new financial systems, software, hardware, and personnel demanded smart, hard work and that was put forth successfully by all, ending the year as a much stronger and improved operation. These changes and upgrades are the keystone in providing the service center mentality and excellence in chapter support.

Net assets declined during the year by approximately $90,000 as investment returns were unable to keep pace with the prior year’s exemplary results; and, our operating deficit was unable to be offset by other earnings. The operating deficit was on-target with our approved budget and nevertheless does reflect disciplined expense control. Budget adjustments in subsequent years will need to be considered should we anticipate continued lower investment returns. However to keep things in perspective, this year’s normal transfer of $123,913 from the Permanent Trust Fund to the General Operating Fund was adequate to fully cover the entire operating deficit.

THE PERMANENT TRUST FUND is a Board designated fund supporting the Fraternity with an annual allocation of investment revenue and principal. As mentioned earlier, that

support was $123,913 in this fiscal period. The Fund held its own without market decline in the face of lower and mixed markets.

Net assets amounted to $1,659,735 at year end. This Fund continues to be managed by Brother Maury Mandel, Chicago ’55, and we thank him for his continued dedication and highly valued service to our Fraternity.

THE LOSS PREVENTION FUND is the other designated fund within our Fraternity and it supports our efforts to maintain reasonable insurance rates for our members. At the end of the year net assets stand at $710,864 and are available as insurance reserves for the future. It is noteworthy that our Fraternity has had excellent claim experience over the past five years and chapter insurance premiums are among the lowest charged to any

large fraternity. Loss prevention training and management are major components of all of our chapter member education and conference programs. Insurance revenue and expense comprises the largest single category of cash flow of fraternity management.

INVESTMENT IN BUILDING BETTER MEN The core purpose of Delta Upsilon is Building Better Men. In support of this purpose our professional staff continues to execute exciting programming that meets the challenge of developing leaders within Delta Upsilon for the 21st Century. Programming dollars were again directed to our exemplary educational conferences. Undergraduate member fees as well as chapter based fees cover only a portion of these costs. During the past year grants of $88,173 from the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation as well $123,913 from the Permanent Trust Fund were used to subsidize programming costs.

FUNDING PROGRAMMING GROWTH - To support Building Better Men at our chapters it is essential to cover the cost of our membership education programming by revenue growth. Revenue growth has come and will continue to come from three sources: 1. Undergraduate Fees — in 2004-05, individual member fees were held at $100 per man per year. Future revenue growth will come from efforts to increase average chapter size, as well as normal inflationary fee increases.

Research shows that chapters must maintain an average membership size of 40 men to maintain financial viability. I encourage all alumni to help your chapters meet this challenge of expanding membership.

2. Permanent Trust Fund - with assets of $1.66 million this fund provides additional support to the Fraternity’s operations. During 2004-05, $123,913 was transferred from the Permanent Trust Fund to the General Operating Fund of the Fraternity for educational programming. It is the policy of the Board of Directors to restrict withdrawals from the Permanent Trust Fund to 7% of year-end assets.

3. Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation Alumni financial support is received in the form of grants from the Foundation. This year grants amounted to $88,000, down from $96,000 the prior year. The Fraternity is very grateful for the support of the alumni base that contributes to the Foundation to support the educational initiatives of the Fraternity. We are looking forward to increases in the amounts available for grants as investment returns improve and fundraising efforts continue to expand.

Endowing Leadership Institute Scholarships David H. Wynja, Iowa ’67

Brother Wynja grew up in a small town in Iowa and subsequently attended the University of Iowa. He recalls that he had a very good fraternity experience at Iowa and he, as well as his DU brothers, benefited greatly from the house mother’s oversight and guidance.

He now lives in Colorado and owns a manufacturer’s rep agency which he has operated for 27 years.

He has chosen to give back to the Fraternity in the form of endowing a Leadership Institute scholarship through the Educational Foundation’s A New Chapter in Leadership – the Campaign for Delta Upsilon.

“The prime reason for young men to be at college is their education, and the guidance they receive such as in etiquette training and leadership skills makes their journey through their college years more enjoyable. They are learning to socialize, have fun, and apply and hone their leadership skills.

“They establish relationships that will help keep them in school and prepare them for their post-college careers as well as community involvement and family life.

