DELTA ESA POLICY
Delta Airlines has specific guidelines for traveling with emotional support animals (ESAs). Passengers must provide a letter from a mental health professional stating that the passenger has a mental or emotional disability and that the animal is necessary for the passenger's treatment. The letter must be dated within one year of the flight and must include the mental health professional's contact information. Passengers must also provide a signed veterinary health form and proof of vaccinations for the animal. Only one ESA is allowed per passenger and the animal must be able to fit at the passenger's feet, under the seat, or on the passenger's lap. Around breeds of dogs, including pit bulls, are not allowed as ESAs on Delta flights.
