As you know, in 1984 Delta Upsilon celebrates the one hundred fiftieth anniversary of the founding of our fraternity.

Our number one objective in this sesquicentennial celebration is the DU Second Century Challenge Fund 183411984. We hope and expect to raise $400,000 in gifts as an addition to the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation. Gifts to the Educational Foundation are tax deductible and our Executive Director, Bill Butler, can furnish you with a copy of the qualifying letter from the Treasury Department if you would like a copy.

The income of the Educational Foundation, including the income on the additional $400,000 Second Century Fund, will be used to support the educational activities of the Foundation and Delta Upsilon Fraternity, If you are not acquainted with these educational activities and their benefit to Delta Upsilon chapter members, please look again at the January, 1983, issue of Delta Upsilon Quarterly and acquaint yourself with the annual Leadership Conference and Career Seminar, the regional leadership seminars and the DU Presidents Forum Seminar.

A program was presented by the International Fraternity on the Educational Foundation and the status of the fraternity as a whole. In particular, a slide pre-

sentation was made in which you were featured giving a talk on what Delta Upsilon has meant to you during your association with the fraternity .. . .

"The luncheon at the Westin was most informative as to the Educational Foundation and the other scholastic activities of the fraternity. I now have a much better idea of where the contributions are going and how they are being used by the fraternity. The 35-40 alumni at the luncheon were all impressed with the presentation and the progress that the Foundation is making.

"It was interesting to note that I was the youngest alumnus at the luncheon. There was one other brother from Miami University, David Eagleson, who went to school with my father. After the luncheon, I introduced myself to Brother Eagleson . . . .

From Keys to Badges The Fascinating Story of Our DU Insignia When Delta Upsilon's fight against the evils attendant the early secret societies was successful, and the members of collegiate fraternities began to show their membership with various types of insignia, our first such insignia was a membership key .

One of the earliest, in the fraternity'S permanent archive collection which is kept in archive val,llts, is the Williams key shown in the illustration. Following the custom of early keys, it bears the early insignia of the fraternity arms; and it is interesting to note the balanced scales of justice that continues in the design of our coat of arms today.

In the Fraternity Catalogue for the year 1859 the frontispiece is a wood cut of the Delta Upsilon insignia or "crest" consisting of the monogram badge, but bearing the word "Equity" engraved where later Delta Upsilon badges were to have a chapter name engraved.

Overhead is the balanced scales design of the earlier insignia, and beneath, a floating ribbon bearing the motto in Greek letters "Ouden Adelon" (Nothing Secret) while rays of light emanate from the central badge, recalling the early

"crest" of the Anti-Secret Confederation which was the precursor of Delta Upsilon.

There was a considerable debate about whether the A/n ti-Secret Confederation should have a badge or other insignia at all. It was finally and forcibly urged that a badge or key would be a public declaration of the principles of the fraternity, and taking this stand, the Social Fraternity of Williams College declared for a badge in 1837.

The design offered by Charles G. Hazeltine, Williams 1839, who also suggested the motto, was the

one accepted. The features of this pioneer badge are shown in the reproduction of the key of the Reverend Jacob Best, Williams 1844.

It was an oblong gold key, the exact size of the illustration, and in design being similar to that of Phi Beta Kappa. It was not similar to those used by other fraternities of the time.

A little below the center on the obverse of the key were the letters "S F" (Social Fraternity) in strongly marked characters. Into the wreath opening at the bottom of the design is a twisted bit of ribbon. On one of its flying ends was inscribed "1834," the date of the establishment of the Williams Chapter.

On a bit of similar ribbon carried across the top of the wreath was inscribed the name of the owner.

The border ornamentation on the key is a serpentine line with two dashes in alternating bends, while the background is a series of fine parallel lines drawn perpendicular to the general course of the wavy line.

An eagle with outspread wings is the striking feature of the reverse of the key. It is a symbol that has been lost to the present symbols of Delta Upsilon. Above the eagle, flowing from its mouth, as if carrying the motto of its defiance, is a streamer on which is inscribed in Greek capitals the fraternity motto "aU DEN ADELON." Below the eagle, in large old English script are the letters "W. C." for Williams College.

