PARADIGM

25 years ago, our National Founding Mothers founded the best Sxsterhood. During our founder's week, we celebrated our alumni, our Sxsters, and our dedication to service! The theme this year was DKD’s Silver Jubilee to highlight the last quarter of our organization, and look forward with hope to the next 25 years of our shimmering sxsterhood.
I hope this finds you all in good health and high spirits With a heart full of gratitude and pride, I wish you all Happy 25 Years! As we mark this epic milestone together, I am reminded of the shared strength, resilience, and unity that defines us.
Our sxsterhood is more than just an organization; it is a sanctuary of empowerment, community service, professional success, and worldly activism. As the National President of Delta Kappa Delta, I am honored to know and witness firsthand the transformative impact we have had on the lives of our members and the community around us Each of you contribute to the tapestry of our sorority and your unwavering dedication plays a pivotal role in shaping our continued success
From our revered National Founding Mothers who first envisioned a community built on service and sxsterhood, to Charter Alumni and Active members who inspire us to grow our impact and persevere through challenges, to our newest Baby Peacocks who bring fresh energy and perspective - each sxster has contributed to the everlasting mosaic that is Delta Kappa Delta
In the past few months, we shared in some memorable successes. We came together in Dallas, Texas this summer to celebrate our kick-off to 25 years with our Silver Jubilee Banquet, attended by some lovely alumni sxsters and NFMs! We donated $1550 to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and spoke out against Sexual Violence in India We reached over 2 million completed service hours in our organization’s history, and presented over 15 scholarships It is incredible to see the achievements of our sxsters
As we finally make our way out of the pandemic era, we find ourselves in a new period of change and resilience. Challenges are inevitable, but our organization has proven time and again to stand unwavering in our commitment to our values, pillars, and each other. I am excited and optimistic to see all the strides we continue to make as charters, individual sxsters, and as an organization. My hope for us this upcoming year is to embrace change, remain rooted in our legacy of service and leadership, and re-strengthen our values to set ourselves up for a more flourishing tomorrow.
I encourage each of you to take a moment to reflect on this journey we have traveled together Let us honor the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before us, and acknowledge the continued responsibility we bear for generations to come We must safeguard our legacy Once DKD, always DKD
In closing, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your steadfast dedication, love, and passion to Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, Incorporated. It is an absolute honor and privilege to be leading this incredible group of womxn, and I am beyond excited to see the remarkable heights we will reach together in the next 25 years ahead.
With all my respect and love,
Rupa Ravi Seshadri

Her focus on community health has further translated to her profession as a family health physician. Her experience in developing and implementing projects motivated her passion for community healthcare. Our Amethyst Actives segment highlights the incredible actives who continue to form and mold the next chapter of Delta Kappa Delta with their personal and professional successes in their charters and on their campuses. Through their remarkable achievements and unwavering spirit for our organization, these individuals serve as the fuel for the eternal flame of our sxsterhood.
Simran Ford, a dedicated sxster of Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, Inc , has made an extraordinary impact on the Texas A&M community through her leadership and passion for service In Fall 2022, she took on the challenge of restarting the Delta Kappa Delta chapter at Texas A&M, officially re-recognizing the sorority on campus in Spring 2023. Simran’s drive to bring DKD back stemmed from her unique multicultural upbringing her mother, Punjabi South Asian, and her father, English American, instilled in her a deep respect and love for both of her heritages. She wanted to continue celebrating her cultural identity in college and ensure that South Asian inclusivity had a place on a campus of over 80,000 students. Despite Texas A&M's size, very few organizations represented South Asian culture, which drove Simran to lead the way in making sure that her community was seen and celebrated
Simran was drawn to DKD not just for the sxsterhood, but also for the focus on service impacting the community through action and education She didn’t want to simply join an organization for the title, but rather to be part of a movement that embodied the change she wished to see Her leadership roles in the chapter have been vast, serving as President, Vice President, Recruitment Advisor, Academic Chair, and more Through these positions, Simran has grown as a leader, transforming DKD into a thriving chapter and laying the foundation for its future success
Outside of her sorority, Simran is excelling in academics and pursuing her career in medicine. A biology major on the pre-med track, Simran’s goals are to make healthcare accessible to all and to develop strong, meaningful relationships between providers and patients. She recognizes the challenges within the U.S. healthcare system and is determined to be part of the solution. In January 2024, Simran was accepted into Texas A&M’s early assurance program, Aggies 2 Medicine, which guarantees her a spot at Texas A&M’s School of Medicine. This accomplishment is a testament to her hard work and dedication to making an impact in the field of healthcare.
For the past year and a half, Simran has also been a peer mentor for first-generation students at Texas A&M, guiding them through the challenges of college life, from academics to personal well-being In addition, she is involved in research, focusing on cellular and molecular biology, and spends her free time volunteering, reading, writing, and trying new coffee shops and desserts Simran’s dedication to service, leadership, and personal growth is truly inspiring, and her impact on Delta Kappa Delta and the broader community continues to grow As she moves forward in her medical career, she will undoubtedly carry the values of sxsterhood, service, and cultural inclusivity with her, making a meaningful difference in the lives of many
Hailey has made an indelible impact as an active sxster of Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, Inc, through her dedication to service, leadership, and advocacy on her campus and as a founder of our 20th charter As a senior at Miami University, majoring in Psychology with minors in Human Capital Management & Leadership (HCML) and General Business, Hailey’s commitment to uplifting her sxsterhood and her campus community is evident in everything she does
As a founder of the Miami University chapter of DKD, Hailey has played a crucial role in establishing a space for South Asian women to connect through a shared passion for service and cultural understanding This year, Hailey serves as the Vice President, Resident Assistant (RA), and Academic Chair of her chapter, demonstrating her leadership and dedication to the organization Her efforts in leading the chapter reflect her vision to foster a supportive, serviceoriented community where her sxsters can thrive academically, socially, and personally. Despite the chapter being small, with only five members, Hailey's bond with her sxsters is unbreakable, and her leadership has created a strong foundation for future members to build upon.
Hailey’s passion for service and leadership extends beyond DKD. She is the Co-Founder of Girl Gains at Miami University, an organization that promotes empowerment and education in weightlifting, nutrition, and wellness. Through this initiative, Hailey has inspired women on campus to embrace strength and confidence, creating a supportive environment for women in fitness This empowerment-driven mission aligns with the values she upholds as a sxster of DKD, emphasizing the importance of self-confidence and solidarity
Additionally, Hailey serves as the Director of Ambassadors for the Diversity Affairs Council on campus In this role, she acts as a key liaison between 65 diverse student clubs and the Director of the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion (CSDI) Hailey’s efforts in connecting student clubs with training and funding resources have significantly contributed to the success of various organizations on campus, helping them thrive in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Hailey's decision to bring DKD to her campus was rooted in her passion for service and her desire to join a multicultural Greek organization. Although she struggled to find her niche during her first two years of college, the opportunity to establish DKD provided her with a platform to create the community she longed for. Together with her co-founders, Hailey has built a space where service, cultural identity, and sxsterhood intersect, fostering an environment where every member feels valued and supported