“I would encourage anyone who has had an enjoyable college fraternity experience to assist the Educational Foundation in making it possible for today’s DU undergraduates, and those future DUs, to attend the Leadership Institute. The leadership skills they learn individually and in groups will benefit them immeasurably for the rest of their business and personal lives.”

James A. “Jim” Les, Bradley ’86, head men’s basketball coach for the Bradley University Braves, led his squad to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament this past season (with a record of 22-11). It was the first time since 1955 that the team had advanced that far … the ultimate loss was to Memphis; but there is next season with eight carry over players and three new men joining the team.

Brother Les was a ball boy 1972-75; point guard 1983-86; and then selected in the third round of the NBA draft in 1986. He played seven seasons in the NBA with Utah, LA Clippers, Sacramento, and Atlanta.

He was an assistant for WNBA Sacramento Monarchs for three years.

The Braves 2001-02 season was 9-20, and their first three seasons under Coach Les had a record of 40-49.

Les said that his Delta Upsilon experience was positive and supportive and he believes the values and principles demonstrated

by DU are beneficial lessons for any young man. He learned much about coaching while playing in the NBA and noted from each of the coaches for whom he played those traits and practices that he has proven to himself to be bench marks of the successful teams and players individually. Coach Les coaches the whole player, practicing the sport of basketball, but remembering the entire person, his life style and potential.

Go Braves!

The Alumni Association of the University of Chicago has presented Maurice S. Mandel, Chicago ’55, with a service citation for “service through alumni programs, on advisory committees, and through efforts made to ensure the welfare of the institution.” Brother Mandel began serving the University while an undergraduate in the college, president of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity, and a member of the yearbook staff. In an era of major curricular transition, he received an AB from the Hutchins College in 1956 and an AB from the Business School in 1957. In the five decades since his graduation, Maury has volunteered on the reunion committees of both classes and served as chairman for the 45th and 50th reunions of the College Class of 1956.

As a member of the New York Leadership Cabinet, Brother Mandel has recruited new volunteers for the University and encouraged generous giving by fellow alumni. His work has been a major part of the University’s efforts to increase alumni engagement and expand the University community in the New York area.

Maury was recognized in 2001 with Delta Upsilon’s Distinguished Alumnus Award, a much-deserved award for his years of dedication and selfless service to both the Fraternity and the Educational Foundation. He remains today involved, loyal, and more than willing to assist Delta Upsilon in every way.

Brother Samarrai is a presidential appointee to the Department of State, Special Assistant to the Bureau of Verification, Compliance, and Implementation. He works on Terrorism/WMD Financing and Funding: finding the money and then ways to stop the flow. His specific project is to encourage the American investment community to divest from their portfolios any stocks by companies that do business in terror-sponsoring states.

Rodney M. Blaco, Cal Poly ’96 and San Jose ’05 has received the Legacy Award presented by the San Jose State University IFC. The citation read: “In appreciation of your leadership, dedication and commitment to the values and principles that define what it means to be Greek. You have been a role model not only to the men of your chapter but to all fraternity men. Your willingness to give your time, guidance and advice to the men of IFC has been invaluable.”

Just released: Distant Bugles, Distant Drums, by military historian and author Dennis A. “Flint” Whitlock, Illinois ’64. Billed as the Union’s response to the Confederate invasion of New Mexico, the book describes the epic march of 1,000 Coloradoans to meet the Confederates near Santa Fe and the ensuing battles, as well as the death march of the Confederates returning to Texas. It was announced this spring that the Burndy Library will move this fall from the Dibner Building on the MIT campus to San Marino, California. It will become part of the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. In 1999 Richard F. Fagan, Washington ’52, donated to the library the Richard and Mary Fagan Collection, dedicated to the history of electric lighting. The Burndy Library was founded in 1941 and contains more than 50,000 volumes in the history of science and technology from antiquity to the Twentieth Century.

April 6 to 9, three DU brothers put aside their homework and everyday pursuits to practice their Army trade for those days. Chris Curtiss ’08, Matthew Ward ’07, and Michael Wheat ’09 traveled to Camp Navajo, near Flagstaff, Arizona, to partake in a new kind of ROTC exercise – a “joint” exercise. For the first time in nearly a decade, ASU ROTC joined the services from Northern Arizona University, the University of Arizona, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in a JFTX (Joint Field Training Exercise). All three DU brothers achieved high scores in both day and night land navigation across a mountainous and heavily wooded course. All three either received positive “spot” evaluations for exceptional displays of tactical or technical proficiency, or larger positive performance evaluations, indicating competence, dedication, and professionalism.This is what all have come to expect from the growing number of ROTC cadets who choose to follow the path espoused by Delta Upsilon.