One of the interesting stories that is told about the eagle on this early key was told by Dwight W. Marsh, Williams 1842, in which a friend in another fraternity pointed to the key, said half is scorn, "There's a goose on that key." With quick retort, Brother Marsh answered, pointing in turn to his friend's emblem: "And there's a badge on a goose!"

This key, with minor modifications was the badge of the Social Fraternity from 1837 to 1847. It was primarily manufactured by Barnas Sears & Company of New York City. .

The badge changed slightly with the times, and with it being manufactured by various jewelers. The Hamilton badge which belonged to DELTA UPSILON QUARTERLY'

Yates Hickey, Hamilton 1849, is distinguished by a larger plate for the symbols than that of the Williams key, but it is made lighter and less bulky in appearance by the concaving of the two vertical sides and all four corners.

The obverse bears, a little above the center, the artistically shaped letters "A.S.C." (Anti-Secret Confederation). Below them in rather large figures is the date of the Hamilton chapter's establishment in 1847. The engraver has put the date as a whole nearer one side than the other. The words of the Fraternity motto are separated; and the "Ouden" being inscribed on a streamer at the top of the plate, and the "Adelon" on a similar streamer at the bottom. The forked ends of the lower streamer are thrown up and close in upon the figures of the date.

A large circle with numberless radii interspersed with rays occupies most of the reverse, a bare margin being left between the circumference of the circle and the concaved side edges. Deeply marked across the radii is a part of balanced scales symbolizing the equity in college affairs which the Society espoused. Above the circle and following the curve around is the name of the owner, while below the circle is "Hamilton College," the chapter, engraved in script.

The 1884 Quinquennial catalogue of Delta Upsilon reported: "Possibly no more enthusiastic scene has occurred in our Fraternity's history than that

which occurred upon a September morning, when the Hamilton Chapter first exposed their badges to public gaze. Its thirty members marched from their boarding-house to the college chapel, with the keys dangling from their watch-chains. As they neared the chapel they were greeted with taunts and jeers and cries of 'What time is it?' In answer, the President of the society replied: 'The eleventh hour for opposition societies.' "

In 1858, the present design of the gold initiation badge, formed from a monogram of the Greek letters Delta and Upsilon, was presented to the Hamilton Convention

by Edward P. Gardner of Amherst, chairman of the Badge Committee.

It was officially adopted by the Convention on May 13, 1858, together with the motto, which appears in Greek form on the arms of the Upsilon. The Delta is always drawn as an isosceles triahgle whose altitude is equal to its base.

By mandate of Convention and long-time custom, the badge is worn over the heart in an upright position on the shirt or vest only. If a guard or pendant is attached, and in early times these often were stick pins with the first letter of the college name on them, the top of the badge should be level with the top of the shirt pocket and one-half inch to the right, the top of the guard or pendant should be level with the bottom of the badge and off the pocket.

Wearing the badge on certain types of pull-over sweaters rests with the good judgment and general customs of each chapter.

A long-standing tradition is that jeweled badges should not be worn by underclassmen, thus limiting their expense and wear to graduate members.

The Delta Upsilon badge may be draped in mourning to pay respects to a deceased brother by winding black silk around it horizontally to a convenient width, or placing a small piece of flat black ribbon behind it, before it is affixed to the shirt or vest.

Officially, the Delta Upsilon badge can be worn by no other person than a duly initiated brother, except his mother, wife or fiancee.

Under no circumstances is the badge to be reformed into a ring, although there are a ;number of official rings that have/;>een designed by various jewelers that have been authorized by the fraternity and include the monogram design of the Delta superimposed over the Upsilon.

The International Fraternity's headquarters badge collection contains some of the badges worn by local fraternities before they were admitted as Delta Upsilon chapters, a collection of old badges that have been donated by loyal alumni and friends, as well as some badges that alumni have contributed for the fraternity'S use in making presentations to newly installed chapters.

In addition, major officers of the fraternity wear antique badges that have been presented for their official symbols of office during their term of office. Alumni and undergraduates are invited to visit the badge collectiop and to look at the newly mounted display of the various stages in the production of fraternity jewelry that was made available by the L. G. Balfour Company of Attleb'oro, Massachusetts.

The Editor gratefully acknowledges the research that was done by Herbert Wheaton Congdon, Columbia 1897, former Qum路tedy Editor and fraternity executive, which appeared in earlier issues of the magazine.

