Over the past number of years, many non-prot organizations have seen their donations decline. With this in mind, Silica For Your Home has organized its annual Pay It Forward Event to benet these organizations. “Giving back to our community has always been important to our company” said President Tom Schneider. “Offering our customers the Pay It Forward Event

Please submit ONE .jpeg photo (size of file not to exceed 150KB) of your entry, either a day time view or night time view. Photos must be submitted to: info@newholsteinchamber.com. For further assistance please contact the Chamber at 920.898.9095. All photos must be submitted by Thursday, December 8, 2016. The New Holstein Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse any entry. This contest may be discontinued or rules changed at any time if needed. All qualifying entries will display the one photo and address of the entry in a Survey Monkey template. The online link will be posted via The New Holstein Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and on the New Holstein Area Chamber of Commerce website (http://www.newholsteinchamber.com). Online voting will take place starting Sun., Dec. 11 and close on Sat., Dec. 17. Closing Time If you have ever worked the evening shift at a grocery store, you know that they typically reduce prices an hour or two before closing. This is especially true in the meat section. It’s a great way to cut the cost of feeding a family. I’m in the store many nights, so I can buy just what I need for the next day. But you could buy a week’s worth of meat and freeze most of it. Rhonda Reaching Your Goals I learned something from my exercise program that helped my finances. I found that I did better if I either signed up for a six- or eight-week course or if I had a very specific short-term goal and time frame. Now I have certain frugal living sites I read and I have four-, six- and eight-week goals. Currently, my goal is to pay off the credit card that I use for craft supplies. The balance is less than $200, but I don’t want to pay interest. I have until Nov. 20 to reach my goal. Even if I miss by a few dollars, I’m still better off than if I told myself that someday I’d get it paid. And, I’ve also lost 13 pounds since June 1. Elayne