Brother Smith, who will be teaching in St. Louis this fall, said he is interested in experiencing public policy first-hand. He said he will be better prepared for law school after two years with TFA. Brother Carpenter likewise is delaying his entry into law school, saying that he thinks that inequality in public education is our most pressing domestic issue: the “new injustice.” space outside the student center to construct a 10-man human pyramid for as long as possible.This event, along with tug-o-war, is an event that is taken seriously and for which the men practice.

The event kicked off and DU remained stable. All other fraternities fell except TKE and Delta Upsilon. DU remained in a stand off with them for at least five minutes and came out victorious.

HoustonChapter The Houston Chapter in late March participated in Frontier Fiesta, a nationally recognized event which Life Magazine called the Greatest College Show on Earth. Frontier Fiesta is put on by the University and the city of Houston to showcase the University’s student organizations.The event is set in a constructed town called Fiesta City which is comprised of tents with fronts on them, built by participating student organizations.This Texas-style festival is part of a long-standing tradition at UH with Broadway-style variety shows, carnival booths, cultural and educational performances, living historical exhibits, concerts by nationally known recording artists, a world-class cook-off, and a scholarship competition.The Houston Chapter was very proud to have their own brother, Brian Sellen ’06 (also Greek Man of the Year) serve as chairman of the

event, which required an extensive time commitment on his part to organize the three-day event, In addition to Brother Sellen’s participation in the event. Brother Rey Rodriguez ’07 was awarded with a $1,000 scholarship and Brother Jeff Rocheleau ’06 was named this year’s Mr. Fiesta for the second consecutive year, for raising over $2,500 for the fiesta scholarship fund.

The Houston Chapter this year teamed up with the ladies of Chi Omega to produce one of the many variety

shows put on during the event.The variety show was a satirical performance poking fun at variety shows of the events of past years.The Houston Chapter along with the ladies of Chi Omega were very excited that their variety show was awarded the coveted Joe Koppel Award for overall first place.This year has been tremendously successful for the Houston Chapter as they also were awarded the IFC Service Award and the Outstanding Leadership Award.

Iona Chapter The Iona Chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity held its fourth annual Wheelchair Basketball game on April 18.

The event featured the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Champion men’s basketball team against the professional wheelchair team of the United Spinal Nets.The game had a friendly, spirited feeling and garnered some coverage from the press because of the uniqueness of the event.

The brothers of DU have run this event more successfully each year it’s been held and plan to continue the tradition.The Iona Chapter is committed to holding events that include the entire campus and community to raise money for noteworthy charities.

On Saturday, May 6, Director of Chapter Development Jason Clark, Washington State ’01 and Leadership Consultant Andrew Martin, Washington State ’05 officially colonized a group of 15 men at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.The Johns Hopkins Chapter had been on campus since 1905, as Pi Kappa Chi, then in 1928 became a chapter of Delta Upsilon.The charter was suspended in 1999.The ceremony was held outdoors on the Homewood campus, on the steps of the historic Shriver Hall. Johns Hopkins University freshman Salman Mohammed was installed as Colony President.The Founding Fathers of the new chapter will go through a specialized education program in the fall.

Lafayette Chapter The Philadelphia office of Best Buddies International recognized biology major Nathan Parker ’08 as Outstanding College Buddy Director of the Year.There are 24 college chapters in the Philadelphia region.

Under Parker’s leadership, nine Lafayette students volunteered with the chapter this year.At the beginning of the school year, college volunteers are matched with buddies from the community referred to Lafayette’s chapter by the Association of Retarded Citizens of Northampton County.All buddies

with their profile of former Hawkeye basketball player Pierre Pierce.Taking several weeks to write the article, the two spoke with Pierce’s family, former teachers, and teammates in his hometown of Westmont, Illinois. Kerr and former DI reporter Nick Petersen took third in the same category for their reporting on house parties in Iowa City.The first place winners are submitted to the national competition.