When Delta Upsilon brothers first wanted to purchase the key which was the earliest symbol of our fraternity, they logically patronized local jewelers, who often sent their orders to manufacturing jewelers located in principal cities.

Even so, there was a good deal of license taken with the materials used, the jeweling, the design and size of the insignia.

It was not until 1858 that the Fraternity decided that a standard badge design should be approved

by Convention. Then, there were individual variations, but gradually the badges and other insignia began to be manufactured according to standards established by the fraternity's committee on insignia, one of the oldest of the standing committees in the Fraternity.

The standard gold badge is available from the fraternity headquarters, where it is stocked and orders are shipped the same day that they are received all during the school year.

Today, the standard initiate badge or pin includes the monogram Delta and Upsilon of the early design, and the Greek motto inscribed on the arms of the Upsilon.

Our earliest fraternity badges or pins were made by individual area manufacturing jewelers. They varied in size, design and jeweling.

Today, the official badge of plain 10K gold or clad metal with a gold tone is available exclusively from the fraternity headquarters.

Jeweled badges are available from a number of official jewelers and other supply sources, and are produced in a variety of sizes, with simple and elaborate jeweling.

Present day guards are most often letters standing for the college chapter, tiny miniature DU coats of arms, or the letters DU. Guards continue to be used to safeguard the badge and to keep it from being lost when it is worn.

Contemporary Insignia Manufacture Melds Old World Crafts, Artistry and Design In recent years, the high cost of gold in world markets has seen the establishment of a clad badge which is simply made of less costly metal clad with a light covering of gold. These gold clad badges currently sell for about half of the cost of the 10K badge, and are popular for undergraduate purchase in some chapters.

There are many other ways of identifying fraternity membership today. A wide variety of special shirts, ties, and other items with officially approved insignia are available from specified supply sources and from the Delta Upsilon General Store, the fraternity's resale operation.

Badges or pins have gained in popularity in the last two or three years, as campus fraternity members become more interested in formal insignia. In addition to the badge, there is the small monogram of the badge for lapel use, the staggered Greek-letter recognition button and a variety of official ring designs that are made by various manufacturing jewelers.

While in the early days, the fraternity jewelry industry was fragmented, today there are fewer than a dozen major manufacturers of this specialized insignia jewelry.

Perhaps the most prominent is the Balfour Company, founded in 1913 by Lloyd G. Balfour, an Indiana University Sigma Chi, for the express purpose of making fraternal emblematic jewelry.

Today, the Balfour Com pany is a leading producer of a wide variety of recognition products for high schools, colleges and industry. Visitors to its main plant, located in Attleboro, Massachusetts, still see production of fraternity jewelry, including Delta Upsilon badges, and a wide variety of recognition products.

other non-Greek letter organizations. Much of the business is individual orders, and much of it requires hand workmanship from start to finish.

When a new item of fraternity insignia is first manufactured, Balfour artists produce the original design illustration. That design is faithfully rendered in actual colors and to scale, then it is submitted to the fraternity's Insignia Committee and the Board of Directors for their approval before work begins.

The next step in the process is to cut a steel die. The die is pressed on sheets of gold, brass or sterling, creating a pin with some, but not all of its detail shaped.

Gold is Balfour's basic commodity, the company has long been a major purchaser of gold for jewelry used in North America. Gold

Usually the crown settings are for pearls, but other precious and semi-precious stones are sometimes used.

Next, comes the slowest and most painstaking process: hand engraving or bight cutting by which a craftsman with an incredibly sure touch cuts tiny patterns in the surface of the badge to highlight and brighten the gold.

While the Delta Upsilon badge is not enameled, for those badges that are, the ancient process known as cloisonne is used to enamel those

A look behind the Balfour Company scene fraternity badges. Finely-ground colored glass is applied by tweezers to the badge, after which it goes to the kiln where it is baked to melt and smooth the glass; the edges are filed and the badge is baked again, until the surface is flat, shiny and smooth.

Every year, the Balfour Company sets over a million gem stones into various kinds of fraternity jewelry. A thin collar of gold is raised, with a hand tool, around each stone to secure it in place.

Badges or other ornaments that are thickly gold electroplated must be dried . The drying medium is ground-up corn cobs, now harder and harder to get according to Balfour manufacturing experts.

A pantograph machine aids the craftsman in engraving on the backs of badges. The space for such engraving is typically limited. As he follows the pattern with a stylus, a tiny drill repeats the movement on a smaller scale, etching the information. It is usually the last step in the manufacturing process.

Closures are carefully affixed to lengths of gold chains which will hold Greek-letter pendants or lavalieres. Attention to detail, keeping scores of orders straight, insignia of the various groups in order, and each design to represent the original are important elements in the firm's continuing service.

Over time, the individual tools that the Balfour Craftsmen use become shaped to their hands, and they are as individual as each Delta Upsilon emblematic recognition product made today. Careful attention to the proper use of registered insignia is required in order to maintain high quality standards for the benefit of those who are honored to wear the Delta Upsilon badge.

John M. Richardson, Jr., Ph.D., Dartmouth '60, has been named by an international committee of the Simulation Councils of America as one of the twenty most effective decision-makers in the world. The DU Booksnelf will be carrying a review of a recent book authored by Dr. Richardson .

J. N. Wright Brigadier-General James N. Wright, Alberta '56, has assumed the appointment of Director General of Dental Services for the Canadian Forces . His contributions to dentistry were recognized in 1977 when a Fellowship in the International College of Dentists was conferred upon him, and in 1980 when he was appointed Honorary Dental Surgeon to Queen Elizabeth II.

J. B. Parks John B. Parks, DePauw '63, has been named director of financial planning and reporting by Eli Lilly and Company. He joined Lilly in 1965, and had served as director of administration for the company's affiliate in Argentina since October 1980.

R. P. Hanrahan The Tobacco Institute has announced the appointment of Robert P. Hanrahan, Bowling Green '56, to the position of Vice President of its Midwest Region. He formerly was a member of the U. S. Congress from Illinois' 3rd District; Deputy Assistant Secretary for Education in the U . S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare; and ran his own consulting firm, R. P. H. & Associates.

W. S. Bercher Waldo G. Heron, Illinois '42, president of Food Processing Consultants Company (FOODPRO) was chosen as 1982-'83 president of the American Society of Agricultural Consultants. Heron founded FOODPRO in 1963 to provide international consulting services to companies in canning, freezing and dehydration industries.

Retired Colonel Hubert E. Klemp, Kansas '26, and his wife were honored by the Topeka Chapter of The Military Order of the World Wars, which, among other things, seeks "to promote and further patriotic education in our nation." Klemp is the chapter's most recent member to become a Perpetual Member of The Military Order of the World Wars.

Albert L. Bynum, Houston '82, has received his degree, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and now is Assistant Manager at Abilene Country Club, Abilene, Texas.

William S. Bercher, Illinois '38, retired advertising manager for J. S. Latta Company, was distinguished with appointment as an honorary member of the National School Supply & Equipment Association during the association's . 66th annual convention and trade show.

The DU Second Century Fund An Investment in Leadership The Fraternity and Foundation: A Growing Partnership As Delta Upsilon Fraternity embarks on the plans for the 150th anniversary observances all across North America, and the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation announces its first campaign to build a leadership endowment, some alumni may have questions about continuing their annual contributions to the fraternity's alumni support appeal, as well.

Both are needed and wanted ; really essential to provide the extra quality in undergraduate and alumni programs, services and activities. Started in 1965, the Delta Upsilon annual alumni support appeal seeks to encourage alumni to contribute small , regular amounts to support the ongoing programs of the International Fraternity.

Programs, such as the leadership consultant visitation program, one of the first programs that undergraduate delegates supported in the early 1900s, are being partially supported by these contributions.

At the convention of 1917, undergraduates voted to levy an assessment on each undergraduate member for the purpose of funding a young alumnus to visit each Delta Upsilon chapter. The purpose of the visits was to help knit the fraternity's far-flung chapters together with communication , program idea exchange and technical know-how to help each chapter improve.

Today, the purposes of the leadership consultant position , a far cry from the earliest field secretaries, involves such

complicated and diverse assignments as reviving and reorganizing lagging chapters and identification, recruitment and preparation of alumni counselors, and advisors to help the chapters.

Following one of our Delta Upsilon leadership consultants on a tour of college and university campuses in Canada and the United States finds him visiting 50 or more different locations during the travel year that begins in August, immediately following the annual Leadership Conference and Convention , and winds up the following spring.