All this earned them a first place overall finish. begins in the fall with about 12-14 groups, each group consisting of a fraternity and a sorority.This year the DUs teamed with Kappa Kappa Gamma and were 1 of 5 groups to be selected out of a total of 12 entries. Each group consists of 25 girls and 25 guys who practice everyday until the show premieres in the spring. During the fall semester they created a 20-minute show consisting of an original script, an original song, three rendered numbers and all original set designs.The performances were of amazing quality and were very entertaining.This year RCR raised almost $50,000 in just three nights of performances. It is one of the biggest philanthropic events in the country and DU was honored to be a part of it. associated with college chapters are 18 or older; Lafayette’s buddies ranged in age from 19 to 40 this year.Volunteers attend monthly chapter meetings and events with their buddies, talk to their buddies weekly, and spend time with them at least twice per month.

Parker points out that many volunteers meet with their buddies on a weekly basis.

Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies International is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.There are over 1,200 middle school, high school, and college campuses across the country and internationally that have Best Buddies chapters.

Manitoba DUs in conjunction with Alpha Delta Pi decided to ride the teeter totter for a full 72 hours. Starting on Tuesday, September 6 at noon and not stopping until Friday, September 9 at noon, both organizations were able to raise a grand total of $2,000.The proceeds were then divided between the two official charities, the Boys & Girls Club of Manitoba and the Ronald McDonald House. Full media coverage was given by local news agency and newspapers.

All proceeds raised by the teams went directly to the Boys & Girls Club of Manitoba.While the DU team didn't fare too well, all brothers who attended this year plan to come back again next year to dominate the event.

At the University of Missouri’s annual Greek Honors Night April 27, the DU Chapter won the top overall award, the Excellence Cup.This award is given to the chapter that exhibits the best overall combination of scholarship, service and philanthropy, leadership, and programming.

The chapter was runner-up in the leadership category and received special mention in a variety of other areas.

North Dakota Byrns. Also nominated for this honor were Professor Zlatko Plese (Religious Studies), Professor Donna LeFebvre (Political Science), and Professor Anne Hastings (Sociology).

In addition to the faculty awards, the Chapter also recognized members excelling in academic achievement. Evan Sloop was awarded the Dr. Arun Subramanian Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement. Awards were presented recognizing the highest GPA and those who made the Dean's List for Fall 2005.

On March 26, 2006 the members of North Dakota Chapter hosted a joint philanthropic spaghetti feed with the brothers of neighboring fraternity Pi Kappa Phi. Flyers were passed around the Greek community sending an open invitation to every Greek house in the community. Many of the houses came to show their support for both of our causes.The event brought in around $350 and the money that was raised went to the American Cancer Society and Push America.

The brothers of the Oregon Chapter have been busy since the first day of the spring quarter.The new executive members participated in a transition retreat conducted by Dominic Greene ’99, who is currently the Greek Advisor at the University of Washington.With Brother Greene’s help, the men were able to develop goals for both the current term and the rest of the calendar year.

John Duncan, Oregon State ’00, currently on the staff at the University of Oregon, facilitated a recruitment seminar for the younger members. On April 10, University President David Frohnmayer, initiated into DU in May 2001, spoke to the chapter and fielded questions on leadership, the University, and other topics.

PacificChapter Pennsylvania The newly installed Pacific Chapter of DU had a terrific year. DU gained half of the voting positions on the InterFraternity Council, put on a Haunted House for the Boys & Girls Club of Stockton, and also had a Campus-Wide Jolly Rancher Social which taught the dangers and consequences of drugging drinks.The chapter had a great rush and celebrated its first year with a weekend Bro’ Retreat in the Northern Californian Mountains along Feather River with off-roading, camping, marshmallows, and brotherhood! The men braved a huge storm and flooded tents but after that had beautiful weather and a great time.The Pacific DUs are proud to be a part of Delta Upsilon and look forward to next year!

The school year ended on a high note for the Pennsylvania Chapter.The final months of the spring semester featured successful events on all fronts, including a day of barbeque and sports with the Boys & Girls Club, a Brotherhood Formal at the Walnut Room establishment, and a lovely farewell dinner for the Class of 2006.The Fraternity also ended the year with new academic successes, having reached a 3.6/4.0 Brotherhood GPA for the first time in recent memory.