During that time he may be called upon to conduct numerous rushing schools ; to advise chapter treasurers how to set up for a budget and institute proper controls over spending ; and to provide orientation for the newly elected officers of a score of chapters.

On some campuses, the leadership consultant will have to detail programs for the assistance of chapters and at others only a little fine tuning may be required to provide the vital margin of chapter excellence.

Spanning the chapter roll requires detailed planning, balancing the eight different, major academic schedules of colleges and universities. As an example, college opening dates that were being set early in August on some campuses, are now moving back a bit to later in the month, presumably to give students more time to earn tuition and expenses with summer employment. At the other end of the calendar there is a lot of tightening up on

commencement dates as institutions try to graduate their seniors earlier to give them a bit of a lead in finding jobs.

In January, there are the January Plan schools that provide a month of time for special projects for students , then there are the staggered spring breaks.

In many areas three or four major institutions will stagger their break times at the ends of terms so that major clogs will not occur in the limited transportation network.

While it may be geographically and econom ically efficient to visit all of the chapters in one area, those varied opening and closing dates, and staggered vacation schedules may prevent that as a possibility. It then becomes necessary to pick off a chapter visit out of the geographic sequence.

Chapter need in the fall and at the start of school terms usually requires the deployment of the leadership consultant staff in key locations where the fraternity may not survive without expert assistance.

For one chapter it may be too high accounts receivable that is near to sealing their doom. At another campus it may be the accumulation of misconduct and irresponsibility that the leadership consultant must find creative ways to deal with.

Yet another chapter may have failed with rushing and requires in-depth instruction in the fundamentals of leadership, organization and renewal of their self-confidence. All are in the purview of the leadership consultant as he adds miles to his

travel records.

The colleges and universities of North America are often located in remote places, suited to academic pursuits, but reached with difficulty by plane, bus, train and car.

Logistical planning and organization of these visitation schedules begins in the late summer and in December and requires a detailed knowledge of airline routes, transportation quirks, and chapter requirements.

All are balanced in an effort to achieve an optimal balance.

The cost of providing the field staff service has doubled in the last decade, and is in the process of increasing sharply again, as the price of air transportation soars.

Air continues to be the most efficient and cost-effective means of covering the distance on the chapter roll because of the fraternity's demographic distribution of chapters.

Fraternities with a more dense distribution of chapters may find that field staff in certain areas can drive an automobile with good effect, but three experiments in Delta Upsilon have disproved that approach.

So the leadership consultant, one of the most vital and necessary links between the chapters, lives out of a suitcase in order to bring the programs, ideas and components of the contemporary fraternity to undergraduates and key alumni advisors alike.

Of course, the field staff program is just one of the ongoing activities of Delta Upsilon that the annual appeal supports. Alumni , in ever-increasing numbers have provided the resources to maintain programs that the tiny endowment of the fraternity would be totally inadequate to sustain. That is the reason that your alumni support

check on an annual basis is vital and necessary.

At the same time, it is hoped that substantial numbers of Delta Upsilon alumni will want to add their names to the Hall of Honor by becoming inaugural members of the Delta Upsilon Education Foundation's first appeal for support.

The Foundation and the Fraternity have entered into a unique partnership to make this Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation Second Century Challenge the major focal pOint of the sesquicentennial observance.

While the fraternity's annual alumni support appeal provides the funding needed to support and enrich existing programs, the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation aims to increase its support of and involvement in the educational activities of the organization.

Those activities include the annual leadership conference and convention held each August for the chapter officers; the Career Seminar and a program of career and life planning for undergraduates and alumni; the new Delta Upsilon Alumni Institute designed to prepare the next generation of chapter alumni advisors, counselors and corporation officers; the expansion of the Presidents Forum Seminar; and special alumni and undergraduate recognition programs.

When a campaign, such as the Delta Upsilon Second Century Fund is in its initial stages, commitments received are vitally important to its success. That is the reason that all Delta Upsilon alumni are being asked to consider what the fraternity means to them, and how they might best help advance its future by providing educational opportunities and programs that the operating budget of the fraternity can no longer sustain .

The Trustees of the Delta Upsilon i::ducational Foundation have established major levels of giving for the campaign that include recognition and membership in each of the giving categories.

All alumni donors to the Educational Foundation program are enrolled in the Delta Upsilon Council of Founders. Checks in the $100 to $499 range permit membership in the 1834 SOciety commemorating the founding of Delta Upsilon Fraternity.

Membership in the Williams Society, that recognizes the founding chapter of Delta Upsilon, is for gifts in the $500 to $999 range .

The Anson Hobart Society, named after the first president of the Social Fraternity at Williams College, the precursor of Delta Upsilon, recognizes givers at the $1 ,000 to $2,499 range.

Membership in the Founders Society is conferred upon alumni who make giving commitments in the $2,500 to $4,999 classification.

Special recognition is given to those in the Charles Evans Hughes Society, named after the most distinguished of fraternity presidents, for their contributions to Hie Foundation in the amount of $5,000 and above.

We believe that many alumni will want to make significant gifts to the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation drive. There are many ways that you can give to the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation. Many alumni donors and friends will choose to give cash and make pledges over the three year period .

Other alumni will make their gifts to the Foundation by donating securities; making gifts of life insurance; or remembering the Foundation in their will by specific bequest. Gifts of property and collections are welcome and encouraged in addition.

There are also several provisions for named gifts and others may be designed on request. The Trustees of the Foundation and the members of the Joint Development Committee are interested in talking with alumni who have interest in such projects.

One such project, the Charles Evans Hughes Fellows program that seeks to build an endowment suitable to present scholarships to educational seminars for outstanding undergraduates has already been commenced through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. William Gossett. The late Mrs. Gossett was the daughter of Charles Evans Hughes.

Recognition of Distinguished Sponsors Every donor of $1 ,000 or more will receive a specially numbered and inscribed presentation copy of the Delta Upsilon 150-year history that has been written by Orville H. Read, Missouri '33, a former officer and director of Delta Upsilon and editor of the Delta Upsilon Quarterly for 22 years.

Each donor will receive a special invitation to the dedication of the Hall of Honor at the International Fraternity headquarters in Indianapolis at the completion of the campaign. This gala event will be a fraternity affair long to be remembered and one of the highlights of the sesquicentennial.

Thomas A. Prentice, Texas '74, was one of five journalism teachers recognized by the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund for outstanding contributions to scholastic journalism. Prentice teaches journalism at Stephen F. Austin High School, Austin, Texas, and advises the school newspaper and yearbook.

William Wallace III, Union '48, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Ebasco Services Incorporated. He will continue as the firm's chief executive officer. Wallace joined the international engineering/construction company in 1947, and had served as their president and chief executive officer since 1980.

In the twenty-five years since leaving Harvard, he has worked predominantly in the medical equipment industry. However, during the period 1968-1976, he was an officer of Cresap, McCormick and Paget, Inc., an international generaL management consulting organization.

Brother Schoen has also written extensively in the field of management, including articles appearing in the Harvard Business Review.

From 1970-1977, he was active in the government of his local community, Bronxville, New York, culminating in a term of office as elected mayor.

His wife, Barbara, is Associate Professor of Language Arts, State University of New York at Purchase. The Schoen's have four children.

In 1958, he Was elected corporate secretary and a director of the firm and in 1961 became president of this investment management operation, a position he held until 1970.

In 1965, Mr. Jacobus formed Heritage Wisconsin Corporation (originally named Inland Financial Corporation) with the purpose of providing business, goyernment, and individuals with a complete range of financial services. The newly formed holding company then purchased full ownership of Heritage Investment Advisors.

Jacobus entered the !=ommercial banking business in 1966 when he organized Heritage Bank Milwaukee, now the lead bank of nine subsidiary Heritage Banks located in southeastern Wisconsin. Other subsidiary operations within Heritage Wisconsin include a trust company, a leasing firm, data process" ing and an insurance agency dealing in credit-related insurance.

Heritage Wisconsin, with over $500 million in assets, is the sixth largest bank holding c'ompany headquartered in Wisconsin. Total employment riumbers 665 persons.

Response to my column in the January issue of the Quarterly was very encouraging, and we are in the process of getting some more alumni involved as a result.

Others will be added to our growing DU Talent Bank that lists interested alumni in our volunteer pool. The DU Talent Bank was put to work recently to help locate alumni with certain skills and experience. It is a way to identify those of you most interested in helping Delta Upsilon where and when you are most needed.
